“Very nice little place right off Main St in Englishtown. Was greeted very friendly and the service was just excellent. The typical diner breakfast food was excellent, with the French toast as a standout. It's one of my favorite breakfast foods and they did a fantastic job with it. Will definitely come back here again and introduce people to good NJ diner food.“

“Another amazing meal at our regular date night spot. We had the pleasure of having Mark as our waiter- he's new to the staff but an excellent addition! Johnathan was training him and also did an awesome job of stepping back and letting Mark take the lead and jumping in if needed. “Bovine is the place to be in Jamesburg. We love their events nights like family feud, trivia, and live music because it's the kind of place you can sit down and feel welcome by the staff and people around you, especially at the bar and ESPECIALLY when the manager Kyle is on. I recommend this place wholeheartedly to everyone, whether they live near or far. If I had to recommend anything (I've been here a bunch) I'd say try out the Jamesburger and Oreodough milkshake. And if you're feeling wild, get an alcoholic Nutter Udder Shake or Diablo margarita (spicy!).“

“Went on a Sunday afternoon to watch some NFL Playoff football. Bartenders were fast/friendly, drinks were cold/served perfect, and food was good. There are TV's everywhere, so there really isn't a bad seat. Great atmosphere, friendly crowd, with a sports bar look and feel. Plenty of parking and bathrooms are spotless. When in town again, we will definitely stop in.“

“Flaming Chorizo for an appy, which we both enjoyed. I had the Rigatoni Bolognese for dinner, which I liked. And my wife had Chicken Parm, which she loves. They only had one IPA: Fiddlehead, which I don't love. And the Margarita was $14 and not very good. I was tempted to deduct a star because of the drinks, but the bartenders were great, so I decided not to. We sat at the bar, which I prefer. My wife was not completely comfortable on the chair. My complaints are meant to be suggestions. I will be back.“

“Went last night and everything we order was amazing. I got a sandwich and the chicken was freshly fried. Also got what looked like a fried calzone filled with chicken and mozzarella then topped with vodka sauce, it was on another level. We also shared the special which was chicken leg that fell off the bone and was season perfectly. Everyone there was super nice, great atmosphere and people! Definitely will be going back.“

“Had my daughters first birthday party here after looking at multiple other restaurants. This restaurant had the nicest party room and the food was delicious. The day of the party, I was able to come early to decorate and set up. The owner and his family were very kind and helped set up the room and accommodated our requests.They continually checked in throughout the event to make sure we were happy and if we needed anything. The waitresses made sure we had enough food and the kids were all given kids meals which they loved. My guests raved about the chicken francese and baked clams.It was a great day and I felt very at peace knowing how helpful staff was and didn't have to worry about the party going smoothly. I sat at the bar and paired it with a blond beer, which I don't typically drink, and it was a surprisingly great combination. Overall, Maloneys on Main is a great spot for a tasty meal and drinks.“

“5 star tacos, but it seems they gave up on the inside 20 years ago so -1 star.Accompanying Pepper: small roasted pepper (serrano maybe?), damn that little thing is hot, very hot. One small bite was a painfully wonderful way to start the meal.Tacos: 3 corn tortilla pork tacos with with diced onions and an obscene amount of cilantro and they were legit great. “If you want good,authentic Greek without needing to go to a "high end" restaurant with "high end" pricing you found it! Jimmy's has always been consistently excellent with the food they have served me and my family. The service is fast and attentive and they do a good job making you feel welcome. The restaurant is nestled in a strip mall and when inside it is nicely decorated and comfortable. The Gyro platters and Mixed Grill platter are extremely good and the portion sizes are nice as well. The Lemon Potatoes are cooked perfectly and are addicting. My favorite side dish and if they come with the meals even better. The spinach rice is also highly recommended if you choose that as your side or have it with your meal. Always go back to this place as I haven't found a Greek restaurant close to them in the area.“

