“Great food, amazingly great quality food and atmosphere. Everything was tasty from the rice the rice and beans to the perfectly tender steak. But automatically charging 20% gratitude is a little off putting. charging $5 for chips and salsa, for a handful of chips and “salsa” that was mainly badly cut onions was excessive. But overall not a bad experience.“
“Tried the TikTok viral restaurant. It used to be a Michelin one-star in 2021 and 2022. Although it has lost its Michelin star last year, I still think it’s my favorite Italian restaurant in NYC so far. Had a fantastic experience here! The salad turned out to be a game-changer. As someone who typically shies away from salads, Don Angie's version won me over with its unique flavors and freshness. Each bite was a testament to the restaurant's commitment to excellence.Don Angie lived up to its viral acclaim. My friend and I walked in at 9:15 pm, and we got seated in 20 minutes!! Strongly recommend this way of dining.“
“Every time I eat here I get some good old comfort food. Their cheese grits are amazing! The music they play will have you dancing in your seat. The bench seats are comfortable but the tall chairs aren't. My last visit I got an expired diet coke and was told people complained earlier about the diet cokes so they removed them when I complained. That being said, I recommend visiting and I'll be visiting again. Try the honey chicken, biscuit and cheese grits.“
“Experience Lucciola – NYC's finest Italian dining! Immerse yourself in the exceptional 9-course tasting menu, enhanced by expertly chosen wines. Chef Michele crafts each dish with unmatched skill, presenting masterpieces of Italian cuisine. For unparalleled value and a remarkable culinary adventure, Lucciola is your destination.“
“We were a brunch party of 12 at 12. Friendly warm staff greeted us as soon as we arrived. Every staff member was attentive. I mean everyone in passing acknowledged us with a friendly smile and asked if our needs were being met.The food was delicious ! Every one of our dishes from waffles, pancakes, steak, fried rice , everything that came from the kitchen to our table was great.Thank you QueensBoro we really had a great experience.“
“Decided on this place for a business lunch a few weeks ago and I must say, I was pleasantly surprised by the ambiance and food. The lunch portions were more than reasonable as was the pricing. For a dinner lunch, it is definitely a bit less formal due to the seating arrangements, but for a casual client lunch, this spot was pretty great. I'd definitely go here with my team or on my own as it was worth the visit.“
“Nice restaurant. I had to wait 10 minutes for a seat at the bar to become available. The dishes are classic Italian. Formally nothing complicated, but everything was done very well. And this is difficult)))Carpaccio with artichoke fire. Cacho pepe is also very good. The interior is great.I like it“
“Celebrated a birthday last week and sat outside in the private booths and was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food and service!! The booths had heating and allowed our party of 6 to have a private but joyful experience!! Would highly recommend!“
“Came to L'incontro for a casual lunch on a Saturday around 2p. Did not have a reservation and was immediately seated. I gotta say, the service was excellent! Many waiters were serving us and they were constantly checking if we needed something. They were refilling out waters all the time and it was just very polite. What was interesting is the "daily special menu", the waiter was standing their reading about the daily special for like at least 5 mins and we had to stop him from continuing. Either way, we got the bucatini cacio e pepe and it was very yummy. My husband got the veal and it was not the most photogenic dish, but tasted much better than it looked. We also got the octopus, which was soaked in balsamic, also very nice. Overall a very nice traditional Italian place.“
“I had a late Saturday brunch here -- first time visiting this establishment. Was bit hungry so ordered both my usual avocado toast but also a salad.I was very satisfied with the avocado toast. Probably my top 2 in Manhattan so far -- the toast was a little more on the crunchy side, which I like, and the avocado was nicely seasoned. Unique. Just the right combination of salty and herby and creamy, etc.For that I give 5 stars. The baby wedge salad was good, 4 stars on its own.“
“Delicious food and great atmosphere! After a long day of running around it was so nice to sit down and have a great meal where everyone around you is having a fun time! We started out with the Scallion Pancake and Vegetable Dumplings. I don't eat Scallion Pancakes very often because most places don't make it very well. Joe's Pancake was perfection! Cooked just right with layers of flavors. The Dumplings were light and fresh. For our main course we had Chicken with Broccoli and Sauteed Crystal Shrimp. Both were delicious and very generous portions. It was the first time I had had the Crystal Shrimp and I couldn't stop eating them. The Staff was very nice and we felt very well attended to but not overly so. We are really looking forward to returning so we can try some dishes that we have never had before.“
“Their turmeric bun is insanely good. Was lucky enough to catch it right as it was fresh out of the oven and waiting to be glazed. Almost doubled back for another one it was so good (self restraint won).Delicate, flaky, caramelized crust. Fluffy, light, moist pull-apart center. I usually find glazed pastries too sweet, but this one was perfect - just sweet enough to hit the spot but not too sweet that it feels heavy. The balance of flavors is just right. Just a hint of turmeric that isn't at all overpowering.“
