“I love this place, the food is so homemade and so delicious, it doesn't have excess seasonings or is heavy and it always has the perfect amount of salt?, the people who work at this place are so helpful and friendly that I could eat here every day, I love this place and it is super clean, I definitely recommend it!!“
“The place is pretty small, more of a takeout style since there are only 2 stools alongside the narrow counter. I ordered the traditional chimi chimi minus the mayonnaise since I just hate mayonnaise. The sandwich comes with the beef patty, pan de agua, green tomatoes, and white cabbage, and the sauce is a mix of mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard and hot sauce. I got the homemade tamarind juice to drink. The chimi was pretty good, I loved that they really kept it traditional with the green tomatoes and white cabbage. The sauce mixture was very good. The meat itself was a bit dry and lacked flavor so you definitely need the sauce to up the flavor. The tamarind juice was absolutely delicious and tasted, just like how they make it in DR. The fried cheese balls were just ok. We also ordered the beef empanadas, which were probably my favorite item along with the delicious green sauce. The service was great. I would definitely recommend if you're in the area and want to eat chimis.“
“Have not been here in years. Service was amazing. Our server Tim was the best. The owner was so friendly and attentive. Food was fresh, hot and tasty. Atmosphere was family friendly and great for all ages. Very reasonably priced. Bonus- upstairs if you want to host a party. We will definitely be going back. We highly recommend the Firehouse“
“The crab omelette was delicious. Next time I will take a picture, lol. Fresh squeezed OJ to go with it. Lovely. Julio our waiter was friendly and answered all of our questions. My group enjoyed their food too. At 9am we found a crowded restaurant with children. Highly recommend ❤️Parking: Parking on side of restaurant and in the front“
“(Translated by Google) Excellent food, good seasoning very much Colombian and the roast chicken is the best I've had here in the United States(Original)Excelente comida, buena sazón muy a la colombiana y el pollo asado es de lo mejor que he probado aquí en estados unidos“
“I attended a baby shower here on Sunday afternoon. The entire experience was great. O'Neill's, although a sports bar/ restaurant is a great venue for a private party. The staff was attentive and the food was de-lish. I will definitely go back to have dinner.“
“Googled a breakfast place and this place popped up. Street parking is free before 9:00 a.m. which was nice, atmosphere was classic Mom and Pop diner. Server was friendly and energetic, got our food in less than 5 minutes, everything was perfect. I had the iced tea unsweetened it was very good, my sister had coffee black said it was some of the best coffee she'd ever had. We both got omelets hash browns and a meat side everything was spot on prices were very reasonable probably going back again tomorrow morning before we head back home.“
“Been coming to Gee Whiz for over 10 years on my visits to New York - I choose to ignore all the tourist traps in Midtown and come down here. Always a friendly welcome from the staff, the portions are generous and very keenly priced (given it is Manhattan). Only had breakfast here on a couple of occasions, the Eggs Rancheros and the omelets are amazing! It was downsized considerably a few years ago (I believe the original owner opened another establishment known as Tribeca's Kitchen on the corner of nearby Chambers and Duane Street, and sadly he passed away during COVID.“
“Excellent Charity! Delicious food, beautiful presentation, always faithful to our flavor, Dominican flavor! “Excellent service, super delicious food, we were served in the best way by Sayda, always looking out for us, a beautiful experience, we felt at home ?? 100% recommended. Chaulafan, the empanadas de viento with morocho, dry goat, great seasoning.“
“Very good service, very tasty food, but I think that there you have to be careful with some dishes because the spiciness is very high, perhaps if it is possible to let them know that if you are someone who does not tolerate something very spicy, they should regulate it if possible.. .. it's happened to me several times but I always forget to tell you....!!!!!“
“I had very high hopes for this place but the food was very basic and diner like. Service was just OK and I don’t know why but I expected the coffee to be better here than water down diner coffee. surprisingly they had parking and the atmosphere was nice but I’m not sure if I would go backVegetarian options: Limited items but nothing special“
