“Where do I even start? From top to bottom, start to finish, this place is an absolute gem and a banger! It’s been around forever, I grew up going here and recently came back to the area and knew I had to stop in the see what was new….Ali, one of the owners, has some of the most outstanding customer service skills and his smile and charisma light up when you walk in. Nothing else like it. This guy is straight up awesome!!Omar, the other owner and Ali’s brother is in the back cooking up some of the best food in the area.I got garlic knots, pizza, fries, tenders and mozzarella sticks. The garlic knots are hands down the BEST garlic knots I’ve had in my entire life. No joke. Legit. And my standards are high / picky for garlic knots. They’re fluffy, pillow-like, chewy and PACKED with garlic. Tons of garlic and the texture is PERFECTION. If you like dry overcooked no flavor garlic knots that skimp on garlic, go elsewhere. The pizza is in my Top 2 and I’m very particular about my pizza….fresh, perfectly cooked, ratios of ingredients ideal and not too thin (I hate cracker-like crust pizza. If I wanted that, I’d get a flatbread) it had the perfect texture, chew and nice amount of cheese. Has a very very awesome unique flavor that’s hard to describe that I’ve never tasted before all the way through to the dough and the cheese is FRESH. These guys know what they’re doingOh and by the way, the tenders are hand breaded and house made to perfection. Nice and juicy, melt in your mouth fall apart just picking them up.The mozzarella sticks are also house made and you can tell they are fresh. These guys are charitable too, involved in the community and with donations.Literally everything about this place is amazing from the people to the food. I can’t get over how amazing those garlic knots are. I’m mad because now I have to go back regularly lol.Genovas is the definition of QUALITY!“

“Roast Pork Sandwiches are unrivaled in the city!!!! Absolutely Delicious!!! BUT you better know what you want when you get to the service counter, because they have ZERO patience if you don't know the Business, AND if you don't understand The South Philly kitsch of Impatience and colloquial disdain for their customers, unless they know you personally.“

“Went to Home Depot to get some paint but was distracted by the smell coming from this place and had to stop in. Ended up getting the sweet sausage on a long roll, with fried onions, hot peppers and brown mustard. Delicious food, on point roll, friendly atmosphere and good prices. What more could you want?“

“Peter & Sons in Glassboro serves up some amazing sandwiches locally. We ordered a nice variety of things because you will want to order everything if you check out their Instagram. The sandwiches had so many layers of flavor and texture. Every bite you take is a crazy experience of pleasure. From the rolls to the sauce to the way the chicken was prepared was phenomenal. The eggrolls were out of this world they are dangerously good. The owner came out to our table and asked how everything was and gave a little background of the business. What a nice guy that you can tell takes pride in his business & craft. I would highly recommend this establishment support your local businesses. 10/10 in my book!“

“Delicious! Only had their cheesesteak here, which was very unique. Their non-seeded hoagie roll was also fresh and tasty. The cherry pepper mayo used may get a little overwhelming as there's a lot going into this steak. I ordered online on a late Monday afternoon and took about 10 minutes for two to be made. Will gladly come back.Parking: Street parking on both sides. 2 and 3 hour paid parking available depending on time. Free after posted times.“

“This is my new favorite place. I really haven't tried anything besides the cheesesteaks and wings, but they are so good that I haven't browsed their other items. This is actually the best cheesesteak I've had in this area, and one of the best including in Philly. The wings are really good too. I honestly don't even like wings, but they are cooked well and they are crispy and meaty. They have this house sauce that is different than traditional wing sauce, but works so well. This place is solid, and if you go in, they have seats from veterans stadium and the staff is super cool. Everything about this place is great!“

“Had Chick's cater my son's first birthday, and couldn't have been more happy with the experience. Joe sat down with me, helped me determine how many portions we would need for the number of people in attendance, and we went through the menu and made the appropriate selections. (For 40 adults and ~15 kids, we ended up getting two cold sandwich trays and ~15 Hot Sandwiches cut down into portions). At the party, the sandwiches were the star of the show. I had a warming oven to keep the hot sandwiches warm, and even after a few hours, the bread did not lose its integrity. We had some leftovers, but not too many, and there was no shortage of folks eager to take some home. 5+ Stars to the Chick's crew for making this process seamless.“

Chicken cutlet italian had perfectly cooked tender broccoli rabe and punchy sharp provolone. The cheesesteak hoagie glistened and looked amazing! We will keep returning to satisfy all our cheesesteak and cutlet sandwich cravings.“

Also the cheesesteak on a seeded roll is really one of the best in Philly and the cutlet hoagies are so good. Plus homemade soups.Kid-friendliness: Lots of families here, has options that almost all kids will be open to!“

