I've been coming to Daniel's for most of my life and while I've never had a terrible meal here I've also never had a great one. We ordered two burgers to medium well, one was undercooked and the other was overcooked. The salmon sesame was bland and dry. That being said, the butternut soup was fantastic and our server was very friendly. Unfortunately everytime we come there are issues with the food, service or both so I think we're probably done coming to Daniel's.

When it comes to a scenic view, we had a great table for our party of 6. Located on the banks of a river in Henniker, the setting was beautiful. I can just imagine how spectacular it would be in the fall. Our waitperson was lovely as were every person we had contact with that works there. Special kudos to our waitperson who interacted sweetly and without hesitation to members of our party who are neurodiverse. The food was okay. Not terrible but acceptable.Parking: During a busier season I can see where parking may be a challenge.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: There is an elevator to go to the restaurant which is located on the bottom floor.

We had a solid experience at Daniel's. Based on other reviews, the food can be touch and go at times, but we enjoyed our meals. I loved the location and the river views. We were there in the middle of winter and there was a lot of snow on the ground adding to the views. The food was good, not great. Our server did an excellent job attending to us. It wasn't crowded at all, but she did a good job of giving us space but being available when we needed something. Even just coming for drinks would be worth it...just for the view.

Arrived at the restaurant and put our name in. The only other people there were 20 minutes past the time of their reservations. A couple left the bar area and we politely asked if we could sit in the bar area. We were told a very rude no (my son was irritated that I had been spoken to like that, but I told him the older gentleman was stressed). Shortly after this, a couple walked in and sat down in the bar. There is really no waiting area, and a group of 4 came in. They had reservations, so stood in front if us. Then a group of 6. Apparently they were too far into the restaurant, so the bartender/owner(?) walked over past the group and started yelling at everyone to back up. He was ridiculously rude. At that point, my son was done with anyone talking to customers like that, and so was I. We will never return to that restaurant again. There are plenty of local restaurants that we much prefer.

Nice spot by the river to eat, but you can't eat ambiance. Mediocre food that was overpriced; plus we decided to go in based on the menu that was in the window outside, and when we were seated, the menu prices were about 40% higher than we saw on the same menu outside. Friendly yet fairly inattentive service.

We had a terrific server - the service was great from the welcoming person to the wait person. But the food was mediocre. Our salads (with chicken added to one, salmon to another) were just ok, nothing special. Everything needs updating.....

Cool stone walls in the bathroom. Great service. The food was average for the price. It's very close to the college so I'll definitely dine there again.
Open until 9pm so walked in at 7:10 to sit down and order diner. After being seated we waiting for 25 minutes with not a single server coming over to even ask if we wanted water. If it takes 25+ minutes to take drinks orders can’t even imagine the wait taking food orders.