“Generally I give the total five star to this restaurant considering its flavor, service and environment. The steamed pot chicken soup is super good I will definitely choose this every time, on top of that I like sugar cake and highly recommend it. Besides, tomato beef soup, Dai style stir fried beef are also nice to try.“
“Best experience!! We had a private event at American Brass in January for about 20 people. Everything was perfect! The restaurant is gorgeous, and the food was delicious! We loved the style and atmosphere of the restaurant. Our menu included a champagne toast, appetizers, their amazing focaccia bread, steak frites, the polenta, passed desserts, and a cake. They were also able to accommodate a vegetarian option. It was all so good!! Everyone really loved their food, as well as drinks at the bar afterwards! The staff are all incredibly friendly and accommodating. Tegwyth, American Brass’s Events Manager, was so thoughtful and instrumental to planning our event! She worked closely with us for months leading up to the party and had great suggestions. Ellen, American Brass’s Executive Pastry Chef, made us the most beautiful and delicious cake. Everyone was raving about the cake! Juan, our server, was also phenomenal and went above and beyond. The restaurant is directly across from the Gantry Park Piers, great for photos. Everything was beautiful and polished. It felt fancy and well put together. Highly recommend American Brass and their team for small weddings and events! Thank you again!“
“Visited bass on other tourist recommendations for a late breakfast. However it wasn't till I sat down that I was informed that the brunch offering was only available on the weekends.Having already been seated, it would have been rude to leave. I ordered the chicken salad dish which was delicious and well balanced. A tad over priced for what was served but in all an enjoyable meal.“
“Korean food at it’s best.Fried rice with steak was top, endives salad with Korean pears and nuts was just amazing. The chicken wings is a must if you happen to go!!Service amazing, fast and attentive at all times.Looking forward to go back and try the famous Pork Shank!!“
“The best gelato you could only dream of. This place will draw you back regularly with watermelon and mint, limoncello, smores, hazelnut, almond, etc. I can't decide which was my favorite, so I'll have to keep going back. Wish I lived here to enjoy everyday. Great ambience too while enjoying your tasty treats.“
“Went there for the bottomless brunch with some friends. While we had a blast, we misunderstood the bottomless brunch deal: on top of paying for an entree, you can get bottomless drinks for 90 minutes for 30 something dollars, which when you look at it you better be drinking A LOT for it to make financial sense, so be warned.“
“I don't live in NY, but when I'm there, I love to go to 787 because it makes me feel welcome. I usually have my coffee with nothing special, but my friend said that she had never had such a delicious cappuccino! Their cookies are the best as well, and Alejandra was very nice to us. Highly recommend!!“
“You have to make a reservation and come here. The food was wonderful. Flavors amazing. Atmosphere very nice. Service super. Enjoyed all of it w my family. Meat lasagna was sweeter than our taste buds. Desserts, tira misu, creme Brule, pistachio tart, Nutella tart..all yum.“
“My favorite takeout Indian in the area! I usually go Chicken 65 for an appetizer which has (in my opinion) the perfect spicy level between flavor and spicy. For meals, you can’t go wrong with the Chicken Tikka Masala (or Vindaloo) + Garlic “
“I ran into Steph at one of her pop-ups and fell in love with her macarons. Not only are they adorable, but they are DELICIOUS!! I reached out to her for a custom order for my bridal shower favors and they came out so perfect. Everyone was raving about them! Steph was very responsive via email and helped to create an order that fit within the budget I specified. I can't wait to order from her again!“
“Nice Matin is a bright and lively restaurant. The servers are friendly, helpful, and often check in with your table. Their food is very good and has some unique brunch options (grapefruit with granola topping, scrambled eggs with Marquez sausage, etc.) Yet they have the beloved choices of egg benedicts, sandwiches, and entrees such as salmon and steak even at brunch time. The prices are very good for Manhattan and every seat was filled during our Saturday brunch.“
“I cannot state enough just how delicious the food is here !!! Soooooooooo good !! Everything was full of soo much flavor and the steak had to have been one of the best cooked steaks I’ve ever had perfect temp and seasoning. It’s pretty inside and perfect to go for a date night the ambiance is nice. Definitely recommend this place“
“Great food in an atmosphere that’s refined, yet comfortable. Great staff and outstanding food. We are there twice during our NYC visit and were very pleased with everything. My fruit salad on Sunday morning was divine. Love the quiet street scene outside and the pretty children’s park nearby.“
“For a micro brewery, they sure do have varieties. For those of who are sick of the IPA revolution, we have options! But don't worry if you love IPAs, they have those too. Best dogs. Best trivia. Best rotation of food vendors. Favorite brewery in NYC“