“Perhaps i ordered the wrong main entree. The appetizers were good we got wings and the pretzels 6/10. i got chicken and waffle for my main and i have to say it was the blandest chicken ive ever had. No flavor in the chicken or the coat. Bland waffle. Most of the seasonings were on the egg and they didnt even ask me how i want that cooked because i definitely wouldve said sunnyside up…. They gave me over hard 1/10. Being unhappy with my choice i tried some of my friends’ pizzas and they were decent if you like soft crust (no crunch)7/10 in my opinion. “The food here is amazing!! I have been to the Matawan location a few times now and every time I try something new and nothing is disappointing. Their chicken quesadillas are amazing their Bergers and wings are amazing!! The waiters are very friendly, the manager came by to check on us a couple of times and was very friendly and helped us with anything we needed awesome guy! “I usually come here after work and get some pizzas slices before closing. The price and the size of the slices cannot be beat. Staff has been nice when I've come and if I don't want to drive into New Brunswick I can get myself some fat sandwiches.“

He had to visit a diner for a class he is taking at Rutgers University and was only allowed 250 words for a review - his professors directions. I feel this diner is worth more than just 250 words, so here is my review to extend on his.Our family of 4 went here for breakfast and we were welcomed by the very friendly and humorous “Big Jim.” Not only is he the best host around, he makes the very scrumptious cheesecakes at the restaurant and in my opinion the best I ever had in a very long time. We were seated immediately and were taken care of by Lorraine who was very friendly and attentive. At our table we had the sausage and gravy bowl - which was overflowing with delicious sausage, blueberry pancakes - filled with fresh blueberries, avocado toast that was loaded with avocado, eggs Florentine with the most perfectly cooked eggs and amazing homemade potatoes, red white and blue waffles with fresh strawberries and whipped cream, strawberry milkshake that was thick and delicious, homemade rice pudding, a piece of Big Jim’s amazing cheesecake and bottomless coffee that would put WaWa out of business because it was sooooo good. “Had dinner and drinks with friends! The food was the usual bar food menu and it was delicious. Service was friendly , attentive and great. The place also has a good vibe going on. My only complaint was the bar noise can get a little overwhelming! Otherwise a great place to visit!“

“I had an overall wonderful experience at Colonial Diner. The food was better than your average diner and the atmosphere was very notable. I spoke to who I believe to be the manager there about the place and he pointed out the original floors and tiles in the building. The diner had a long bar stretched across the building with multiple TVs playing movies. The staff was very friendly and my order was taken and came very quickly. I showed up about a little over an hour before closing and the restaurant did not have many people in there. The parking lot was large and had many spots. I came on a Thursday night and the staff was very quick everything was done almost immediately after sitting down.“

White meat on the drier side as expected so maybe opt for dark meat next time. Tasty skin. Loved the green beans believe it or not. “This Chapter House is excellent!! Stumbled across this place by accident, and a good thing we did! The Caprese Panini is the best I EVER had! The chicken was cooked perfectly, and the pesto was delicious, you could tell homemade. I substituted the fries for vegetables, and even the broccoli and carrots were so fresh. We sat at the bar, and the bartender Heidi was so nice, personable, and provided excellent service. A true experienced professional! We had the appetizer special of stuffed mushrooms with crabmeat and it could have been an entree. So much crabmeat in the stuffing. My girlfriend had the stuffed filet of sole and had a lot of stuffing in them as well, fresh carrots, tater tots, and chicken noodle soup (homemade). I had the pork and figs which had sauteed spinach and fig chunks in marsala sauce over pork medallions. I chose the New England clam chowder which was also homemade. It had whole clams in it, that were cooked perfectly and had no grit in them. Everything was absolutely delicious. We will go back there again. Highly recommended.“

“MJ's is great place to go for happy hour. It's also not to be missed during the summer. Their outdoor dining setup is absolutely amazing. Right on the lake, they have plenty of outdoor seating and the background is so nice! The food in and of itself is pretty basic. This is not where the foodies and 5 star eaters go. However, for a nice lunch or happy hour drinks, this place does the trick! Typical bar food, some sushi options and sugary cocktails. The service is always decent and the place is huge so the waits are never very long. They also have banquet halls so you will often see weddings, private parties etc which can be nice if you like to people watch. They also have a DJ on weekend nights which can be nice but annoying if you are just coming for dinner. Not a date spot, but a great spot for a casual hang.“
