“After an average lunch at the Food court of Menlo Park Mall we were looking for a nice coffee place that offered a sit down and good coffee. WE bypassed Starbucks and found this location adjacent. Very polite owner and great coffee sitting on comfortable chairs. Highly recommend as a nice independent location serving excellent coffees and other drinks.“

“I’ve been coming to Queen City Coffee Roasters since 2020. I’m always looking to support local coffee shops as Starbucks and Dunkin’s quality is severely lacking. After four years of continuous store visits and door dash orders, I am always greeted and recognized by their friendly and knowledgeable staff. Regardless of my drink, hot or iced, each team member can answer questions and slightly modify the drink if necessary for your palate. They always have fresh pastries and now even have delicious breakfast burritos. It’s nestled into a cute spot in Plainfield and the shop itself is always feature local artists and they have several events a month. My drink recommendation is the Spanish latte. Iced or hot, I guarantee you won’t have a better latte.“

“My top pick in a 5-10 mile geographic area for my daily Mocha Latte fix. Iced or hot, regular or decaf, it delivers 10/10 everytime. I usually order mine with them online for pickup so it’s ready when I arrive. The owners are super friendly and I look forward to my (almost daily) stop.“

We also truly appreciated the kindness and honesty of the owner.Our coffee and conversation led to us leaving behind a quite valuable item. “Boxwood is amazingly spacious, warmly lit, and with comfortable seating ranging in tables, high top tables and bar stools, and cozy choices at the windowfront. The drink menu is creative with seasonal specials as well a milieu of regular caffeine requests. I opted for an iced vanilla cinnamon latte. Eventhough the weather is getting chilly, it's impossible for me to transition to hot coffee just yet so no judgement, thank you! Espresso was quality and the tres leches donut was a dream. To balance, I split a turkey and cheese croissant with my partner. It was brought warm, cheesy melted, was especially comforting. Service was stealth and kind. They took the order thoughtfully and my items were ready in less than 5 minutes. All came deliciously prepared. There was decent seating while people were studying and chatting, a great space to rest and relax with good seating for those who are disabled or in chronic pain too. My visit was practically perfect, but the prices are steep with $6+ for a small latte. If you need any coffee accountrements like filters, pour over materials, fredh espresso beans, this is also a great spot.“

“We started buying coffee beans from Ahrre's when we lived in Summit from 2014-2018. We still buy a 5lb bag every other month now that we live in Long Island. I haven't found better coffee beans and don't know that we ever will!“
