The Saddle River Inn exceeded my high expectations. We had the east coast oyster special, foie gras, scallop crudo, a truffle agnolotti special, and steaks. Our server, Matt, was really helpful in helping us put together an order. He recommended the preparation I wanted from a different entree on the yummier cut of a wagyu skirt steak. I was dancing in my seat in delight ?
The experience we had on Saturday night was magical. The charming decor and beautiful view set the backdrop to what would become an unforgettable culinary experience. From the scallop and crab cake starters to the oysters and finally dover sole and wagyu ribeye with wild mushrooms, the chef took us on a journey of the senses that we will not soon forget. We went for an engagement party and were blown away. Food was delicious. Every bite.Service went above and beyond. I mentioned once I was gluten free and the waiter brought me a special gluten free side and my own dessert. I couldn’t believe it!Probably the best meal I’ve had in a long long time. If they can pull off a large event so well I can only imagine how fab their regular dinner service is!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free pros!
