El Trancazo Restaurant & Bakery Mexican • $

“Delicious al pastor tacos! 4 stars because they don't know English and I struggled to order over the phone. She even disconnected my call because it seemed like too much a hassle to understand me. That wasn't pleasant but the food was good. The chicken tamales are huge but honestly I've had them Slightly better. I'm not a fan of the all mushed up texture but then that's me. Every other rescues raves about them. Tacos were just awesome both the al pastor and chorizo. I'll definitely come back to try other things on their menu“

El Establo Family • $$

“Very good service, very tasty food, but I think that there you have to be careful with some dishes because the spiciness is very high, perhaps if it is possible to let them know that if you are someone who does not tolerate something very spicy, they should regulate it if possible.. .. it's happened to me several times but I always forget to tell you....!!!!!“

“This restaurant is the best thing that has happened to me. I arrived from Mexico 2 years ago and I had not found something as authentic as my country; Good service and well recommended, I don't know why there are such bad reviews if this is the best, I will definitely return soon. ?“

“Great, authentic Mexican food in an ambiance that will transport you into a temporary Mexican vacation! First off, to address the past reviews of bad service from, arguably, sketchy accounts--my husband and I are both Filipino. We had Amada and a few others who dropped off food, but Amada and her coworkers were nothing but attentive and kind to us. Now onto the drinks and food! FYI we found out the hard way 1 order of tacos has 4 pieces. We had: -Michelada; the drink has an option to add shrimp. DEF ADD SHRIMP! 5/5 -Orchata 5/5 -Al Pastor tacos 4/5 -Chorizo tacos 5/5 -Chicken nachos 5/5 -Chicken mole 4/5 Overall great food, great ambiance, and great service. We're fans and we'll undoubtedly be back!“

“First, the great: order the chilaquiles for brunch. It’s a great non-traditional “elevated” take that retains all the beloved parts of the dish: the soggy-crunchy texture, the fried egg. The twists made sense, from the creamy non-spicy salsa to the hearty beans and mole crunch. It appeals to Americans’ preference for creamy foods. Also, if you can handle a bit of heat, order anything with salsa macha, a slightly spicy smoky-nutty chili oil.The bad: temperature and texture. It felt like most of the food sat at the counter for a long time before they got delivered to our table, or they didn’t even bother to cook the food. The tuna tostada and spring pea tlayuda sat on a soggy, leathery base. The chilaquiles did not touch the stove, just a bunch of chips tossed in sauce. The tacos arrived pretty close to room temp. Flavors were pleasant, but I expected something more intense or interesting from a Michelin place.Overall, the food’s pretty darn good for the price despite the flaws.“

“Ok but not my favorite upscale Mexican in Brooklyn. I really like the tuna tostada (came with tuna, grapefruit, avocado). Got a vegetarian main that was ok, nothing special. Mezcal menu looked good so I’d come back for a drink. Was able to get walk-in seats at the bar by coming right at 5:30 when they open.“

“Really good carne asada tacos (5/5), brisket tacos (4.5/5)! The carne asada in the tacos was incredible - moist, flavorful, and very umami packed without being chewy. Really good. The brisket was great they have you a LOT for the filling. The mile enchiladas were okay (4/5) - the mole sauce was good but the chicken inside was very chewy.“

“I stopped by for drinks around 7pm on a Saturday with some friends. Thankfully there was a table available and we were seated right away. Bosco's has an extensive drink menu, and happy hour if you go during certain times on weekdays. The drinks were average NY prices, and were very good. I got the Sam Said So, while my friend got a Negroni. Both were very good! The service was great, and the decor was fun.“

“My all time favorite taco place in the city. Los Tacos No.1 was my favorite until I tried this place. Honestly you can't go wrong with any of their tacos but their pastor is my favorite. Whenever I am in BK, I will always make a stop here. Also try Tako Sando and Mallard Drake (al pastor hamburger) which is right down the “
