“What an amazing, new favorite neighborhood cafe! A curious visit that turned into an 'addiction' :) Food is super fresh and very tasty, and by now my family have tried many menu items.Try their Veggie Heaven ( I have never seen my mom wolf down a full sandwich like this one, time and again), their avocado toast, the chopped salad, and the Waldorf salad (with or without the chicken!) -- just great!We've tried vanilla lattes, chai teas, peach iced teas, among others, and all got super high marks as well!Service is as good as it gets, pleasant and kind. We always feel so welcome, even when packed.On top, the place is like a melting pot of people from different backgrounds, walks of life, different languages -- the perfect atmosphere for all!“

“787 in the village is a rarity in that it is 1) usually not jam packed (during week days) and 2) fully laptop friendly. I have two gripes though. One is that they recently got rid of their drip coffee, which was fantastic. Caught off guard, I ordered a whiskey-infused dulce latte that was $11 for 12 oz. That being said, it was fantastic.My second gripe is that they have very minimal food options. The only "hot" option is an empanada, which are often sold out. They are tiny and like $7. Tasty though.“

We were welcomed by very polite and courteous gentleman and even though we didn’t have a reservation (we didn’t know we needed one) they were able to accommodate us with no hesitation. Giovanni offered us nice drinks and tea along with a delicious shisha. She was very helpful when we had questions about flavors and was very attentive during the time we were there. Will definitely come back. First morning home, I've made French toast with the babka, and I never want to make it any other way with any other bread. I am vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian ;) and I chose from the vegan section and when I tell you the pumpkin glaze donut and the vegan plain donut warmed up for less than 50 seconds in a microwave were the best thing my hour glass figure didn’t need, I am not lying. They have both a regular shaped donut and a kind of Flower shape that breaks into individual balled pieces of donut, so THAT worked well sitting on top of a soft serve ice cream cup and them injecting whichever flavor of soft serve you choose through the center and into the cup - Great combo that's very easily broken off into pieces to have bites with the soft serve which today was either Milk Cream or Thai Tea today along with the flavor varities of donuts - Glazed Donut – Classic, Coffee Toffee, Poppy Grapefruit, Toasted Coconut Bear Donut (Regular) – Chocolate, Cheddar, Lavender, Sugar Cream Puff Donut – Dirty Choco, Double Milk Tea, Matcha Custard, Strawberry I didn't see the limited edition peanut butter and jelly but I can tell you I was definitely satisfied!“

“My two nieces and I popped in this morning on our way to the Natural History Museum. I’ll admit I was hesitant but thankfully I listened to my nieces! I had the avocado and eggs in a crepe, which was the best gluten-free sandwich I have ever had. Did not miss the bread at all. My 14 year old chose the Nutella crepe with banana and the 9 ounce Açaí bowl. Oldest selected one of the big bowls … it was a work of art. Highly recommend and we will be back on our next trip. The customer service is as impeccable and the owner could not do enough - he even kindly gave a little school kid a free cookie before heading to class. Burrito are a staple for my lunch/dinner... so fresh and comforting. AND I'm not really a fan of most Mexican food but this is on a whole other level. I just finished a salad of shrimp, avocado, mango, cherry tomato, with paper thin fennel shredded on top. The shrimp are cooked to perfection, not rubbery at all but ever so slightly firm and succulent. “This is a tiny little totally unassuming deli located off the beaten path on W 107th & Manhattan Ave that for some reason makes unanticipatedly excellent croissants.I grew up in Paris where you can find an excellent croissant for 0.90€ on every street corner. So when they try to sell me croissant for $5/ $6/ $7 here in New York, well, I tell them that’s an absurd price and I turn around and I walk out.Hakan sells these excellently executed croissants for $2.50/ each. Everything was as it properly should be: not dry or bread-like as is often the case here in the US; nice and properly buttery as it’s supposed to be; flaky on outside and doughy on inside as it’s supposed to be. He then suggested I have a seat and could eat in if I wanted. I chose to dine in and the food was fabulous. I got the bacon egg and cheese biscuit. They did not have the cheddar jalapeño biscuit I asked for but they added extra cheese to my sandwich to compensate. The biscuit was crunchy in the outside and soft on the inside. I'll definitely be coming back to try the chicken biscuit and all the different compound butters.“
