“Food is amazing and very creative. Have had breakfast lunch and dinner. The only challenge is to decide what to order. Kudos to this talented chef and her son in their kitchen. This is a gastronomic treat from an entire team that does not present any versions of the obligatory standards found on most other menus. The wait staff has a great energy, which adds to the whole dining experience. I travel from PA to experience the food and if it were closer it would certainly be a go-to for me. The attached farm market with its delightful cheeses and treats, as well as unique and wonderfully fun culinary items-and even clothing-make the entire experience a heart-warming and fulfilling journey.“

“Gatwyns II is a very good neighborhood restaurant/ bar. The food (Portuguese Mussels and Pizza) are great but the beer choices are very poor. Lack of attention from the bar tender can be too frequent but the table service is strong. Definitely recommended, some areas could use improvement but generally happy with this place.“

“Hands down best omelettes in Sussex County. I'm a picky breakfast gal so for breakfast I almost exclusively have western omelettes and as such consider myself an expert - so go there and get one, you won't regret it. Their homefries are yummy too! I've heard great things about the pancakes and French toast so I'll definitely have to give that a try soon!“

“Food was hot. Tastes was a 8/10. Waiter never offered me selection of veggies, mashed potatoes are from flake but taste good. Butter would be nice. Ordered meatloaf. Meatloaf was good but you get one slice cut into 3 slim pieces. Like that food wasn’t salty. Coffee hot and good , remember when you got two slices of meatloaf. But maybe too costly ? Over all good.“

“I've heard the term "out of body experience" before but could never truly say I've had one until I sank my teeth into a cheboygah (cheese burger for the layman's) at Village Saloon. Paired with fresh cut fries (fresh cuts for the hip) this cheboygah will change everything you ever thought was possible in culinary art. Their chilli is a meaty dense dark texture that warms the coldest souls from the darkest corners of the earth. My wife ventured into the land of poultry there by ordering a fried chicken special. All she lent me was half a wing in fear that she would run out of chicken too fast. Our server, I never got her name as she was also bartending / changing the lives of men and women who were experiencing the saloon, was nothing short of a messenger of God. Bringing food and drinks promptly and kindly and ensuring we did not faint out of pure bliss during our dining experience. All humans must enter this establishment and order a cheboygah. This is the only way to have the best in the universe. It will ruin all other boygahs for you at every place you ever get one. The fact that it comes with fresh cuts fried to superior excellence elevates your situation beyond your wildest dreams. Life begins anew when you leave here. “Wow. The Black River Barn has outdone themselves again. What I remember growing up is an older pub feel with ok food, that has changed. It's now the most reasonably priced, delicious, kid and adult friendly food in a good part of Northern NJ. The atmosphere is palpable and full of life. Everyone loves their service, food, and drinks along with the prices. Can't say enough good about a restaurant I once wrote off as an older crowd. If you haven't visited in a while, give it another chance and they WILL impress you.“

“We love Taphouse! In fact we came here for Easter brunch and give it a 10/10. Came with 5 kids and the staff was so nice and accommodating. This is our go to for date night and take out.“

“I grew up with my parents taking my brother and l to this Friendly’s location, usually a celebration or simply a night off of cooking for my mom. Because of this, l always associated Friendly’s with happy times and have a deep affection for the chain. I understand the intervening years since the 1980’s have not been kind to the company, but they continue on and so do we. Tonight my wife and l had dinner here. The food was simple and tasty just as it’s always been. Our server, Lis, was a delightful young woman, pleasant and efficient and on point. And what trip to Friendly’s would be complete without some ice cream? That l can enjoy a meal and the same Reese’s Pieces sundae l remember 40 years later pleases me immensely. I do hope Friendly’s can pull off a turn around. It would be a shame for this piece of Americana to vanish. If you haven’t been to Friendly’s in a while, why not stop by and support this local establishment? I’m glad l did.“
