“I’ve been to several Philadelphia cheesecake spots in the past few years that I have been coming. FYI I’m from the DC. And I have to say that from all the Philly cheesesteak spots that I have tried. This one is the BEST.. and DIRT dessert they have is Crack!“
“Had “The Paesano” from Paesano’s in Philly yesterday. This is in the Italian market area of South Philly which I love (aside from finding parking) and the people who worked here were all super friendly and helpful.I posted a picture with the ingredients for this one. This had a flavor that I’ve maybe never tasted before all wrapped in one. I enjoyed how it all played off each other (I could eat pepperoncini on anything and be happy too) and the roll was wonderful.Unfortunately I will say that the brisket was a bit tough, which surprised me. I believe it was cut on the wrong angle but there were multiple bites where I really had to tear at it. Had this brisket been as tender as it should have, I’d put this sandwich up against most sandwiches in the city…and I mean that. Put a properly trimmed and roasted brisket on this one and it’s up there with the best roast pork’s and cheesesteaks around imoDefinitely Didn’t Suck, but did leave room for improvement for sure.Check out video and more content on this spot and many others on my social media pages here - https://linktr.ee/Didnt_Suck“
“I just happened to be here for work reasons. I noticed the level of attention towards customers. Immediately greeting all who walk in the door. Very personable. Each interaction seemed like an old friend visiting. I was fortunate enough to try the cheese steak. Why this wasn't on a top 10 list for best cheese steak in South Jersey is beyond me but they surely have my vote. If anybody asks me where to get a good cheese steak you know my answer.“
“Hershel's East Side Deli is located near the center of the Reading Terminal Market, and was quite busy when I went, although it was Saturday around lunch time so that's to be expected. Great service across the board, was met with a smile by everyone I interacted with despite the crowds. Getting to the main attraction, the pastrami sandwich is out-of-this-world delicious. One of the best sandwiches I've ever had. I originally thought the price ($17) was a bit much, but it is well worth it for the experience and the portion size was so large I easily made two full meals out of it.“
“Great Italian Hoagie spot in the heart of the neighborhood. The Chicken Cutlet is the real deal. They have just enough crunch to it on a worthy Philly hoagie roll. The people here- including owner- are warm and responsive dishin’ out these beauties. Pricing quite reasonable.Thank you guys for breathing fire into an area that needed a for-real hoagie spot. Now easily on the rotation.“
“Bonkers.Pastries (Leak & Feta Croissant, Bananas Foster Bun) were a perfect balance of crazy crisp and chewy. Savory or sweet, they get it right.Fagioli was delicious and a perfect partner to the sandwiches. As a hybrid (veg/meat) couple, appreciated the make your own Egg Sandwich. Minor structural issues as one reviewer mentioned, but totally worth the engineering!Ordered via delivery and everything was thoughtfully packaged.“
“It didn’t taste the same as how they used to taste to me. It’s been a few years since I’d been there. It was missing something. I remember the hoagies being so so good. I don’t know. But it just wasn’t mouth watering like I remember. Service was great. They were nice and friendly. But I’m not giving up that easily. I’ll be back and try them again.“
“We loved the casual, unpretentious vibe and great music, with a diverse crowd enjoying dinner on a recent Wed. evening. Our server recommended several things based on what we told her and they were 100% on the money. It's great to find creatively prepared dishes that don't sacrifice taste. Get the brick chicken to share!“
“These guys put the joint in sandwich joint! Seriously love their sandwiches, especially creativity and effort they put into their creations. I’ve never had unique sandwiches like the sandwiches these folks make. Especially love their different specials they throw out there. The Uncle Tony v2.0 is a favorite cheesesteak of mine.“
“Roast Pork Sandwiches are unrivaled in the city!!!! Absolutely Delicious!!! BUT you better know what you want when you get to the service counter, because they have ZERO patience if you don't know the Business, AND if you don't understand The South Philly kitsch of Impatience and colloquial disdain for their customers, unless they know you personally.“
