This was our first time eating here and it did not disappoint. The food was really good, and we are food snobs ?. The filet was cooked perfectly, burger was juicy and full of flavor, the fries were by far the best fries I’ve ever had and I can’t even begin to describe the crème brûlée, just amazing!!!Our server Carson was just as great. He was kind, answered all our questions and never rushed us. Top notch.We will definitely be coming back to this place, I can’t believe we waited so long with it just being right around the corner!Keep it up guys and thank you for opening a great neighborhood family restaurant!!

Date night last night. Headed to this neighborhood place. Pleasantly surprised by the very high quality of everything we ordered: start with the Brussels Sprouts (I’ve had these all over the country and these are hands down THE BEST!); the Beet and Goat Cheese Salad is first rate and big enough to share; the Penne dish sauce is dreamy; and for a real treat go with the melt in your mouth Short Ribs. All reasonably priced ( hard to say this for great food these days). Try them if you haven’t been here in a while. Really terrific!

On March 6th my Father-In-Law and I entered The Cardinal for dinner around 5:40. The atmosphere was welcoming and we were greeted by the bartender upon entering. We were promptly taken to our reserved table and could easily read the board with the evening specials.Our waitress, Madison greeted us and explained the specials in detail, which made our mouths water. She also mentioned that it is half price burger night (every Wednesday). We ordered two glasses of Sauv Blanc and asked for an appetizer.For the appetizer we had Garlic Butter Shrimp which came with crostinis. It was absolutely delicious and perfectly light for an beginning dish.I ordered the special which was Scallops and my FIL ordered the Salmon dish. We split them and were so impressed by both dishes that we did not want to be done but our plates were cleared.We mentioned to Madison that it was his birthday and she let us know that his dessert was on the house. So he chose the Creme Brulee and as you can see in the picture it was perfection. The dish was cleaned!I noticed that it is a family friendly environment and many tables were enjoying pizza, that looked delicious, so I will be returning with our families to enjoy a family meal. Don't let the prices of some entree's keep you away. It was worth every penny!!

Felt rushed throughout our 30 minute dinner. Seemed as if the waitresss was trying to push us out. We barely had enough time to look over the menu without being asked every 2 minutes if we were ready to order, ready for dessert or ready for the check. We normally have a good experience here, maybe just an off day for the staff

Just came back from our Wednesday burger special at the Cardinal. We used to get it when it was the Cut And Pour and quality is still outstanding. Enjoyed our food. Enjoyed our wine and cocktails. Enjoy the dessert. We love this place. We are in the neighborhood and we come all the time. It’s nice to have a place that it isn’t just your typical bar food that Wilmington seems to offer up a lot. The price point makes good sense you’re getting quality food and nothing was unreasonable. We are looking forward to them adding some additional specials from time to time. just maybe something that’s not on the menu that they can do for a week or so at a time.

Really disappointed in the establishment. I had reserved a table for our 18 th wedding anniversary and only received a happy anniversary from the hostess. The menu was very limited and expensive for them portions. The worst was the up charge on the drinks I ordered a cocktail neat and was charged $3 for it being neat. The service was very good and unfortunately the server had a reduced tip due to the drink gouge. It is shame as it is really for locales and we live so close. We won’t be going back.

This is the epitome of a neighborhood bar. It is a nice, comfortable place to sit and unwind. They have a variety of food to choose from both casual and more sophisticated. The same with drinks, wine and beer. I would suggest checking it out.

My friends and I went for dinner. We started out with drinks and sat at are table. Ordered appetizers waited about 15 min. The waitress comes up and says all we have are short ribs. Sorry. We are out of most of the menu. Why would a restaurant be out of food on a Saturday night! Pretty sad we decided to stay. The food we ordered was crap. Pretty bad when the wedge salad was the only thing that was good. The salad wasn't even a wedge! Crap place 300 bucks wasted.
