Best restaurant in town. The bread and butter - this is what dreams are made of. Get the olive plate too, or the cheese. If you are concerned that this is an "expensive" place to go, try the open faced sandwich, it comes with a salad, it is about the same price as a meal of fast food. Note: this is not fast food. La Buvette is a true Old Market staple. It is charming, peaceful, has wonderful food, great wine and amazing service. It is my go to place when downtown Omaha. I can honestly say that I love everything I have ever tried on their menu… which is a lot!

I like it here for their food and outdoor tables (huge plus: dog-friendly). We come here regularly for outdoor dining - it feels almost like you are in Europe. However, their service is terrible, and the food comes out painfully slow. You have to wait good 15 minutes before getting water and 45-50 minutes to have food served. And waiters and waitresses often forget what you requested. Seems like they are understaffed as well.
