Food was absolutely exceptional. I asked for a hot and spicy beef. I asked what it came with and they told me. I asked them to make it very spicy and they didn’t disappoint. I was visiting the neighborhood but if I lived nearby I would visit regularly. I’m salivating just thinking about it. Good portion, good price, great taste.

Lovely egg rolls. Everything else is pretty mid, noodles are decent. Despite asking for extra spice level, the spices were very low by my standards.

Even though they are extremely pricey in some on some usually cheap items ($4 for small wonton soup vs $2-2.50 in Jersey City/NYC lol), the food is pretty good here. Like I don't feel like throwing it all in the trash. Most of their items are $1-2 more than the other spots in Jersey City as I've collected menus to compare. I've been in this area my entire life and we all know it's Chinatown, or Kellogg, or bust, but I live near city line and this place had been recommended a lot by neighbors. I'm happy to say that I have only disliked the wonton soup and I've given it a few tries. The mains I've had were good, moo goo gai pan is yum, like Wo-Hop in Chinatown yum, and their fried rice doesn't have that weird sweet taste. I usually stick to low sugar type sauces but have had sweet n sour and spare rib tip there as well. They have lunch specials 7 days a week which is nice for weekends when we are doing chores. Just take the soda or egg roll over the soup.

This is the only place I would order Chinese food from in Bayonne. Their meals are very well made and full of flavor, unlike most other Chinese take out dumps these days. It is not that oily inedible crap that so many places make now. By today's standards, their food is really well made. Roast pork used in various dishes is actually still delicious classic roast pork and not that "pigs feet" crap that so many places use now. Their steamed veggie dumplings are unique and delicious. Super fast delivery too! Give 'em a try, they are the best around here.

This place has the best Chinese take out in Bayonne! These days most of the Chinese "open kitchen" take out places have completely gone to hell serving food that is so low quality that it is basically inedible. Golden City is the complete opposite of that. The food here is like rolling back the clock to the 1980s-1990s when most of these places still served delicious, well made reliable food. The roast pork with broccoli is really well made using real roast pork and not that tough leather meat and the chicken lo mein is just about perfect and delicious made with exceptionally seasoned sauce! The fried (steamed version also available if you ask) Szechuan wontons in garlic sauce are truly flavorful with a nice amount of spice /heat. You can easily taste the quality difference here with just about everything you would order. I do wish they served brown rice though. Delivery has been fast and friendly also. This is basically the only place to order Chinese food in Bayonne.
