“This restaurant is absolutely phenomenal! I’ve lived in Matthew’s ever since I was born and I never would’ve expected such a lovely, atmospheric restaurant to be this close to home as me and my family usually drive at least 30 minutes out for a good dining experience. I visited Sizzle for the very first time today after eating at an extremely lackluster sushi place in Charleston earlier this week and I was so delighted by the friendliness of the servers and kitchen staff at Sizzle. The Braised Tofu and Vegetables is a solid choice for vegetarians, it was so well marinated that I can honestly just eat the peppers and carrots (which, by the way, retained their crunch and flavor while still being completely cooked ?). My boyfriend and I shared a plate of their sesame balls fresh from the fryer, and no other sesame balls, in my opinion, can even hold a candle to what we were presented with! Our server was also absolutely amazing, she was very helpful and kept our water full! Sizzle should be called the Mitochondria, because it is the powerhouse of Matthew’s. I will be back soon with my father and brother to try another dish. Thank you Sizzle for this experience, I will be day dreaming about you :)“

“The food here is good but not the flavor profile I am the biggest fan of. I only had the Sesame Chicken, so I will probably come back to try more menu items. The sweet tea was delicious. The egg roll wasn't my favorite but not nasty at all. The customer service was good. They are indeed busy and loved in the community. They are greeted by name, and they know a lot of the people that came in by name. Nothing was bad here. The place was very clean!“

“Love their rice, I think it is Jasmine rice and maybe has some butter on it. I don't know exactly but it is so good. Their wonton soup is great too. Did not care for the sweet and sour sauce but that is personal preference, it was too sweet, the chicken it came with was good though.“

“Decent option for Chinese in Charlotte! Been looking for some time. We ordered takeout and picked up the goods. The restaurant was clean and quiet when we arrived about an hour and a half till close. The hostess was kind and helpful. She made sure plenty of sauce (duck and soy) was given and even went to the kitchen to supply me with homemade in-house chili oil I'm obsessed with & requested upon arrival (theirs was great btw). For the food: I ordered a simple veggie lo mein. It was flavorful and not greasy like some can be. My boyfriend ordered the sesame chicken which was also very flavorful. Unfortunately, they forgot to put our fried rice in the bag that comes with the order and that was a bummer. We each tried a soup, him miso which was fine, but my egg drop wonton soup was extra tasty.. huge wonton portions with a creamy broth from the egg. The crispy bits on the side were plentiful but stale. Lastly, we ordered the crab rangoon app. The filling was excellent, not over/under stuffed and the cream cheese with crab was really tasty. The fried portion was a little soggy (not as crisp as I'd like) however, I think it maybe just doesn't travel well and would be better ordered dining in.. we'll see for next time because we'd like to try Ming Fu again!“

“I had heard good things about Lams Kitchen and most of those things lived up to my expectations when I finally got around to going. When you walk into any ethnic style restaurant and there are a lot of people of that culture in there eating, then you know that you are in the right place and that you are going to get the real deal, and that is exactly what I got at Lams Kitchen. We tried about 10 diffrent dishes and my top 4 would be the Roast Duck, Char Siu, Orange Beef and the Beef Shank. I definitely plan to go back because the menu is so big that there are so many more things I want to try, but also because they have a pretty large Dim Sum Menu, but only at lunch, and I happened to go at dinner.“

“Li’s is an awesome restaurant close to Matthews. A couple years ago, they were only taking to-go orders, but they are back open and the dining space is very cordial. The cashier lady/waitress is extremely friendly and the food comes out super quick! I highly recommend this spot!“

“Super clean, great atmosphere, amazing staff, incredible food!! Everything was absolutely perfect!! Gloves at every serving table make it easy to protect yourself when making your plate, staff all wearing masks properly, tables skipped so seating keeping us at safe distances. Will be back very soon!!We went tonight with our family from our of town and we were very disappointed. The food wasn't fresh enough.“