“Stop by with a couple of friends on a Friday night, place is warm and welcoming. Started with a Negroni which was spot on, had hummus platter which was the best in NYC so far, falafel which was bigger in size than the known falafel but yet very tasty. My friend raved about the cauliflower, but the star was the smoked lamb shawarma. All in all, good experience with attentive and responsive service with excellent food. We would have stayed longer had the chairs been more comfortable. I’ll be back (German accent)“
“We stopped in before our NYU tour and were greeted & seated right away! The menu includes pasta, sandwiches, salads, and more! My daughter is a vegetarian and appreciated the vegetarian suggestions on the menu. The food came out quickly and was both fresh and delicious! We would come here again!“
“The best authentic Lebanese food in NYC. A must-try. All there food is fresh and delicious and very generous quantities. Their Shawarma is soooo good, you can eat it in bowl or a sandwich with lots of yummy toppings. I also tried their falafel and it was super good!“
“The Best Pizza in NYC! - If you want the best pizza in NYC you have to go to Pop's Pizza. I'm a native New Yorker of 50 years and Pop's Pizza is my favorite pizza in NYC. They make a perfect slice... thin crispy crust with fresh sauce, toppings and ingredients. If you like garlic, you have to try the Margarita but no matter what you order every slice is amazing and the owners are fantastic. ?“
“Incredible gelato spot in South Bronx. The staff was knowledgeable and passionate about their creations, readily offering recommendations and samples to help customers make their selections.Overall, my visit to this gelato shop was a truly memorable experience. The combination of exceptional flavors, top-notch quality, and friendly service made it stand out as a gem in the world of frozen treats. Whether you're a gelato aficionado or someone looking to indulge in a sweet escape, this shop is definitely worth a visit. Prepare to be whisked away on a delightful journey of flavors.“
“The venue is beautifully done. All the staff was attentive and pleasant. We had greek sausage, manouri wrapped in phyllo with honey& sesame seeds to start. The swordfish and mignon kebabs were perfect!!! And the yogurt with vissino(sour cherry) spoon sweets was the perfect way to end the meal. :-)“
“I'm so glad I stumbled upon this place. One of the best coffee concepts I've come across in a while. The coffee is incredible, and their setup is top-notch. It's now my go-to coffee place. Their Fredo Coffee tastes just like it does back in Greece.“
“Most food is great (sandwiches, salteñas, drinks, desserts) but certain things (like mac and soup) need SALT. The rice pudding is quite sweet but good if you eat warm. The portion size is laughable though.... like 3.5-4oz. Prices are about $1-2 higher than you expect for each item. Fried chicken sandwich is starting to taste like it's fried in old oil. And on the BLP website delivery is free BUT you are still hit with a $3.50 "service fee", which is the restaurant's for using a delivery service. But on Grubhub+ the same service fee applies AND prices food is higher! So even with free delivery it will be higher. I ended up paying over $40 for food for 1. Service is great, music is great, even if loud. I hope they create a better price point for the neighborhood they serve and make the sides as good as the main stuff!“
“The aesthetic of the shop is very cute and comfy. They make my favorite lattes but it’s also my favorite place to study. Baristas are all sweet and helpful, especially Macky he’s one of the best here at this location! There is also outside seating available for the nice weather days.“
“It’s a great themed cafe, good space and the records and a really nice touch. One of the best atmosphere creators for sure. The coffee was broadly average. I got a 7.8 cortado, it had some flavour and nothing offensive in the beans. Overall, nice place.“
“Delicious food, very friendly and lovely staff. Beautifully decorated shop If you come during the day, you can take photos in a warm corner. But if you come in the evening, the photography angle will look different and beautiful in another way.“
“On a bustling Saturday evening, we did an 8PM walk-in at Jora, opting to wait thirty minutes for a table over immediate seating at the bar. We commenced with three dishes: the Grilled Octopus, placed atop a Yukon mille-feuille; the Jalea, a crispy assortment of fish, shrimp, and squid, paired with yucca and salsa criolla; and the Lomo Saltado, sirloin stir-fried with onions, tomatoes, and French fries. The addition of corn to two of the dishes provided a textural intrigue, with glutinous kernels complementing the octopus and semi-popped kernels the Jalea. The Lomo Saltado was just shy of too salty, prompting us to sip water liberally. Our meal concluded with the Passion Fruit Cheesecake, whose creamy tang atop a graham cracker crust helped balanced out the savory dishes. The service we received was cordial, the pricing of each dish was fair, and the appetizers and entree arrived in unison — ideal for larger dining groups. In summary, Jora offers an engaging dining experience with a palette-pleasing array of options, suitable for those who enjoy sharing a meal.“
“Milk & Hops is definitely worth checking out, great selection of draft and craft beers along with some small bites. Two different sides of the bar: great atmosphere to watch sporting events on one end and the cocktail lounge on the other side.“
