Came in with my step daughter and ordered two sandwiches. 30 minutes later we got one of them and were told they *lost* the ticket for the other. When she got her Italian there was no oil, vinegar, or anything other than meat and cheese... just a bone dry sandwich. Terrible service, sub-par food and a run down atmosphere with a staff that CLEARLY couldn't care less. Give this place a miss because you can do better almost anywhere.Less than an hour after we ate, my step daughter vomited. So yeah, we are never coming back.

I got a sandwich which took 30 minutes and got sick off of it 20 minutes later.

In town for a hockey tournament next door and searched on sandwiches in Fremont. Lucky for us, we were right next door. Grabbed their Italian sub and Club, asked for both heated. Great atmosphere and friendly service during their lunch buffet which looked delicious. Their subs did not disappoint and 100% hit the spot! Definitely would eat here again to try the other options. Big fan!

Just ordered a turkey piled. Hardly any turkey. I've ordered sandwiches here before never had this problem. Very disappointed.!

Yesterday a kid came to the door & sold us a fundraising card that gives discounts to various cafes & restaurants. He said it was for his soccer team. Today we decided to go to Fremont Lakes & get a Nebraska passport stamp at The Tow Line. We got a digital stamp because it wasn't open. Then we went to Hero Deli to use the discount card. The space is shared with Gambino Pizza, which was also on our discount card but we decided to go for the deli. Service was a bit slow with only 2 people working during lunch, but our sandwiches were very good. Bookguy ordered the spicy Italian sub with pepperoni, capacollo, salami, & pepper jack cheese. It was a huge sandwich with lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo, and oil & vinegar. The meat part was kind of tough, but it tasted good. I had roast beef & cheddar with the same fixin's and it was great! We shared a large drink, a bag of kettle chips & a couple of chocolate chip cookies. I appreciated that the cookies were small & tasted homemade. It took quite a while to get our order but that was due to the lunch & takeaway bunch all handled by 2 employees. We don't get to Fremont very often but if generously portioned deli sandwiches are your jam, you can't go wrong with Hero Deli.

This place has gone down hill so much. I grew up in Fremont loving this place and we still drive there from omaha almost ever other month to get this great sandwich. Well today was the complete opposite. Obviously they are not cutting their own meats anymore, used store bought kraft singe type cheese, messed up our order. My wife had the italian and they were out of capocollo, they were out of pepperjack, so she asked for extra pepperoni, she got 1 layer of pepperoni whic

They have a really nice selection of food on their menu. However, they aren't super quick with getting the food out. The prices aren't too bad for what you get either.

Very difficult to place simple order, sandwiches were made incorrectly, bread was sitting out and was hard as a rock. Will not return. Page will not allow me to post my rating of stars.
