Date night last night. Headed to this neighborhood place. Pleasantly surprised by the very high quality of everything we ordered: start with the Brussels Sprouts (I’ve had these all over the country and these are hands down THE BEST!); the Beet and Goat Cheese Salad is first rate and big enough to share; the Penne dish sauce is dreamy; and for a real treat go with the melt in your mouth Short Ribs. On March 6th my Father-In-Law and I entered The Cardinal for dinner around 5:40. The atmosphere was welcoming and we were greeted by the bartender upon entering. We were promptly taken to our reserved table and could easily read the board with the evening specials.Our waitress, Madison greeted us and explained the specials in detail, which made our mouths water.
