Salad bar was always well stocked and the food was well cooked. First time I was able to get a medium cooked egg at the DFAC!”

“This is the best Popeyes I’ve been to. The customer service is great, always friendly and helpful. However, If you go around noon or dinner time, be prepared to wait. Popeyes is one of the most popular restaurants on base, and it is always slammed around noon - 1 because it’s lunchtime. The line wait is a little line, and there may be a wait to receive too. But this place always gives a good amount of chicken and friendly service.”

“If you haven’t already been to Turtle Beans, I would highly recommend stopping in! The “ Specialty Coffee Roasters “ truly speaks for itself as the coffee and the service / atmosphere here is special in itself. This past weekend, on Saturday my church had an event where they had Turtle Beans come out to be a barista for the event itself. I ended up getting the caramel iced latte and it truly was the best iced latte I have personally had. It was so good that it drove me to go immediately after Sunday service to their shop right on Farnsworth Ave in Bordentown to get the same coffee! They have so many hand crafted coffee options to choose from cold or hot, as well as hand crafted seasonals to try and choose from! They import and roast their own specialty coffee beans from multiple coffee producing countries around the world making every sip a truly unique experience! They also have different varieties of teas and pastries sourced from local bakeries! Steven and Linda are so very welcoming and genuinely amazing people, they have made the atmosphere for their shop as welcoming as they are. Keep making amazing coffee and specialty’s Turtle Beans, you are both rocking it! If you haven’t already, when you get the chance to go read their story that is posted on their website, stop in to say hello and try a one of a kind experience, it might just be your new favorite spot!”

“Huge shoutout to Angelo’s tonight. Only wish I would’ve remembered my server’s name, to give her extra recognition here. We went out for an important dinner tonight. We were celebrating something small, but meaningful. When we called they had no reservations available for the evening, but then called us back and squeezed us in at 4:30. The power went out in the entire city after we were served our first course. We were served our entrees in the dark, with the same elegance, as of nothing had occurred. Even with the unfortunate circumstances, we were treated like royalty by the entire staff, and had an exceptional dining experience. I will be dreaming of the escarole, until I have it again. Thank you Angelo’s! Great job! 👏🏽”

“This place is excellent. Keep in mind its cash only, with an ATM located inside. My first time there was sort of forced, when i was younger i was not open to different food like this. Now i find myself at this establishment multiple times a month. This time i had the saint patty day special. Corned beef with cabbage, and potato soup. Very good. Also tried the brat salad (i think it was called) which is german bologna with tomatos, onions, and maybe cucumber. It was extremely good. The kartoffelpuffers (potato pancakes) are amazing, the spatzel (fried german noodles) are my favorite. And the beef stew is like no other. Ive never had anything bad off this menu. The desserts are great as well.”

“My husband and I hired Billy and Carmelo’s Brick Oven Pizza for our party last weekend. The pizzas were fantastic, creative, and definitely not your same old pie. “My husband and I celebrate our birthdays together since they are one day apart. This year we chose to go to Tuscano's in BORDENTOWN city which we've been too many times in the past. The bacon dusted calamari and Aji tuna apps were outstanding We both ordered the veal chop special, since we used to order the veal chop with Sunday gravy when it used to be on the menu many years ago. This veal chop was served with vodka sauce and pepperoni. Although the veal chop was cooked to perfection, the choice to serve it with the vodka sauce and pepperoni, honestly made it feel cheap, which it was most certainly not! We would have both preferred the delicious Sunday gravy that used to be served with it, but unfortunately, that is no longer available. I probably would not order this version of the veal chop in the future as it wasn't either one of ours favorites. but fast-forward to the espresso and the Italian cream and the pumpkin crème brûlée both desserts were outstanding. I went with the mixed platter over rice and it hit every mark. The meats were cooked to perfection: juicy, well-seasoned, and with that perfect smoky edge. The rice was fluffy and flavorful, and the toppings fresh lettuce, tomato, and pickled veggies balanced the richness beautifully.

But what really pulled it all together? The sauces. The white sauce was creamy and cool, and the hot sauce had just the right amount of kick without overpowering everything else. Pro tip: ask for extra on the side — you’ll want it.

Service was fast and friendly, even during the lunch rush, and everything was made fresh to order. The portions are huge (definitely enough for two meals if you’re not starving), and the prices are super reasonable for the quality and quantity.
