“So I'm gonna give Estia a 4, an average of 2 different visits (one was a 5/5 but the other was a 3/5). My first time at Estia was years ago for restaurant week and their lamb chops were one of the most delicious things I've ever eaten in Philly. More recently, I visited a second time. The lamb chops were a tad too salty this time so I was disappointed by that. My favorite item from the recent visit was the cheese saganaki which had nice flavor. My party did not enjoy the spanakopita. It was pretty bland. My friend loves spanakopita so she was excited to order it but she was very underwhelmed. I wouldn't recommend ordering that appetizer. We got the spreads pikilla, which came w/ 3 different spreads and pita. The spreads were pretty good! I've had better but they weren't bad. The fried calamari was one of the better calamari's I've had and the dipping sauce was really good too. The grilled shrimp was scrumptious but overpriced for just 4 pieces. Unfortunately the pasta ala grecca was very dry. It seemed like it was reheated. My partner got the chicken which was tasty and came w/ a flavorful orzo. I probably won't go back to Estia for a little while b/c of how the most recent visit went, with so many inconsistencies. But I'd love to circle back at some point, especially since I was so impressed during the first visit. The service is pretty good!“
“Star was a great bartender! Great conversation and the food was even better! We stumbled on this place by accident on our way to somewhere else and we were pleasantly surprised. We WILL be back soon! Can’t wait to try more items on their menu!“
“A hidden gem on South Street! A great variety of Greek food made fresh. We tried the 2 for $46 dinner and everything was excellent! The beets with skordalia were amazing, and so were the salads. We tried the stuffed tomatoes and the Imam Baldi and we loved both. For dessert we had baklava and galaktobouriko and both were very good. (I apologize for the dessert pictures but we started eating before I decided to take a picture). Of course our drink of choice was Ouzo on the rocks with a splash of water. We’re definitely going back!“
“Wonderful lunch! Be Hungry! Generous portions, fresh and top quality! The "Chickpea" salad is perfect!!!! Definitely try the Dolmades! If you're ANYWHERE near them, a must visit. Thank you!Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair entrance next to the main door.“
“Without a doubt the best gyro I have had. Very unique spicing and sauce. I strongly suggest having it over a pita. My son had a chicken tender, which was freshly fried, and he enjoyed it very much. The counter service is friendly and helpful, and they went out of our way to make my son comfortable.Highly recommended!“
“Quite possibly the greatest and authentic Greek gyro I have ever tasted. The owners are very hardworking and respectful people. The workers give a great service and lovely attitude. A very great place to stop by when you are in the city looking for a place to fill your belly.“
“We were celebrating my daughter's birthday and they were very accommodating for seating preference, and bringing out the cake with lit candles! Our server was very friendly and efficient, the manager even came to table to make sure we were satisfied with our food, etc. Everything was delicious, and the restaurant is really beautiful. Highly recommend!“
“I love Angelo’s. Ann is the sweetest person you’ll ever meet, once she greets you, you’ll know that all the food is prepared with love. Some of my favs are the chicken Caesar wrap, turkey blt and the pizza is so good. The prices are so reasonable and the delivery is always fast.“
“The food is delicious! I love the chicken gyro and my husband raves about the lamb over rice. The fries were surprisingly crispy and tasty, too! (Usually fries don't travel very well, but they are good!) The prices are so affordable. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The indoor seating area is like a typical small pizzeria with booths. We were very excited to find this place! A+++“
“Great tasting gyros with generous portions. The meat is Halal as well. They have options to add Indian flavors to it as well. Very customizable. Ordering was very simple at the kiosk and food came out quick. I took off 1 star because it closes at 9pm which is early and a little pricey. I paid about $15 for a lamb gyro. I wish places like this were open later. Overall I liked the food, ease of ordering/service. I will return to try the bowl.“