“Delicious! Only had their cheesesteak here, which was very unique. Their non-seeded hoagie roll was also fresh and tasty. The cherry pepper mayo used may get a little overwhelming as there's a lot going into this steak. I ordered online on a late Monday afternoon and took about 10 minutes for two to be made. Will gladly come back.Parking: Street parking on both sides. 2 and 3 hour paid parking available depending on time. Free after posted times.“
“A staple in the Reading Terminal market, so I had to give it a try. Roast Pork Sandwich with peppers - The sandwich came with some thickly wrapped butchers paper. Thinly cut roast pork was kinda dry by them self, but it got better as you make your way down the sandwich. Loads of sauce, soup? Was slowly making its way down the sandwich, thankfully for the abundance for paper there was not too much drippage. Would recommend opening it up and eating it on a table.“
“Loved stumbling into Knead on a Sunday. We didn't realize they closed at 1 but we're grateful they still took our order 5 mins before close. We were excited to try the Super food bagel and the tograshi and wow! The flavor combo of the tograshi with the long hot cream cheese is delicious enough to definitely become a frequent flyer here. My husband and I agreed that next time we need to come when they open because the texture of the bagel was a bit tougher. We can imagine just how yummy these would be fresh out of the oven.“
“First time here since the business name changed. Sandwiches are an excellent value and quality continues to be superb. I love the new sesame seed roll option. Chicken cutlet italian had perfectly cooked tender broccoli rabe and punchy sharp provolone. The cheesesteak hoagie glistened and looked amazing! We will keep returning to satisfy all our cheesesteak and cutlet sandwich cravings.“
“This is my second time ordering delivery from Jacks and the second time I am beyond happy. Both times my food was so hot it had to cool down for me to eat it.I would confidently say this is the best cheesesteak in the area.I’ve also had the chicken parm sandwich and fries both also above the average standard of almost any other place around here.“
“Best cheesesteak ever. Come from Boston 1-2x a year and me and my team always visit this place. Superb from the meat to the bun and cheese. Fries are good too. I can’t eat any other cheesesteak anywhere.Bonus outdoor seating on a nice day - clean too.“
“Good GOD!! Was walking home and needed a quick lunch to bring back with me. Such an unsuspecting place - but probably the best sandwich I’ve ever had lol. Got the avocado caprese sandwich on ciabatta, added turkey & got a bag of chips. Paid $10ish plus tip! Speechless at how perfect this sandwich is I had to take a video haha. Will absolutely be back here, found a new regular spot!!Vegetarian options: So much variety!!!“
“Seriously the best hoagies in Philly at this location. Owner seems like a good guy, the staffs very Philly (I mean that in a good way), sandwiches are always very filling at a fair price. Been coming to place for years and years now, always making things better and still great“
“This place is great, but every time I order the Napa, and ask for it cold, they grill it every time. Which is weird because they throw a question mark after grilled. Why isn’t cold the default? :/ please stop making my Sammie hot. Place still rules pull up.“
“Best little hole in the wall mom and pop style deli. I’ve had their cheesesteaks, hoagies, and breakfast sandwiches, all fantastic. They also have a few grocery type items if you need something, I haven’t yet but nice to know it’s there just in case. Workers are all very nice and the food is always made to order. So glad this place exists!“
“So the guy at work kept telling me about this spot and i had to try it. I looked up a few vids on YouTube and fell in love with the first cheesesteak i saw. Will not lie i had my doubts cause it aint a pizza spot nor is it my bodega so was taking a chance but sure enough i found my self in love this cheese steak was so good im already rdy to go back for it again. Its suppose to be a #99 which is a big kahuna cheesesteak married to a chipotle and i took a few things out and added some stuff. Enjoy!“
“Stopped in today for the first time and we had the ‘Morocco your world’ sandwich and ‘Snoop a loop’ salad. Wow! They do a great job here. Friendly service. We’ll be back. Thanks for offering an excellent vegan option! It goes a long way.“
