“This past October my partner and I worked with Paula at Cake Fiction for our wedding at Jack’s Barn in Oxford, NJ, and were so impressed! We initially set up a tasting at their kitchen/shop, which was so much fun. Paula and her husband were so lovely and their shop space is too cute! We booked them on the spot, and worked with them to design a two-tier wedding cake and a dozen cupcakes. So delicious! They were a hit at our wedding and we still receive compliments on the cake/cupcakes. We’d recommend Cake Fiction to anyone who’s looking for a tasty and unique cake/dessert for their event!“

There's a cute store in the back with a bunch of environmentally friendly options like fill your own soaps, oils, teas, and dry goods. They have coffee and treats. “Came here with my family for a goodbye dinner, and I have to say it was quite cozy and cute inside. They are a BYOB restaurant, so we brought our own wine and our waiter opened and poured it for us throughout the visit making sure our glasses were always full. I strongly suggest they type up the specials for people to read and to view prices. The waiter told us the specials from memory; so of course, all three of us had questions to ask and the waiter was getting angry that we couldn’t remember all of what he just said. After we order, we receive these absolutely delicious breadsticks and they were gracious enough to bring out seconds! I ordered the meatballs as an appetizer, I thought they were really tasty and juicy! I ordered the Chicken Milanese as my entree. I thought the chicken was a bit dry and super thin, it definitely looked like a large piece of chicken but was very deceiving. I was very excited for dessert because I was told by the lady that everything was homemade. I also work in the restaurant industry; I recognized 3 of the desserts right away being from a restaurant company. She then told me that the Tiramisu was a family recipe of theirs and let me say this, it is a must try for sure. Tiramisu is a favorite of mine and it did not disappoint! The lady also sold me on ordering her cappuccino because she makes them really good; it was good and extra foamy. Overall, it was a nice experience. However, I don’t think I will be coming back anytime soon due to the prices. If I knew 3 meatballs were going to be $19 I would have skipped it. Same for some of the other dishes, especially on the specials menu. I get they are going for a more upscale feel but having your waiter and waitress sit a table away from you eating and talking with other workers doesn’t really give off that vibe.“

The outdoor area looked really nice too, but it was too cold to use. Had a flight and like all 4 beers and then followed up with a few glasses which were also excellent. Enjoyed the live music too. “I can't say enough about the wonderful experience we had at Verona Restaurant for my dad's Ninetieth birthday party! The food was world-class and every single dish was raved upon by our guests. The service was also flawless and all staff were attentive and responsive to our every request. We have held many of these events over the years but since this event the phone has rang off the hook. Every guest praised every aspect of the event which is very significant considering how picky some of them can be. Nothing but praise has been forthcoming with the food being the showstopper. All of the many dishes were fresh, high quality and beautifully presented!!! The owner Sebastian and Tim the Maitre'd were an absolute pleasure to work with and understood the importance of even the smallest of details. This day was very special for us. The night before and the day of they were super flexible. They allowed us to set up the restaurant however we wanted at whatever time we wanted. Everyone loved the atmosphere and the food. Their chicken salad (the best around), hot dinner/lunch (Salmon, chicken, etc... all great), refrigerated prepared meals & awesome bakery goods are just a small sample. As they also have a butcher & a Seafood department.But after this morning I needed to praise the commitment to their customer's.I called at 7am to have them hold 1/2 dozen dinner rolls. Noooo... all gone? Deli needed them. Now what? There are no longer many Bakery stores in Morris County, but this is going to add an hour drive time ?I just got a call back, "how many do you need?" No way, I'm impressed....Now that's customer service. Thank you Burrini's for making me feel that no matter how small the order, I'm important.And FYI I never gave my name so it wasn't me, it was all them.Great job Burrini's!?“
