The perfect summer place to have a relaxed lunch od dinner. Satisfying welcoming with host, great service with professional servers and the most important fresh and delicioouss food. Bistro never gets me disappointed. Every day big choise of fresh oysters, daily specials of the chef which you can never finish because the food is so good and the portions are big. I’ve tried everything from the menu and my favorite from lunch menu was oyster po-boy which is really ooo boy , so delicious. And from dinner i can’t chose everything is perfect. I was here multiple times and will always come back.

This review is mostly reflective of the food. The service was fine, the atmosphere is what you’d expect of the area. But the food was mediocre at best. The bisque was much to thick (borderline gelatinous) and all I tasted was cream. The tuna and sweet pea risotto were both light (I mean that positively) but lacked any real punch on the flavors.

I don't make much money and this isn't an inexpensive restaurant. That said, I never have regretted a single penny spent at this place. Whether it was of my dinner or a friend's that they shared with me, I've never had a bite of anything here that I didn't enjoy. Excellent food, wonderful wait staff, and the atmosphere is always amazing.

Our waiter was miserable. We got lobster soup and hanger steaks. Everything was cold. I think it was left out for too long. We ordered medium well steaks and they came out completely raw. We never received bread until we ask, and they said “it is baking in the oven” and once we got it the bread was ice cold! How is that possible? Brutal all around. Price wasn’t even close to worth it. View was nice though.

We were a group of five that ate dinner here on Saturday. Everything was outstanding. We had the opportunity to sit on the deck (amazing views), our food was very tasty and our server, Liv, was excellent. We were even greeted by the chef at our table during our dinner to make sure we were happy with our food and dining experience. Thank you for a great dinning experience!

We had dinner for 6 adults to celebrate my wife's 70th birthday and we all had an excellent dinning experience at this shore restaurant. At first we were seated at a table for 8 which made conversations very difficult especially in the crowded lively main dinning room. The manager graciously moved us to a table they put together in another section near the bar that was perfect. And our excellent waiter Jake came with us. I was concerned about ordering the crab cakes and so the manager without my asking brought a small crab cake sample for me to try. It was very good and I ordered the crab cakes dinner. We ordered raw clams and oysters which were very good as were the fried artichoke hearts. Two of us ordered the seafood linguine and it was cooked perfectly and well worth the $45. We also had the scallop risotto and lobster club. All of our meals were excellent and the service was too. We had lunch at the Bistro 14 a few years ago and with our great dinner experience there we'll definitely be going back.

Great food preparation and menu choices. Highly recommend the Artichoke Hearts and the Scallop Risotto. Service by Alex was excellent - very attentive and focused. Overall, a great experience! ??

Had a wonderful low key birthday celebration out on the deck looking at the bay. Inside or outside dining. Food and service were wonderful. Appropriate for a family or romantic dinner for adults. Generous portions and comfortable atmosphere.

Our multi-generational group had a great meal here. The seafood options were especially delicious, and we had a great view of the bay, even with eating inside. A great option for kids, parents, and grandparents.

WHY VOLATILITY in the reviews? We were coming to eat in this space because of a dinner we had here 35 years ago, so regardless of the reviews, we were coming. But the reviews caught our attention. What do they mean? The comments are routinely answered by the establishment, so someone obviously cares, a good sign. Yes, the space is shore-rustic with a fabulous balcony overlooking the bay, but also little details from the silverware and place settings demonstrate that "someone" cares. Even though mid-July is high season on LBI, we made reservations on a Tuesday night at 7 PM to enjoy the sunset, and to avoid the "Early Bird" crowd, and largely succeeded, so the service was unrushed and polished: timing the firing of the main course; not collecting empty plates between courses by waiting until all were finished eating. We ordered 3 each of 4 different oysters, and they arrived properly separated by lemon slices, along with the printout which the waitress used to identify each variety. Now, THAT is attention to detail. (And thanks to BYOB, I could have my obligatory bottle of Muscadet with the oysters, just like in Paris!) FINALLY, A BIG HINT: a menu item that says, "Duck Confit, House Made!" HUH? You mean, someone is actually in there....cooking? Instead of being loaded off a Sysco food truck and re-heated, someone is making a Confit of Duck? (Because, do you know how many restaurants on LBI serve an item called "Cowboy Steak," right off the truck and warmed up by someone who is not a CIA trained cook....um, chef? And still charge big bucks for Island Food?) The quality continued with the flounder, its fresh breadcrumbs delicately sauteed. OF COURSE, any shore restaurant on a Saturday night that is crowded (manned by a post-pandemic short-staff with professional students and housewives who do the best they can in dealing with an often-intractable public) may struggle to control the hysteria. You won't always get it right, especially at the Jersey shore. But this modern, American "Bistro" is doing a lot of things right. Timing is everything in life.

Never got served. 8 of us sat down and got ignored. Other people also. No one came over for 15 minutes. Just got up and left. At least they said have a nice day on the way out.
