I came here for an impromptu lunch so this place already gets points as it's somewhat removed from other potential eateries. It's the perfect driving down the street and your hungry and stumble upon this place on the corner. The menu is huge so there shouldn't be any worry about not having choices here. This is a staple of East Hanover. Different fresh specials everyday, literally something different everyday. The best rice balls are the best I've ever had. The Chicken cutlet/eggplant sandwiches are legendary and can be made a zillion different ways. Fits perfectly into East Hanover's Italian American heritage. I think of it as eating my moms food and that's saying a lot.
Angelo’s is what I call a real neighborhood deli that offers a little of everything and is actually in a local neighborhood away from the town business section. We recently stopped by to check out the Sloppy Joes and ending up ordering a Roast Beef Sloppy and eating it there. The rye bread was really fresh, the roast beef rare, and the coleslaw / Russian dressing made this a great tasting triple decker sandwich at a decent price.