“Food was excellent. We ordered the cauliflower bites as an appetizer and it was so delicious with a little kick and enough for the 3 of us to have several pieces. The chicken and steak sandwiches with French fries was so yummy. This was a great after theatre restaurant. Quick service without being rushed. There is also entertainment there.“
“The portions were really big and the chicken sandwich was delicious. you can tell the chicken was fried fresh and the sauce was so tasty on the soft bun. the beef noodle soup was also super flavorful and the meat was tender. good quick, casual meal.“
“Wonderful place! The coffee was perfect and the empanadas were so tasty. A must stop for me for NY mornings.Special shout out for the guy who helped. He was very knowledgeable about their coffee and was helpful exploring the different drink options.“
“My two nieces and I popped in this morning on our way to the Natural History Museum. I’ll admit I was hesitant but thankfully I listened to my nieces! I had the avocado and eggs in a crepe, which was the best gluten-free sandwich I have ever had. Did not miss the bread at all. My 14 year old chose the Nutella crepe with banana and the 9 ounce Açaí bowl. Oldest selected one of the big bowls … it was a work of art. Highly recommend and we will be back on our next trip. All the best on your growth plans!“
“I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. This was our second time here and it has quickly become one of our goto places in Astoria. From the greeting at the door to the selection of great wine and cocktails- all unique because the are craft brews- to the staff answering our many questions about the very different and delicious menu to the quality of the food- an awesome experience. Last week we were there and enjoyed live jazz and the musicians mingled and talked with us. The decor is very comfortable. Looking forward to attending the special event nights, too. See you next week- if not before!!“
“The staff is super friendly and attentive. The place is quite large and very well distributed. The seats are comfortable, ensuring a good experience. The food is impressive, it left me speechless. The ribs were super tender and the flavor was very good. The macaroni and cheese that we ordered on the side was to die for. I just needed to eat the plate. The chicken wings, very good. But the spicy ones are not suitable for all audiences, since YES, they are very spicy. Your mouth burns. But the taste is very good.“
“One of the coolest dining experiences I've had in NYC. Walked in on a whim and had the place to myself for a while. Conversations with the staff were awesome. They take so much pride in their restaurant and also the local food scene in general. For the price you can't beat Fuku.“
“I have to say that I was so pleasantly surprised at how great the service was at this very popular wine bar. We went in on a Friday night before seeing a play across the street. The staff could not have been nicer, very helpful with our selections and very professional. The manager even remembered us after we stopped back in after the play. The wine selections are nicely curated and the food is delicious. Will definitely stop back again.“
“Overall rating: 4.3I’ve been wanting to go here ever since I heard they serve $5 chicken sandwiches! I went around 6:45 and sat at the bar. The decor is def a vibe and hardcore beach vibes holding true to the name. When I sat down, I realized there’s a happy hour on drinks until 7. I was so happy. But while the bartender saw me eventually, he didn’t actually take my order until 6:58pm ?? I was so anxious!! One bartender for a large location, plus for servers is insane. I sat against the window side, and he mostly hovered around the front of the bar and the back. Basically every side except mine. Thankfully he did honor the hh & what a steal! $13 instead of $18 pina colada. It was strong tooo. It was, so, good that even though I had terrible service I’m going to come back for that pina colada. I just won’t sit in the area I sat at.The Pink Wave chicken sandwich was alright. It’s weird that it comes in a to go bag vs a plate. It was equivalent to a McDonald’s burger. Don’t come with high expectations. It’s $5 for a reason.Another odd thing about the place is that the music was random. A lot of 90s hip hop, some bops and some random. I’m surprised they don’t keep to the theme and only play reggae. They also were screening Mamma Mia that no one was watching. The place has a lot of potential but there were definitely some big misses.Total was $22 all in with tip. Recommend for a quick happy hour. I’m sure the outside experience is totally different too.“
“This address was recommended to me by a food critic. Everything we selected was delicious: cheese & charcuterie board, pasta dishes (we tried the carbonara burrata, truffle gnocchi and short rib fettuccine). Don’t leave without trying the tiramisu. Not to forget the perfectly balanced margarita. Very friendly staff. Will definitely come back.“
“Finally…authentic, delicious Dominican food that I don’t have to go into NYC to order. My gathering was such a hit , catering was the best! The pictures won’t do this place justice. It’s the taste of a hole in the wall I missed so much. From their chicharron (fried pork rinds), to classic mangu (mashed plantains) with cheese, eggs + sausage. I’m drooling just looking through my food pictures from them. This review is long overdue. Trey it for yourself you won’t regret it!! Did I mention how friendly they all are? The service was great too!“
