This place confuses me because given their nice ambiance, I expect great food, only to be disappointed. Their food is incredibly underwhelming let alone too salty. We've been going only for oysters for happy hour/outdoor tables.

My wife and I went here for a valentines date. We had some fries as an appetizer as well as the bread plate. For main course she had the beef bourguignon and I had beef Wellington. The service was fantastic and the food was good. For the price I just didn't feel like the meals matched our expectations. The bourguignon and the beef Wellington were good but not any better than our homemade bourguignon and beef wellington. Seems like the fanciness of the restaurant doesn't align with the presentation and quality of the dishes. Still a 4 star experience just nothing that stood out to make me want to come back when Omaha has some much better options in the same price range.

Been here a couple of times trying to give place a chance and been disappointed every time. Service is great and the ambience is decent which is why I give 3 stars. The food? Forgettable at best. I have had the rotisserie chicken at one time and it was undercooked in certain parts and chewy/overburnt in others. Basically inedible. The cassoulet was ok. Onion soup? Would say its decent. The schnitzel was bad, it felt like it eating breaded cardboard. The best highlight of all the times I've been? The bread service. They had an amazing carrot butter. Honestly cannot recommend it. Being in Omaha, there's way better places that offer more palatable experiences.

I hosted a pre-wedding dinner at Le Bouillon in their "Mirror Room," and it was spectacular! Katie (event planner) was such a great help in making sure no detail was overlooked. Cocktails and hors d'oeuvres were served in the wine shop. The service was wonderful. The guests loved it, and so did I! Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful meal. The ambience is perfect for a quiet dinner. My daughter tried the ice spice cocktail and I had the Beaujolais. Both were perfect. We tried the halibut and the beef bourgeon. The food is amazing and the service was great. Highly recommend.

My husband surprised me with a visit to Le Bouillon for my birthday, and it was pretty dang nice, if a little bit stuffy/quiet for the type of food/vibe I usually gravitate toward. The ambiance is arty with a large mosaic sculpture being the focal point of the space. It definitely feels upscale and airy, so it did fit for the romantic atmosphere my husband was wanting. Don't get me wrong on the food; everything was expertly cooked and plated beautifully. It just wasn't so much my style, but I did come to it with an open mind and enjoyed a lot of the items. We started with the Tartine and Lox. It came as a large cracker, with a creamy spread as the base and flowery little strips of lox with pickled veggies. It looked gorgeous and tasted very flavorful with the components all working together perfectly. For my entree, I chose the Hanger Steak with Root Vegetables and added a crab cake on top. I absolutely loved the steak and the crab cake, which were both seasoned to perfection and sitting in a heavenly tarragon cream sauce. But the root vegetables I could have done without. I usually like earthy flavored things, but these were a little too heavy on that, in addition to being the largest component of the dish. My husband got the Duck Breast, which came with a bed of carrots, beans, and duck fat. It was so tasty and each piece worked together on the plate so well. I definitely recommend this over the dish I got. We got two desserts, and both were decadently divine: -Olive Oil Cake: This was on special when we were there and our waitress said it was definitely not as sweet as other desserts, but if you like more "muted" sweetness, like cornbread, you might like it. She was absolutely correct - it was almost exactly like corn bread, but without a corn flavor. More just a buttery bread flavor, but topped with a delicious blueberry compote and homemade whipped cream. -Chocolate Tart: Our second dessert was definitely more desserty - a big hunk of chocolate mousse with cherries and cherry drizzle on top. You can't go wrong with anything chocolate and cherry, and this was the perfect example of that. Not too much sweetness in the chocolate mousse, so the extra sweet cherry components could really sing. Overall, I think Le Bouillon has a lot of great things to choose from, but you definitely have to be in the right mood to dine there!

I always have high expectations for French food and this just missed the mark. The crab bisque arrived lukewarm and had to be sent back, the garlic shrimp were over cooked, and the beef bourguignon was unremarkable. The service was pleasant and the atmosphere was lovely, but we will not be back.

Gorgeous place, the food was good, I didn't like the salad and the fact that they ran out of potatoes and offered French fries instead ??‍♀️

We enjoyed the Valentine's fixed menu offering on "Valentine's Eve". All four courses were wonderful and prepared to perfection. We were particularly impressed with the tenderness, flavor, and preparation of the featured steaks. Service was flawless. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and unpretentious with quirky art installations, a historic building, and an impressive wine shop. Given the increased cost of a night of fine dining, one should choose a destination carefully. Our Bouillon dining experience was outstanding and worth the premium one now must pay for a perfect steak.

If you are looking for a unique experience, with a great ambiance, this is your place. I had the Bread Service, French Onion Soup and the Halibut. It was one of the best pieces of fish I've ever had (perfectly seasoned). The service level was absolutely fantastic and everything on the menu was approachable, but adventurous. The wine list is also excellent, given Howard Street Wine Merchant is attached to restaurant.

Our intimate wedding ceremony and romantic dinner for two went BEAUTIFULLY. We were very well attended to by everyone there and the atmosphere was so romantic I can not rave enough about the food and drinks! We will always cherish this special place in Omaha!

My wife and I got married here. We rented out their wine room and had a small ceremony in it. The entire affair turned out magnificently. Aaron was the manager the night of and made sure everything went as planned. MacKenzie was our server and she did an amazing job, she was very friendly and extremely attentive. Lastly, I cannot rave on Paul enough as the chef. We had a 5 course meal arranged for after the wedding and he absolutely went over the top. I cannot recommend this place enough, not only for private events like ours, but just in general. The food, the service...everything was amazing. We will be going back without a doubt.

My husband and I had our wedding ceremony and reception at Le Bouillon and could not be happier with our choice! Katie, our event manager at Le Bouillon, was nothing short of amazing through the whole planning process and was incredibly supportive and accommodating to make our day as special as possible. As our favorite restaurant in Omaha, we were so excited to have our friends and family experience the intimate atmosphere and fine dining Le Bouillon offers. Our event size was around 100 people and all the staff went above and beyond to attend to our party. Words cannot express our love of the food and the quality of the service that Le Bouillon delivered to us and our guests. Our wedding evening will be one of our fondest memories thanks to Le Bouillon.Photographer: Victoria Petersen Photography
