I paid $11.54 for a bagel with egg and cheese and a small coffee. Everything tasted good, but that price is astronomical for what I got. I will not return

Awful. Bought over 100 bagels for my employees at work and they delivered it an hour late. No one was able to eat and owner didn’t even care. All I got was a “sorry”. Seriously?! 100 bagels for an IN TOWN event and couldn’t even make it on time.. 5 minutes away. Placed order 2 weeks in advance. Very disappointed.

I'm glad I didn't read the reviews. My family and I were in the area. We were going to stop at a different place for breakfast (they were closed). We stumbled upon Four J's and loved the bagels. The space is raw, but roomy. Bagels were light and airy but chewy with a great crust. We got an egg and cheese on bagel and bagel with butter. The coffee wasn't good but I've yet to find a bagel spot with good coffee. Service was great. How high are your standards for a bagel spot?

What a terrible place. I used to go here for a long time, and the staff was nice, but now is different. I requested to change the kind of bagel and the young lady didn't answer me, later she said "don't you see that I'm doing something else?" She walked over to the bagels and rudely she asked me which one I wanted. When I requested the other member of the staff to talk with the owner the other lady said me she is the owner but didn’t do anything, and she told me "if you want to cancel the order, cancel it". Definitely I won’t be back this place.

Horrible experience. The staff (two ladies) were rude and disrespectful.

Mediocre food. High prices. Not friendly people. Yelp is making me type more because blah blah blah

Best bagels in Essex if not further out. All flavors are amazing and staff all friendly. Sandwiches are also tasty and well balanced. Fav spot for breakfast lunch or brunch.

I used to be a semi regular at Four J's. By semi regular I mean one to three times per week. My work schedule then changed a bit which didn't allow the luxury of breakfast. But now I am back. The Pros at Four J's are a very congenial staff. Relatively quick service. Large open space. Decent bagels and slightly above average sandwiches and food. The Cons are a limited variety of bagels that are rarely hot. And, that the prices are notably higher than at other bagel shops. I order the same relatively boring thing at any of three bagel shops that I frequent and Four J's price is about 25% higher for the identical 2 items. I'm not going to state what those items are as they may then who I am. With that said I will more than likely continue to order from Four J's. However, they will now be a bit lower in my rotation due to the prices.

The bagels are good. It's nothing crazy compared to a regular New Jersey or New York bagel with the packed cream cheese. The service was good and the staff was friendly!

One of the best sausage, egg, and cheese on a everything bagel in NJ.

Best in town! Call in if you want to avoid lines! Always a soft bagel. Just missing the hash brown!

Absolutely horrible experience. Bagels are disgusting. The staff is miserable. Avoid going to this sad excuse of a bagel shop.
