Last of the few remaining Roy Roger's fast food restaurants in New Jersey. Located on the NJ Turnpike, this location excels in preparing quality menu items...especially breakfast. They still serve the famous Sourdough Breakfast sandwich and potato wedges. I am always satisfied with their hot coffee and breakfast as my wake up tradition when traveling the NJ Turnpike! I had no idea this chain still existed - Roy Rogers - the eponymous fast food joint founded by the 1940's singing cowboy, who along with his faithful horse Trigger, spread justice and avenged evil in countless B-movie yarns. By contemporary standards these films were politically incorrect train wrecks full of Caucasians dressed as Native Americans spewing dialogue like "chief need wampum" and "paleface tells not truth." Went with my husband and son, brought back memories from when our little family began 27 years ago and we would take mini trips to find this delicious chicken. Same taste and smell, friendly and clean. Spending the weekend with my son and husband made it more special, we don’t get to see our son that much because he’s in the military. Love this place!
