Waited for quite some time before someone came over and gave us water. Didn't say anything just dropped a very warm bottle of water on the table and left. Waiter came over after another eon passed. Didn't introduce himself, and had to ask him for ice. Food was meh. Burger was way overcooked but fries were awesome. Crabcake was not worth the money. Overall not impressed, not even content. The best part of it all was the acoustic guitar player and he's probably only there on Fridays. I won't be back but if for some reason I am, I'll stick to the beer.

We had a wonderful pre Father's Day lunch at Horseneck Tavern. Our waiter Darrin took great care of us from start to finish! Prior to ordering menu items we gave our varied drink orders, from Beers, wine to soft drinks each of us ordered differently....crab cake sandwich, burgers, macaroni and cheese for the kids and salads for the ladies. All served with generous port

We were a party of 8 and were quickly seated. The inside is nicely decorated and extremely clean. Our server Ashley was very pleasant and checked on us often. The food was delicious and plated very nicely. We had the pretzel app, the Parmesan wings and the goat cheese salad to start. All amazing. We had the hanger and sirloin steaks, the white pizza and chicken pot pie. All came out hot and did not disappoint with the amazing flavor. Definitely will be back!

I Just moved to Caldwell about a three months ago and have been trying different restaurants in the area. This place was hands down AMAZING! Excellent food. Excellent service. Excellent atmosphere. The booths were so comfy and super cute! Bright red and the cushion even wrapped around for comfort against the wall. (Should have taken a pic!) I ordered the cheese tortellini and it was so good! The sauce was creamy and tasted excellent. The cheese tortellini was cooked just right. I also had half of my boyfriend’s burger. It was also great. The French fries were hands down one of the best I’ve tasted from a restaurant in a while. Our server was attentive and refilled our drinks without even asking. Which THAT my friends is good service. Lastly we finished the night with a fudge brownie sundae. ONE OF THE BEST desserts I’ve had. Will 1000% be returning. My only complaint is it is a little pricy… $18 for a burger. $20 for tortellini. I think it’s because they hand make their pasta. That’s what it sounded like from their menu.Parking: Free Parking lot right in front of the restaurant.

Imagine trying to enjoy a meal with your family when there is a very loud drunk idiot with the most annoying laugh being obnoxious. Come to find out it is the manager's son. So because it is the manager's son I guess that made it OK for him to be so loud with this annoying loud laugh that completely ruined our meal. Food was salty, my husband's steak was over cooked - the food is just not what it used to be at this place. Needless to say we will not be back. Sad because the waitress was great - friendly and attentive.

I had a reservation for an early dinner on Mother's Day with my daughter. They sat us at a high top- fine. We wanted to order some appetizers as our dinner, to see if we'd want something more after they came out. The server told me we had to order everything all at once as the kitchen was extremely busy. I repeated that all we wanted were the appetizers. Mind you the restaurant was practically empty for the entire time we were there. But they were SO BUSY. Whatever. Oh and the mozzarella sticks came out presented as a large pile of cheese with some breading around it. Tasted good but weird way to send that out. I doubt I'll go back here, what with all of the other restaurants in the area.

Food was awful except for the salad and French toast. I ordered shrimp and lobster risotto. A plate of rice came with rock shrimp and something else but it was not lobster. The breakfast quesadillas looked like they were made 4 hours earlier. The eggs Benedict with crab...the eggs were close to being hard boiled.

I loved the inside! It was very cozy and the service was great. Only got some apps to share and they were quite good. I would definitely come back to try different dishes!

We love Horseback Tavern! The regular menu is great, but then again, so are their specials! There was a musician playing guitar and singing in the bar, it was nice because you could hear him in the dining room but it wasn't so loud that you couldn't carry on a conversation with your tablemates. Love the atmosphere and drinks, too. We highly recommend!
