“This was my second time there. First time was many years ago. So, I decided to meet a friend there a couple weeks ago on a weekend. Place was mobbed! After having lunch, it was understandable why it was so crowded. I had a stuffed French toast, which was absolutely fabulous! I would definitely go back, but during the week. Since I'm retired, it's not a problem. I gave it four stars, only because I don't like crowded places, even post Covid.“
“A cozy long-time Edison restaurant that has had a change of ownership within the past few years, but the bread and butter of diner experience is still there. Coffee is a bit bland but has free refills, and the western omelette and chicken wrap were great. The sweet potato fries were nice and crispy, so definitely no complaints there. The egg and sausage sandwich was a pretty typical sandwich. Our waitress was a sweet young lady who was very attentive to us. Overall, still a solid restaurant option when you've got a hankering for diner food.“
“The most delicious crepe you will ever have. Large portions, perfectly filled, the batter is light and spongy, not overly dense or too crispy. Just right. My favorite is the Ferrero Rocher. The black raspberry and coconut ice cream are superb. Best dessert spot in town.“
“Like the establishment that was there before, this place focuses on hearty breakfast options at reasonable prices. The pierogi omelet and the French toast are done right. The wraps are ok, and coffee options are limited. Service is adequate, and the back dining room provides more room to enjoy than the main dining room.“
“Food is by far the best I’ve had in the area, you get complex flavors, fresh foods, amazing clash of textures, good portions all for a quite cheap price compared to all the big restaurant chains that charge more for worse, Food arrives quick and hot and service is great. No complain. Still skeptical? Just come here and buy something for yourself, a small expense for a meal worthy of critical acclaim.“
“We had such a “sweet” experience at Sweet Dip and enjoyed the waffle stick and fruit stick. The chocolate was so fresh and delicious. Highly recommend! Great food and service. Can’t wait to go back and to try their other yummy treats.“
“this was our first visit for Saturday brunch. this is a small restaurant with an interesting menu mix of Mexican and southern American food. The coffee was really good. my Whiting and grits were worthy of my southern roots. The scrambled eggs were a bit overcooked for my taste. my husband enjoyed his chicken empanada. the portions were generous, the staff friendly and the place was clean. Did I mention the coffee?“
“Service is always great. The wait can be pretty long sometimes but the food is as great as the previous location I’ve always been to in edgewater! I was surprised that it taste exactly the same. Food is always out on the tables pretty quick. 10/10“
“Popped in here to grab breakfast for the Family based off of my Son's suggestion. It's a small place located not far from downtown Plainfield. It's a no frills location with the typical "Chicken Shack" look. The staff handled multiple orders well without making mistakes. I didn't see them write anything down, they just took peoples complex orders & kept it moving. The food was very good. I watched them make it, & they are NOT shy when it comes to butter. I LOVE THAT! I am not one of those people that will ever say "hold the butter," or "light on the butter." They make everything in butter, lol....& I support that. They are Halal, so there is no pork on the menu, so if you're looking for bacon, you can only get Turkey bacon. We had the French toast w/Beef sausage. Waffle w/Beef sausage, & two orders of Chicken & Waffles. All of the food was good, the chicken are chicken tenders, definitely gotta deduct a star for that, Yes, just for that. Why? Cause their setup they could easily do the "chicken shack" style chicken on the waffle. That would be epic! The food was good though, so no complaints. Syrup is a little weak though. Could be a bit sweeter. French Toast w/Beef Sausage: AWaffle w/Beef Sausage: AChicken & Waffle: B-“
“Icy Melon is a dessert lover's paradise, and our recent visit was nothing short of delightful. What truly elevated our experience and made me write this review was the exceptional service provided by Surya. From the moment we walked in, Surya greeted us with a warm smile and genuine enthusiasm, setting the tone for a memorable visit. He effortlessly guided us through the menu, sharing his personal recommendations and ensuring we found the perfect treat to satisfy our cravings. But what truly impressed us was Surya's attentiveness to all customers.
