I have been meaning to write up a review for quite some time, but keep getting distracted by the phenomenal coffee! The past few years have been great having a coffee shop with such atmosphere in Manchester. Cafe la Reine has helped me through all my major research papers, and has been a great spot for me and my friends to catch-up! Thanks for always providing the best customer service, and delicious coffee!
If you want a coffee shop with no wireless, a limited selection of coffee drinks, Yugoslavian atmosphere, and cigarette smoking allowed, this is the place for you. In fact, you're probably the guy at the next table, beating a heater and reading a paper. Nice guys, minimalist sports-bar atmosphere...this is someone's ideal hangout. Not mine, but for those who like this sort of thing, this is just the sort of thing they will like.

I spend more hours here than in classes or my dorm. That's not to say that I ditch or loathe my school or living situation but the ambience in the café is marvelous. There are chairs and tables enough for dozens of people to be inside but not too much that it feels like a pop-up Starbucks rigged in the middle of EDM. There's music but it's more background, nothing that infiltrates your thoughts or obliges you to remember parts of your life you'd rather not. Is a coffee here m