“The cooks were very nice, helped out with recommendations and were accommodating with our preferences for our food. As someone who doesn't often go to places like this, I highly recommend it and will be going again before I'm gone!Parking: It's by the front of a Home Depot, so unless it's a particularly busy day for them, you'll find parking easy.“
“I got the vegetarian sandwich and usually a caprese style sandwich gets soggy or has too much balsamic... not this sandwich. The bread was perfect and not soggy. It was definitely a lighter sandwich, but i would definitely get the is again.“
“To be honest, I was skeptical because the prices were so low.I ended up ordering only the Cheesesteak, which was a bit bare on the meat, but for $7, it wasn't bad at all, and the flavor of the Cheesesteak was actually pretty good.I think I would go back and try their other options.“
“We have lived within 5 minutes of Stockyard and finally tried it today! Wow, it was delicious. The whole pig sandwich was so flavorful . The pork had a great sweet savory flavor which played nicely with the more subtle vegetables. The only thing I would change was having it served on a more crusty bread but otherwise fantastic. The fried chicken sandwich was also busting with flavor; the sauce on it was delicious. The portions were more than generous and I had lunch and dinner as did my husband“
“Went here for the first time today and I had a great experience. IHop down the street was packed at the time so my boyfriend picked this spot after walking down the street from there. Soon as i came into the cafe I was immediately impressed with the interior decor and the place just feels so cozy. I got a spanish omelette sandwich and they gave me so many options that comes with it such as fries, bread, and cheese. Cashier lady was really patient and kind too as I asked for least amount of calories and she tried her best to help me figure out what I wanted to get. I got my order to dine in and it was more of a casual dining experience where they give you plates and baskets that you can leave in the bin once you’re done. Food was good really fast and nice service.“
“As a native Philadelphian, I have always been on the hunt for an authentic hoagie that truly captures the essence of my beloved city. I am thrilled to have discovered Fink's Hoagies, a hidden gem that has quickly become my go-to spot for a taste of home. From the moment you step into Fink's, you are greeted with the irresistible aroma of freshly baked bread. The attention to detail is evident in every aspect of their hoagies, from the perfectly toasted roll to the generous portions of high-quality meats and cheeses. Each bite is a symphony of flavors that transport me back to the streets of Philadelphia. One of my favorite hoagies at Fink's is their classic Italian. The combination of thinly sliced prosciutto, genoa salami, and capicola, layered with provolone cheese and topped with lettuce, tomato, and onions, is simply divine. The meats are expertly seasoned and the ingredients are always fresh, resulting in a hoagie that is bursting with flavor.Another standout option is the roast pork hoagie. The slow-roasted pork is tender and juicy, complemented perfectly by the sharpness of the provolone cheese and the tanginess of the broccoli rabe. This hoagie is a true testament to Fink's commitment to using only the finest ingredients. What sets Fink's apart from other hoagie shops is their dedication to authenticity. Every hoagie is made with love and care, just like they would be in the heart of Philadelphia. The staff at Fink's is friendly and knowledgeable, always willing to offer recommendations or answer any questions you may have.In addition to their exceptional hoagies, Fink's also offers a variety of sides and desserts that are not to be missed. The homemade potato salad is the perfect accompaniment to any hoagie, while their freshly baked cookies provide a sweet ending to a satisfying meal.Whether you're a Philly native longing for a taste of home or simply a hoagie enthusiast looking for the real deal, Fink's Hoagies is the place to go. Their commitment to quality and authenticity shines through in every bite, making it a must-visit destination for any hoagie lover.“
“This place was great. Employees were great and really nice and the ribs were incredible. The potato wedges and the Mac n cheese was great. I have never loved a restaurant so much when it was my first time ever having it. I love this place so much.Kid-friendliness: The employees were really nice so they would be really good with kids.“