“*Tourists* hometowner's like myself know "Pat's" and "Geno's* cheese steaks are TRASH!!!!!!! GOOEY LOOIES has the best Cheeese Steaks in Philly, hands down!!!!! The meat is high quality, juciey, real steak that's flavorful and packed on those soft and resh steak rolls....and plenty of American cheese is melted into it....GOOEY LOOIES is just like the name says: GOOEY! And that's a good thing. I didn't even have Mayo on mine because with the steak juice and the ketch up it was perfectly GOOEY. I will never buy a cheese steak or Italian hoagie from anywhere else because of how deliciously tasty theirs is!!!!! I didn't even have to request "PEPPERED HAM" for my Italian Hoagie which if not offered on it is a hanious mistake and says something about the establishment that you are visiting. The corner store hommieness was so appropriated ill be back often I predict. Got my mom a seafood salad hoagie, she loved it....my dad, I brought him a corned beef one and he's jumping for joy!“

“Best food in the area hands down ! Eat here roughly 3 times a week. Chris and his staff make your experience absolutely amazing. Cost is a little higher then other area shops, but the quality of ingredients used and the finished products blow away any other sammich shop for miles. Never had anything i didnt enjoy. The one time i had an issue ( ordered bacon cheeseburger and didnt get bacon) they compd my next sandwich even tho i had eaten and fully enjoyed what was wrong. Highly recommend giving arts a try !“

The food was fabulous and the couple that owns it is kind, funny and so cute! The wife suggested I try her homemade honey hot sauce on my wings. Absolutely delicious! I’d dip a shoe in that sauce! “Sal’s has been my GoTo for solid pizza and sandwiches for as long as I can remember. I’m 35 and remember the days where my buddies and I would pile in for Monday All you can eat specials! I even remember sals before the fire years ago! While I normally order a plain pie or maybe pepperoni now and then, for some reason tonight I ordered the Philly Special with the request of chicken instead of beef. This pie was beyond my expectations. I enjoyed it so much. I can’t wait to eat the leftovers tomorrow for lunch! Thank you so much to everyone at Sals for my pie tonight. Thank you for the years of serving the community great quality food at affordable prices.“

“Beat the stadium food. Stadium Grill by Oogie's is the best hole in the wall for people planning to see a game. Why pay $20 for a mediocre burger when you can pay half that for some delicious, greasy perfection. I came in to Stadium Grill before a recent hockey game with some friends for brunch. Sporting sandwiches, pizzas, BREAKFAST pizzas, and more, we split a sausage Boli platter. Bolis are Stadium Grill's specialty; an edible cup made from pizza dough, filled with egg, cheese, and meat, topped with Everything Bagel seasoning and served with a side of ketchup or spicy ketchup (the spicy ketchup is simply hot sauce mixed in with their ketchup). While I'd prefer to eat Boli's with marinara, the Boli's themselves are amazing. One platter comes with enough Boli's to feed 4 hungry dudes and each Boli is densely packed with protein. The seasoning adds much needed salt and packs so much flavor. It's a must get for groups. Stadium might not be fancy, but it's a fast, affordable, and delicious way to prep before watching a game.“

“As a proud North Philadelphian that now resides in Cherry Hill and a true cheese steak snob.....I am definitely going back. My only issue was my steak wasn't cut in half. And I think if the ketchup and mustard was on top of the meat and not on the roll the roll wouldn't have been a little wet.11/10/23 edit update: Listen here Di'Nic's I don't know what the F-Word y'all did to these sweet peppers...but I need the recipe. Those jawns were so good, I wanted to eat a bowl of them. The hot peppers were way too hot for me so I gave them to my fire breathing daughter lol. But those sweet peppers are top tier. I just wanted to let y'all know.“

“One of my favorite pizza places in the city. Not ridiculously priced like most other establishments in the area and they haven’t changed their process in years. I can say that (randomly) 1/10 pizzas are just not good. I think they rush sometimes. It’s a price I’m willing to pay for good, consistent service and really good cheesesteaks and wings. This place has nothing to do with the Lorenzo’s on South Street for anybody that’s confused. This is the OG Lorenzo’s.“

“I just moved to the area and tried Dan Lucas. I thought the pizza was DELICIOUS. I'm not really a pizza person but we order it every Friday for my daughter. Now, I'm a single mom and I couldn't forego the tradition so I got her the pizza and I ordered a mushroom cheesesteak. My only complaint is, I did not want fried onions on my cheesesteak, I can handle them but I didn't want them. I got them. I love both raw and fried onions, just not on my cheesesteak. I need to say the cheesesteak was one of the best ones I've had in your this city, fried onions or not. I don't do reviews, but I can't wait to go home and have the other half for lunch. So glad I found this spot. I hope your JALAPENO poppers are good. I'm ordering next time. :)Thank you! Oh and the fries were delish as well!“

“At the heart of Reading Market you have DiNic's, home of the renowned Roast Pork! To hell with the overrated Philly Cheese Steak, this is the best sandwich in Philadelphia.... and it's not even close. The atmosphere is from that of a upscale restaurants; it is essentially bar seating. But honestly, who cares? One bite of this sandwich, with that wonderful Italian toasted bread with broccoli Rabe, the au jus from the slow-cooked pork, the pork, topped with sharp provolone cheese and pepperoncini peppers and you have a symphony in your mouth.“
