Searching for Caribbean food and this gem popped up. Who would have thought in Hunterdon County! Can’t wait to go back. The Jerk chicken is a must! We had the snapper Escovitch, salt fish & ackee, jerk chicken and beef patties. Their homemade drink selection is delicious I had the lemonade guava. Met the owners while there very nice family and they take pride in their business. Sorry forgot to take pics of before devouring everything.

Since everything on the menu looked delicious, last night we decided to try our own "sampler platter" and ordered the jerk chicken, brown stew chicken, curry chicken, and fried chicken with mango/pineapple/ginger sauce, along with 4 sides - rice & peas, steamed veggies, mac & cheese, and plantains. Every single dish was outstanding!! We kept commenting about the many unique spice & flavor combinations, and what a treat it was to have such authentic Jamaican/Caribbean food. We also thoroughly enjoyed speaking with the family who owns & operates the restaurant, including the chef Michele -- they were all so knowledgeable about Caribbean cuisine & incredibly personable. THANK YOU so much for an excellent culinary experience!!
Very disappointed. They gave me beef neck bones instead of oxtails! Very poor service on Saturday. Cutting corners! Also never received my order of fried chicken and potato salad! WOW!

My first time getting food from Island Vybz did not disappoint! I got the special fried chicken with mango sauce with sides of potato salad and mac and cheese. I also got a beef patty which was really good and had a little kick. Everything was delicious, and I’ll definitely be ordering and dining in in the future!

I LOVE this place. My husband and I love caribbean food. We are fans of Caribbean food, whether it be from Jamaica, Guyana or Trinidad. Since moving from NY to NJ, we have been on the lookout for a Caribbean restaurant that checks all the boxes for flavor, clean ingredients, service, vegetarian options (I'm a gluten free pescatarian but husband is a meat eater) and Island Vybz is the best we have found and totally comparable to the best Caribbean restaurants we've been to in Queens, and the Bronx. I'd say that this restaurant is even better than some of my faves because like I mentioned, the ingredients are so fresh and clean while the flavor is super. We had the oxtail and vegan chicken curry. I can't wait to go back!Dietary restrictions: Many gluten free options :)
Very friendly service from the owner/chef. Food was delicious, and nice presentation. Generous portions. I understand they may be moving soon - it is a little hard to find them in Turntable Junction since they're not visible from the street.

Little hidden restaurant that packs a punch in flavor. Started off with a beef patty because how can you come to a Jamaican Restaurant and NOT get 1?? While I do prefer Spicy beef, they had mild which still did the job to satisfy my craving. We moved onto ordering some sweet chili wings and they were great! Then for the main, I ordered the Oxtail dinner and the wife got J*** Chicken. Both again was well portioned, flavorful, you can taste the smoke from the J*** and the Oxtail was tender and melted in your mouth.Will definitely be coming back to this establishment!

My husband and I just enjoyed a meal here. It's hidden away from the main drag and might be over looked, the experience was worth the effort of finding it. The staff was super friendly And our server tiana was amazing and helpful. The food was delicious, the portion size was right for the price. Wegot curry chicken, brown stew chicken, beef patties and fried plantains.... everything was great. We will definitely be back.

I visited twice recently. I enjoyed the j*** pork wrap and the chicken Jamaican patty. Both were tasty and properly prepared. The service was pleasant nad prompt. I will return again soon.
