“I just wanted to give a shout out to The Copper Pig Brewery in Lancaster, NH. As you may know, Lancaster, NH was in the "path of totality" for the solar eclipse on 4/8/24. We drove a couple of hours north to be able to view the eclipse. We are big fans of breweries and visit new ones whenever we travel. So we decided The Copper Pig would be a good place to visit on this day. We knew it would be crowded everywhere and were prepared for that. I messaged The Copper Pig on Facebook because I saw they were not usually open on Mondays, but wanted to know if they were making an exception for the eclipse. Someone got back to me quickly saying they would be open for dining and the patio would be open for eclipse viewing. When we arrived a little before opening, there was already a line waiting to get in. We were able to park in their parking lot, and waited for a table. They were very organized and quickly seated everyone in line. Our server was pleasant, helpful and did not act rushed or frazzled even with the large crowd. The food was amazing, and the beers were really good too! After lunch we moved to the patio and got in line for beer. They were organized there as well, with one person pouring and another taking payments. The line was long because there were just so many people there, but the staff remained pleasant and calm. When it got close to eclipse time, we tailgated in the parking lot so my son could set up his camera. The staff came out to watch the full eclipse, then quickly and efficiently cleaned up and closed up after the majority of the customers were gone. The entire day was a very pleasant experience and I am impressed by how well they were prepared for the large crowd and how everyone kept such positive attitudes. If I am ever in Lancaster, NH again, I will definitely come back!“