“We've been eating here a long , but this is my first review because tonight's dinner was do good. The hot and sour soup was probably the best I've had in years in the Charlotte area. It was amazing! Hot, and the brirh was thinner than what moat restaurants make..it was SOUP not gel! The Singapore Noodles were delish! Plenty of chicken,pork and shrimp. Very large order and very tasty...nice curry flavor too. My son had the beef lomein and husband had orange chicken. Both were very good and both had left overs. The egg rolls are legit as is the homemade mustard and homemade duck sauce. The staff are always very kind and happy to serve.“

“The food was really good the one time that I ate here.More importantly, to me, it appears to be a small family business.One of the things I noticed, was one of the gentleman that was working there came out while I came in to check on the food and was helping his son do some school work.I seen lots of smiles, and lots of love, and that shows up in the food unquestionably !I am not supporting this place because they’re a small businesses because of the natural energy in the place, reasonable prices, fast service, and really good food .I just really like the energy. “Food is always great here...ALWAYS. Staff is always friendly and the food comes out very quick. I know there's the running joke about Chinese take out always being 10 minutes but this place rarely misses the mark. I know I can call and order and immediately leave the house and drive there from idlewild and 485 and it'll be coming out ready when I get there. Portions are large also so never a shortage of food. Usually can have enough for lunch the next day.“

“First time customer and, wow, I will be back! Even though I ordered delivery, every single thing arrived still hot, perfectly fresh and crispy, and the flavors were phenomenal! The portions were large and food was well-priced. We’re eating leftovers 24 hours later and even the leftovers are incredible.We had: General Chen’s Chicken, egg and spring rolls, fried dumplings, and wontons. I would (and will) order every one of those items again!“

“i come here or get take out weekly. Its one of the best chinese restaurants I've been too in charlotte. the staff is warm and welcoming. the food is easily customizable. I've not had a bad meal here. i like the garlic sauce here with any meat. their spring rolls are killer good. I'm a fan of their soups especially hot and sour. it not a huge restaurant, but they have decorated it very nice. the food is always piping hot even the togo food... I enjoy it as often as I can. you should help support this mom and pop place. its well worth it.“

“We called in for a to-go order on a Saturday evening. It took a few tries of calling before someone would answer, but then they were nice and friendly. At the end, they said it would be almost 40 min for our order. My husband was shopping nearby, and went in to pick it up. He said the staff was friendly, and the food was ready earlier than quoted. Once he got home, we enjoyed the food. We got everything we ordered, and it was delicious. Great place to go for quick Chinese food!“

“Our favorite Chinese food place in the area. Everything we have ordered is good including the broccoli in brown sauce, boneless spareribs, dumplings, and soups. The order is never wrong and they bailed us out for catering, short notice for a party without question. Good people, good food, and decently priced.“

“Simply the best Chinese food around. I have celiac disease so finding a Chinese restaraunt to accommodate is a challange, but Julie is on top if it and Chin customizes my weekly lunch , or twice weekly lunch! There is nowhere else that compares. I can't comment on the fried food because I don't eat anything fried, but my husband does and gives it all 5 stars, too. I've never been disappointed with my meal even after a solid 12 years regularly, and my husband started eating there regularly probably 12 years before that! We miss it terribly when we go out of town, even for just a few days! I almost forgot to mention that it is very clean, extremely clean compared to almost every other Chinese food place I've ever eaten in.“

“I was looking for a Chinese buffet and tried Asian Buffet & Grill because of the reviews. First, this place is pretty big. The decor is usual, but it could use some repairing / maintenance. Second, the waitress did a good job checking if I needed anything. Third, the food was pretty good. There are many choices, from hibachi to sushi to soups and the buffet with numerous choices. The crablegs were medium to large in size and very good. The price is reasonable for all the choices offered. I would recommend Asian Buffet & Grill.“

“Don't let looks deceive you, by that I mean don't let the outside of this place let you think the food is bad. The food is perfect, consistent American Chinese.We moved hear from New York in 2013 now 2024, we've tried every Chinese place in a 15 mile radius not one place was close to being as consistent as China 2. We order takeout only, here alot. Its the same every time. Never been sick always same huge portions,and always always consistent. When i find something that works, and works well, i dont Change it. China 2 gets 5 stars EVERY time.“
