“Went here after the UFC event in Newark. Didn’t know what to expect as I’m from Philly but had a great time. Cornhole outside on a nice night. Saw some comments on here saying people were not friendly. Did not experience that at all. The people I met were all very welcoming. Bartenders were great. Would recommend if you’re a down to earth type of person.“

“Tankys is the spot! These people in the comments below complaining about it being unsafe just have nothing better to do. Other bars right down the block plays music just as loud and stays open just as late. Besides the one incident last year, there aren’t any brawls or fights that happen there. Most ppl that go there are regulars and know each other. To the ppl complaint about it being loud in open late, you have the power to move to another place you knew where you were moving to when you moved there tankys has been there my whole lifeThe drinks are strong and cheap, the vibe is chill, older crowd, when they have a DJ the music is good, u can bring food in, and they have a lil pool table and a parking lot. I been going to tankys for year and never had a bad experience. Occasionally the bartenders be too busy to get to me and I’ll get tired of waiting and leave but that’s all rare.“
“My soror and I met up for brunch at this spot. I made reservations for 1pm and when I arrived the parking was a little tough. I eventually found one and headed in. There was patio and indoor seating. We were served by Manny and he was awesome. He said he was new but you really couldn't tell. For our entrées I got the chicken naan sandwich and it was pretty good. My friend got the steak and eggs amd forgot to tell them to scramble them. They were good with sending scrambled eggs asap. She enjoyed her meal too. The bill came to about $56 and we had a good experience.“
“It was worth the wait. It is such a fun atmosphere. There is décor/memorabilia all over the restaurant. The servers are in fun outfits, too. There is never a dull moment between that and the live music. The menus are news papers and I got a real kick out of the whole vibe. The food was amazing, too! We got a prickly pear margarita that was to die for. We enjoyed out lunch and would recommend!“

“This place is nuts. I was very judgmental walking in. But was wrong. Unreal the neighborhood bar this place is. Any color, creed, or gender. Karaoke was a blast. "Cleveland" Jerry the bartender was awesome. Lisa came on a bit after but was just as welcoming. Truly a don't judge a book by its cover here. Lauged my ass off.“
“Nice place to grab a drink. They sell alcohol, as well as sever it. They are open till 2am. Staff were friendly and sweet. Found the pricing to be very reasonable. They also have pool tables. Lottery and ATM machine is present. Parking should not be an issue, they have ample space.“
“Cozy place to get drinks. Great location, and also great to play pool if you're into it. If you want to keep the party going, they also got packaged goods, which is a great convenience. To top it off, they have a jukebox to play your tunes, and thanks to the mixed crowd, no genre goes unheard. 10/10“
