“We’ve eaten at Gulab in Cliffside Park several times, and the food is always excellent. The chicken tikka is flavorful and tender, the chicken biryani is perfectly seasoned, and the naan comes out nice and warm every time.

The atmosphere isn’t anything fancy, but the consistently great food more than makes up for it. Definitely one of the best spots in the area for a reliably delicious meal.”

“I am not really big on writing reviews (since the reader can never be sure if they are “real”), but I have to make an exception with the Blackbird Pub and restaurant, in Cliffside Park New Jersey.
The moment you walk in the door, you are greeted and made to feel welcome, as if you are an old friend, not a “walk-in”. That high level of attention continues throughout the visit. You literally never have to ask for a beverage re-fill, the staff cheerfully graciously stays one step ahead of you all the time.
Regarding the food, The Blackbird offers a nice variety of appetizers, sandwiches, and the like. While I have not tried everything on the menu, I can definitely say that the various hamburger options are all superb, as are the wings, with five varieties of sauces, (hot honey, garlic, barbecue, buffalo, garlic, parmesan, and sweet chili Thai).
Prices are reasonable; the crowd is always genial and mellow, and the owner and staff are warm, friendly, and frankly an interesting group of characters with entertaining stories to tell.
I highly recommend that you give The Blackbird Pub and Restaurant a try. You will be glad that you did.”

“This place gives off that run-down beat up pizza joint vibe, but it’s actually pretty solid. The pizza’s definitely way too greasy, but it's good. Prices for slices are overpriced but prices for pies are very fair. Being open late is a huge plus in this area. Far from the best pizza around, but it’s one of those spots you end up going back to anyway. sometimes the staff is in a great mood and helpful and sometimes they look cooked. You know what ur getting into when you walk in.”

“I need to say that Renee and Carrie are amazing! Very amazing service, being able to be answered in French at the boutique was amazing! I drove twice in 2 days to grab cupcakes and cookies… I cannot say what’s my favourite out of the cupcake, the brownies, the cookies etc because everything was decadent and not too sweet. You taste the quality of the ingredients and the love they put while cooking them. The fact that Carrie was answering me while the business is close is a sign that she’s passionate and that she care about her client. They’re on the expensive side compared to other bakery, but once you compare you understand why… You taste the butter in everything! If you like some fluffy, moist, creamy cupcake this is your place… While planning my wedding, I’ve compared a few bakery and non are as good as this one… Thank you for the amazing experience and taste!”

“It was great. Great go-to place for turkish food. Everything they have is delightful. And they have an awesome liqour called rakeh I may be spelling it wrong, but thats okay! Add ice to it, and it changes colors! Finally asked what filling they use on the cheese rolls!!! I LOVE THE CHEESE ROLLS WITH HONEY. LOVE LOVE LOVE. They would absolutely be my go-to place if parking was easier. The girl that worked with me.... I forgot her name...
Runs around like a cheeta, always moving but always attentive. She is so sweet and lovely!!!! My favorite desserts of today was the kanefeh and baklava. Always loved them both. They are home-made desserts. Absolutely Divine. Will be coming by again soon. If I am lucky with parking.”

It got my attent but wasn't until a few months that I didn't actually go in and Covid did play a factor but man am I glad I did!!! Amy"s warm, genuine and warm greeting was a pleasant surprise. Then immediately you notice the open air lofty feel but with ever thing you expect in a classics traditional American bar. The perfectly sized newly constructed bar as you walk in on the right. Two midsize new pool table, the wall mounted monitor that can be seen from all angles, a perfect located dart board. But wait there is more. Amy who talked to us briefly about the new owners vision gave us the 5 cent tour ending it with the back yard. An oasis of a outdoor gathering area with tables, chairs and heater for those cool spring and summer nights entirely cover but a gazebo. Folks, Brass Rail 2 means business, they are built for you to come enjoy a beer watch baseball game on any of the monitors, play a game of pool, shoot some darts or just come and socialize with your friends or neighbors. Congratulations on building a nice local American Bar look I'm forward to spending time there unwinding after a good days work.”

“Great Christmas decorations. Attentive service, generous portions, and great food. For lunch we ordered Shrimp tacos (4) and beef burrito which came with a side out rice and beans. All arrived hot and had a delicious Verde sauce. Only thing is change is have a bar with margaritas!!!”
