“Great experience! Me and my brothers had the birria tacos and they were delicious. My dad had the molcajete and it had a good amount of sliced beef, chicken, and chorizo. It was also accompanied with shrimp, cheese, and a side of rice. The Maracuya (passion fruit) agua fresca was great as well it wasn’t too sweet and more on the somewhat sour side. The dessert was great too we had the churros with ice cream.”

“The Royal is a bit like walking back in time. Place hasn't changed much over the years. It was old 30+ years ago, except now there's friendlier feeling. Could have something to do with the girls. They're all very friendly and happy. I used to go there for lunch way back in the day (like 30+ way backs) when we worked on Saturdays. Back then you had to walk over to the dinner side to order what you wanted for lunch and they would bring it over to the bar side. Started going again a year or 2 ago for dinner on Saturdays with my bride.. They even know what drinks we're we want now when we walk in. Speaking of walking in. Don't be put off if all the seats are taken. There's plenty of tables in the back. All in all a great little no frills bar.”

“I love their garlic shrimp with scallops menu item. I always get it for take-out. I have eaten at least 20 of them. There is a problem with their packaging. They put the food into a white plastic container that ALWAYS leaks. The container is not water-proof. They put the white container into a brown bag and put that into a plastic bag. The sauce leaks from the white container through the brown bag and into the plastic bag. When I open the white container, I get sauce from the bottom of the container all over my kitchen counter and have a mess to clean up. I have seen other take-out containers and NONE of them ever leak. This business needs to get a liquid-proof or water-proof container to put the food in so the sauce does not leak out. Wake up please!!!!!!!!!!!

I ordered a take-out today July 31, 2024 and was surprised to see they have a new container that, when held upright, does not leak. One good step in the right direction. I wish they would go one more step and use a truly watertight container. Many restaurants use waterproof containers so an even better type of container does exist.”

The party was in the basement, very spacious, there was also a pool table downstairs and it made the vibe so much better.”