“Everytime I come and get the FILET MIGNON SANDWICH on Italian breadIt melts in my mouth ... always perfect.... The owner and staff and friendly and inviting....the cashier she's the best and last but not least the grill masters....I travel any where to get Nick's food.....TRUE “
“I got the medium sized (10 inch roll) "Pepper Lovers Dream" - pepper turkey, pepper ham, hot pepper cheese, pepper shooters, long hots, lettuce, tomato, onion, light on the oil and vinegar. This hoagie is thiccck. Yeah, thick with 3 c's.I only ate half for lunch, and I have a big apetite (give me an hour or two and I'll probably go finish it ?). You want to talk about the BEST hoagie spots, to me, this is one of the spots that sets the bar. I don't mind the $12.99 tag on this when you get what you pay for. The roll holds up, the lunch meat is quality, the veg is crisp and delish. Someone tried telling me this place has fallen off and they serve lettuce sandwiches. Naw, this should be the standard if you're going to put the hoagie on a pedestal.“
“Every time I visit this store, I am always so pleased with my meal and the customer service that I’m given. Both employees, Nick and Zach go beyond their duties and always make sure my family and I are satisfied. The store is also always clean and they always have smiles when we arrive. I feel comfortable going there and they even remember my name and order. I will always be a customer of this location because of the amazing service. I highly recommend customers to visit this location!“
“The kitchen faucet was corroded and was chaffing a weird matierial. He replaced it with 24 hours! My battery was dead in the master bedroom. I am so highly impressed with the efficiency and response of this building.Unfortunately I have more heater issue.Very pleased. :)“
“Updated Post: As much as I enjoy this store (for breakfast), I'll never buy a hoagie or chips from here ever again. I brought a Seeded Roll Hoagie ($14) and what you see in the pic is all that was put on it, NOT WORTH IT! When I opened the chips, more disappointment lol. The chips would barely fill up a 25c bag from the papi store. We live and learn...Original Post: Tried several breakfast items and lunch... Its on point everytime. Never had anything disappointing. Prices are reasonable considering the amount & quality of the food.“
“Affordable food at a great price with consistent service. I am never disappointed when I order from here and it's always busy! The owners are very nice and always make me feel welcome. Rey it for yourself and I don't think you would be disappointed.“
“In Philadelphia and wanted some scrapple!! As they don’t really have it in Delaware. So stopped at a mom and pop store and it was a wonderful experience. The Kaiser roll was the softest I have ever and I mean ever had!!! Scrapple cooked well, egg was fluffy and seasoned ? cheese nicely melted!! I will definitely be back when I’m in Philadelphia!!“
“Made a pit stop at this Deptford Mall food court for a nice cheesesteak dinner. I was really in the mood for cheesesteak and this spot did not disappoint. The menu was pretty easy to understand and the service was fast and polite. The seating is ample and was not too noisy so my friends and I were able to sit down and talk very comfortably.“
“If you ain't looking for that proper italian hoagie, this is not for you. The delicate balance Cosmi's applies to their sandwich. Perfection.Got me the Tuna Salad Sammy on Seeded Roll with provolone - Lettuce, Tomato, Onions, Salt & Pepper.Does not miss. Guaranteed Success Like A Tyrese Maxey Deep 3.“
“As a proud North Philadelphian that now resides in Cherry Hill and a true cheese steak snob.....I am definitely going back. My only issue was my steak wasn't cut in half. And I think if the ketchup and mustard was on top of the meat and not on the roll the roll wouldn't have been a little wet.11/10/23 edit update: Listen here Di'Nic's I don't know what the F-Word y'all did to these sweet peppers...but I need the recipe. Those jawns were so good, I wanted to eat a bowl of them. The hot peppers were way too hot for me so I gave them to my fire breathing daughter lol. But those sweet peppers are top tier. I just wanted to let y'all know.“
“This is the first review I've ever written, on any platform! But I feel the insuppressible urge to say this:I bought the Honey Maple Turkey Sandwich.I took a bite.I knelt, I smiled, and then I cried.P.S. The kneeling down part is obviously an exaggeration, but everything else is true. This sandwich... man... it works great wonders. I've never thought I'd write a review for a freaking sandwich, but here I am. And I hope you will too.“
