It's like you are stepping back in time to when places like this were where the communities gathered. It's cozy (small) and busy (crowded), but so worth the wait if you have to. “I was driving home to Maryland from Long Island and stopped here to grab a bite. It's a small but quaint diner that serves breakfast and lunch items. I believe their sign said that they are now open until 3. The staff was super friendly. I struggled to pick what I wanted because there were so many really good choices. For breakfast, they had eggs prepared in a variety of ways. I did happen to glance at the salads, too. I think there were about 9. A few I would've enjoyed but I had breakfast on the brain so I ordered 2 scrambled eggs with home fries, Taylor ham (Yum!), and toast with a glass of chocolate milk. My boyfriend ordered a similar meal with bacon and a glass of tea. The oval plates were packed with food. We both enjoyed our meals which came to a little over $25. If I were local I'd definitely go back.“

“Where do I even begin? The food here is immaculate. I have tried almost every dish, and every single one was incredible. My favorite is the Chicken Avacado Panini. The service is incredible as well. The waitress is the most sweet lady and even remembers what people's usuals are. She is awesome. I always feel welcomed and the whole place is cozy. This is my go to place for when Im having a bad day or when I want to have a great time with my friends and family. Their quality control is also amazing, each time I come, I get a meal that was prepared amazingly. Well done Al's, I will keep coming back for more and more years.“

“I had to stop by to write this review! I ordered the honey garlic and the honey buffalo chicken wings for the Super Bowl and boy I wasn’t disappointed!!! It was finger licking good and I was so surprised that we had no left overs and our guest was inquiring about this place because it was so good. The wings were cooked to perfection, not hard or burnt under the sauce just a nice crisp that made everything so enjoyable. The owner was super sweet and the round tray that she put everything in was very professional. I’ll definitely be coming back to try some more food on her menu along with the wings. “Any time of day the tropical pancakes are amazing. Bananas, blueberries, coconut, strawberries and granola on tender pancakes dusted with powdered sugar. Yum! Of course the menu is extensive and I've never had a bad or mediocre meal there. “Ok I have to be honest, I was a little nervous going here because curb appeal it doesn't have. Parking is limited also. I ordered the mushroom burger medium well with fries. Waiter was on point quickly refilling the soda. The burger was done perfect and the taste was great. Definitely would recommend this place for a meal. “I've been going to the Reo for years! What I want to say today is that I had recently tried the new IHOP in Woodbridge. It was overpriced and they don't even have regular black tea! So today , I said im going to the Reo and I got a delicious stack of French toast and coffee and the price and service blow away what we spent at IHOP. Renew my loyalty to the REO!“
“I did not know I would like this diner this much. Wait staff, bussers and cooks are 2nd to none. I had pancakes with fruit on top, delicious. Not everyone can make a good pancake. Daughter had an omlette cooked perfectly. Husband had corned beef hash with eggs on top. Not all places know it should be done this way. Delicious!“
“I think it's fair to say Woodrow Diner is among the top 5 on Staten Island. Omelets are good, pancakes are decent. Coffee is on par. Good service and have never had a long wait for a table. Not one of my favorite Staten Island parking lots.“
