“On a rainy Sunday of course the place was packed. We had placed our name on the list via the internet, so once we checked in, we only waited 5minutrs before being seated. The space was a little cramped, but I am a thick chic, lol. Although our space was an arms length away from our neighbors, I didn’t feel violated until those of us who was sitting on the bench had to excuse ourselves. Jessica was our server…she wasn’t perfect on a busy Sunday but she was perfect for us. She was professional, kind and understanding. She even went out of her way to get an item she thought was out!!! So Jessica…keep doing you, cause you damn sure make it look good!!!“

“Stopped by on a Monday morning. No wait, sat down immediately, and greeted by our server. Everything was great. Service, quality of food, and timeliness of food from start to finish were all fantastic. I ordered the bacon avocado bowl which was an item I would usually not order, but decided to step out of my comfort zone and try something different. Although there were no "roasted" grape tomatoes(plain cold grape tomatoes). It was tasty and satisfying. My mom had the bissell breakfast which she throughly enjoyed.“

“The food and the service are both fantastic! We had the best waitress when we went who was very friendly and bubbly. We got the chicken and waffles and the grilled cheese and tomato soup, they were both delicious (the pricing can sometimes be on the higher side depending on what your getting, both of these were about $16 each) i definitely recommend, the inside is so cute and so is the patio which is heated in the winter!!“

“Wow. First off service was very southern and hospitable. The waitress made an effort to check in and give suggestions as it was out first time. She even went over the different sauces that were on the table! The food was great as well. Our appetizer was the chicarrons and they were still sizzlings, so extra pints on that. We got a meat bbq platter and the salmon meal. Both had their fare share of salt but I enjoyed the experience of North Carolina bbq. The aesthetic of the restaurant also makes this place memorable. You have the history in the building and nice spot in the center of town.“

“My sons took me to the local scoop. And we all had those large waffle cones and are choice of ice cream and it was awesome. While we were there more people came in so there was just a whole lot of people in there, just enjoying ice cream. It was delicious!.“

Remember to try the chicken sandwich that contains enough chicken content and the taste is great too. Lastly, never miss trying the salads and soup.“

“We went on a Saturday evening to enjoy some food and entertainment. The band was good but the food was not so good. I ordered meatloaf that came with mashed potatos and green beans. The potatos and green beans were very good but they had no gravy for the potatos or meat loaf. The meat loaf was dry and tough to cut with a fork. It did have a bit of spicy sauce to jazz it up but the dish was so dry I ended up not eating it my wife ordered the fish which was a smaller portion but she liked and enjoyed.“

“I ordered the açai bowl. This was literally a breath of fresh air after almost not eating one in over a year. Everything tasted absolutely delicious and fresh. The service was amazing. Plenty of toppings. I love that you could have two extra toppings. I wish it had a little bit more açai in it. I also never had a açai bowl with Nutella so I thought that was extra delicious. There’s a variety of fruit that you can add and you can create your own bowl. This is a place I would definitely recommend and you can have a guilt free dessert. Food, beverage, ambiance, all top notch They even have live music on Fridays All warm, welcoming smiles from the host desk all the way to the wait staff and managers. Bartenders are great. Food- I think my rolls were Spider, Hibachi beef and Miru Mountain and they were sooooo good! My fiancee ordered a bento box and the meat was very good and tender. The service was great, the staff is very welcoming and attentive. The presentation was beautiful and price is very reasonable. The atmosphere is nothing pretentious, is on the darker side, more light would be nice. We will definitely be back! Enough parking right in front of the restaurant, so that is a plus!“

“The chicken souvlaki platter was all-encompassing fulfilling and delicious. I was happy that you were still providing a fresh meal that late in the evening (because some restaurants microwave food), and I still had enough to take to work the next day (but wished I had more), and still tasted delicious. Your staff, especially the desk staffer that took my order, were wonderful to interact with (especially when you just want to go home, eat, do no exercise, and sleep). Their coconut chutney and sambhar are delicious. The lady Olga’s customer service is very nice. “I am ashamed to say I’m a Matthews native and still live here and I literally had NO clue this was a restaurant lol. But in any case now that I know, best believe me I will be back. The outside is the small town charm of Matthews, but the inside is modern big city vibes. It is absolutely beautiful in there. Service was great and food and drinks amazing. I went on a Tuesday with a huge group of Facebook Group friends and we had a ball. We got the whole dining area reserved for us and in spite of a large crowd, the two waitresses were awesome. On Tuesdays cocktails are half off so I got the margarita and it was delish.For food I got the truffle fries and short rib sliders. Both were phenomenal! I couldn’t even eat it all lol because even though small plates, I felt they both were filling. This place is great for a date night, hanging with the girls or even going solo to hang out at the bar. I can’t wait to get back! Only thing that could make this place better is some live acoustic music sometimes, it would set the ambience off even more. Spoke with the owner and he said they do cocktail classes as well, they don’t have them listed on the website but working on it, but said can email them for the info. I certainly will! lol“

His team prepared all the food and it was fabulous, seasoned to perfection, on time and did not disappoint. I will use Showmars in Monroe for my next event. So happy, I made the right choice, everyone enjoyed everything absolutely delicious.“

“Brixx at Blakeney We eat here at least once a week. There are several items I love, but I change them out based on the season. We eat the Southwestern Chicken salad all year long. The mildly spiced dressing gives it just enough flavor so you don't feel you are eating just a salad. They are accommodating, if you like extra chicken, spring mix instead of romaine. My favorite pizza is the Spicy Shrimp. Lots of jumbo shrimp which are always fresh and delicious. Customer service is outstanding. We know many of the servers and it feels like home going to eat there. Their Artichoke Dip is wonderful and comes with Brixx sticks bread. It could be a meal unto itself. Have multiple TVs around to fit multiple sport options to watch. Their bar is very popular and has regulars. It can be crowded on the nights you would expect, but it moves quickly, and you can choose to sit on their covered patio, complete with fans. Highly recommend!!!“

“We LOVE Texas Road House but stopped going because it is so noisy you can't hear yourself talk. Tried it today for lunch (got there when they first opened) and it was AMAZING! Mary was our waitress and if I could give her 50 stars I would. She was that good and in fact, she was the best waitress we have EVER had and made the whole experience perfect! The steaks were absolutely perfect as were the sides. I just wish they had a closed off area for people who hate the loud music.“