“Beat the stadium food. Stadium Grill by Oogie's is the best hole in the wall for people planning to see a game. Why pay $20 for a mediocre burger when you can pay half that for some delicious, greasy perfection. I came in to Stadium Grill before a recent hockey game with some friends for brunch. Sporting sandwiches, pizzas, BREAKFAST pizzas, and more, we split a sausage Boli platter. Bolis are Stadium Grill's specialty; an edible cup made from pizza dough, filled with egg, cheese, and meat, topped with Everything Bagel seasoning and served with a side of ketchup or spicy ketchup (the spicy ketchup is simply hot sauce mixed in with their ketchup). While I'd prefer to eat Boli's with marinara, the Boli's themselves are amazing. One platter comes with enough Boli's to feed 4 hungry dudes and each Boli is densely packed with protein. The seasoning adds much needed salt and packs so much flavor. It's a must get for groups. Stadium might not be fancy, but it's a fast, affordable, and delicious way to prep before watching a game.“
“The mofongo and the empanadas are delicious. I have been going there at least once a week and get the ripe plantain mofongo with chicharron mixed in. You can then add shrimp, fried pork, sausage, pork chops, fried chicken, fried cheese or steak. You get an large portion of the mofongo and a large portion of whatever you add as the side. The empanadas are warm and flaky. I also tried the fried sweet plantains but unfortunately they were not so sweet, but I think they didn't have ripe enough plantains at the time. I will give them a second chance with the fries sweet plantains. The service has been really nice and they are very friendly. For the amount of food you get, prices are acceptable.“
“I had a friends from out of town come. He wanted a Philly hoagie and he was beyond happy. He is quite the food critic and it was so delicious he ate the entire hoagie in one sitting. The size and weight of the thing is more than enough for two meals. I will be coming back.“
“My husband and I were in town for the day and stopped here to eat. He had the chicken cheesesteak with cheese wiz and I had a roast beef sub. We both liked our sandwiches. One thing that stood out was that some young kids came in without an adult at the time and the gentleman working the register helped them out and was very kind to them until the adult came in. It was nice to see someone watching out for kids.“
“The staff here are amazing and so welcoming! You really feel at home. Coffee tastes good too. Only reason why I'm not giving 5 starts is because when I got there wifi and plugs to charge phone were broken. Nothing was working so I had to cancel my subscription since I was looking for a place to stay studying all afternoon. When management fix that, the place will be perfect then!“
“Love this place so much the hoagies r great service is wonderful the place is perfectly clean and staff r always greatParking: The times I've always gone I always find parkingKid-friendliness: They have stuff kids like and they treat the kids great“
“The food is well seasoned and is simple but filling to eat. The service is a little strange as there are 4 workers but only 1 taking orders while the others stand around. But customer wise the service is friendly and fast. The ambiance is that you are outside so you can listen to the construction happening next door or to the outside noises. Overall, this is a good place.“
“I've been here a number of times, their sandwiches are amazing, the best in center city! I've tried numerous items on the menu and never been disappointed. My only critique is I wish they were open for longer hours and on weekends so I could fulfill my off-hour sandwich cravings!“
“At the heart of Reading Market you have DiNic's, home of the renowned Roast Pork! To hell with the overrated Philly Cheese Steak, this is the best sandwich in Philadelphia.... and it's not even close. The atmosphere is from that of a upscale restaurants; it is essentially bar seating. But honestly, who cares? One bite of this sandwich, with that wonderful Italian toasted bread with broccoli Rabe, the au jus from the slow-cooked pork, the pork, topped with sharp provolone cheese and pepperoncini peppers and you have a symphony in your mouth.“
“Recently, I had the pleasure of trying the tuna sandwich and chips from here at an event for the Camden Teacher Pipeline program. Their catered food was so good, I had to leave a review and I will definitely stop by for more! Thank you and go Profs!“
