Food was decent at a reasonable price pount. Kitchen seemed a bit unsanitary and the gentleman preparing the food used his bare hands. Wished the place was a bit cleaner but overall not too bad.

This place is a hidden gem, it’s my go to anytime I’m working in the area. The owner is an awesome down to earth guy with his sidekick Dylan. The chili cheese hot dogs were outstanding as usual. Highly recommended.

The hubby and I tried Tommy’s in Carteret this afternoon. Homemade chili, no beans. Nice, smooth bit of heat. It was good. I believe they are using a Sabrett hot dog. The onion rings were EXCELLENT! Everything was fresh and very tasty. This family has been selling hot dogs in the Carteret and Rahway area since the very early 1960’s. Jimmy who is the son of the original owner, Tommy was very friendly. He couldn’t have been happier to explain his menu offerings to us, and partake in some friendly conversation. Four hot dogs with two toppings on each, an order of onion rings, and a Diet Coke was $19. There are a couple of outdoor tables to sit at, or a no frills trailer to sit in. It’s not a fancy place, but we weren’t there for fancy. We were there for some good dawgs, and we got them. We will definitely be back for more, and to try the freshly made burgers and cheesesteaks.?

It was my first time visiting. I was picking up an order for my coworkers. So I had a chili cheese dog. It was very satisfying. The owner was very nice and welcoming. He told me about his fresh ingredients for burgers and other yummies. I definitely have Tommy's as a go-to since I work nearby. Please stop by and try it for yourself.
