Firstly, the restaurant is beautifully decorated, wherein you can feel the passion and love the owner has for their space. The food was beyond delicious. Highly recommend the babaganus, I could have ate buckets of it if given the opportunity. Everything tasted fresh and was so flavorful from the bread service to the dessert. And lastly, the service was impeccable. The restaurant was very busy, and the waitstaff made us feel like we were their main priority from the moment we walked in. I was seated at what I thought was the best table, right by the window on the side of the bar, and reviewed the simple yet interesting menu. It was hard to choose, but I ordered the salmon. I am reluctant to order salmon unless I am traveling to locations where it is fresh, however, I must say that this was the best salmon I've had in a long time. It was fresh, cooked perfectly, and had subtle flavors. I ordered the old-fashioned, and I'm a bit of a snob about my cocktails, however, this was quite good. Very nice atmosphere with excellent lighting, which is rare these days! The candle on the table was real as well, another rarity. I must also mention the music. A little loud, but fine. And quite interesting. They played electronica, and Depeche Mode and Erasure! What? In Inwood?? I'm a fan. We definitely return to explore the menu further.“

“Alright! Where do i begin?! There were 4 people behind the counter and when i walked in, all four greeted me. The manager greeted at the ordering station and didnt overwhelm me to order my food as this was the first time being there. He asked me if id like any suggestions and we landed on the chicken platter with spicy chickpeas rice and cole slaw. Everything about this bowl was immaculate. The chicken was well seasoned and spiced, the chick peas were tender and savory, and the rice was such a great compliment to the protein. I also ordered their fries because why not!The portion size was generous but not overbearing. They had the mexican coke glass bottles which was a great choice to wash the food down with. I got the brown to top it all off and it was amazing. Chipotle, Qdoba, Halal Guys even have nothing on Juicy Platters. I definitely will be coming back with the family!“

I had the chicken with sweet potato waffles, which I’m still working on. In fact the entire family needed boxes, just to give you an idea of the portions. I gave 4 stars for the service due to the restrooms being down a steep set of stairs and we had a few elderly folks with us. I will also offer that ownership should be more outward with which options are dairy free. A couple members of our party are dairy free and one ate very cautiously because they were worried about what items contained milk. They may have enjoyed themselves more otherwise. I’ll be honest. I woke up this morning and the first thing I thought about was eating my leftovers for breakfast. Now that’s how you leave an impression!
