Food was good and our server Paisley was lovely The atmosphere was just ok, booth was tight, silverware was so cheap we all said it hurt our hands. They need more quality in details.

The location is probably the best thing about this place. The private party room is nice ..could use newer carpeting. The food was average, the service for the party was not well executed. Timing for parties is a lot with a three hour window.

Someone…or some people might feel good about this place but all it takes is a bad time the food is ok or par but they don’t know what a hanger steak is ?!? It’s on thee menu as the best….cut across the grain …then right way…service is horrible…..no roll up …no napkins…got charged for stuff we didn’t have…who in the world is responsible for this as a GM…I’d be ashamed ….and I worked at one time in this atmosphere

So today I am at MJ‘s restaurant, bar and Grill in Bayville, New Jersey for lunch with a friend. This building is located right on the bay, on a clear day. It would’ve been much prettier, but heavy ground fog was hanging around everywhere.I had never been here before and told the sushi was the best in that area so me and my friend Bob decided to go there for lunch. He had been there many times and highly recommended it. The only issue was that the sushi part doesn’t open until 4 PM and it was just noon when we got there.So it ended up being a really nice hamburger for me, and chicken wings for Bob, which looked absolutely great, and he says they are very good there.The service is stuck out the young man who is the server was on the spot didn’t bother us. We were there for three hours, talking and catching up. It had been nearly 20 years since we had seen each other and it was amazing how we took off just as we did Back then. The atmosphere was light for a lunch crowd, so nobody was chasing us out the door for a spot, so our server came around when he thought we needed something he was perfect absolutely perfect and that would be the highlight of this meal. Cause good service is not, easy to find.Here’s a couple videos just looking around the place and a few food shots.I’m coming back for the sushi and I think the rating is going to go way up. And I can say that was the only thing that I could complain about, but if we had searched it, we would’ve known 4 o’clock with sushi hour. That was on me.Yes, I’m coming back here, not sure when but I think pretty soon I’ll add anything to this review but it was nice I can see how when that place is packed it’s pretty big and the noise level of my climb drastically but I still don’t think you’d have any problem hearing each other across the booth.Give it a try, I recommended, and that’s only by having a burger but man and wings look good. Please like if you enjoy the review. Thanks.

Had a going away party for a friend. It was karaoke night and had a great time dancing and singing. Fun atmosphere.

We went off season December. It still had a live band and was busy. A sign of a good place. Some in our party had various foods and all were satisfied. The drinks were good and service was attentive.Will be back for the summer to enjoy the water views.

Mediocre food with mediocre service. Not horrible, but not great either. Tons of TVs and the view is spectacular right on the water. Food comes out fast once you can get your order in, but then getting refills on your drinks are slow. Bartenders are friendly and great people (the guys have always been the best,) but not very attentive. Food honestly is dry and not worth the price. Also prepare for an extra percentage for using your credit card, which will always encourage me to find elsewhere to dine.
