The meatballs voted in best in New Jersey are definitely worth it. A combination of textures and flavors such as pine nuts and raisins gave it a delightful flavor; we ate every single bite. I got the genovese-gnocchi with braised beef short rib. The gnocchi was soft and pillowy yet firm. The braised beef short rib was tender and smooth to taste; the beef reduction brought all the flavors together nicely. If you're looking for great Italian food then give Lucas a visit.
The manager is such a sweet man and very understanding and friendly. Him and all the great cooks/ servers are the reason we will always be back to have dinner or lunch here. The food here is so tasty and lots of options for anyone. Highly recommend for anyone who wants some fresh authentic Italian food. Fantastic food made from scratch. They accommodated our daughter's food allergy with no trouble at all. Our server, Matt, was friendly and a pleasure to talk to. He was even able to give us great travel recommendations for the nearby cities we were here to visit. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and visit here and would love to come back if we ever travel through again.Dietary restrictions: GF options

This will be the last time I go there to dine and to order to go.I placed an order early in the day for a 7:00 pick up when we showed up for the food it wasn’t ready and the manager showed no interest whatsoever in listening or explaining.This place is not the same since Covid.Last time I ever order or eat in.

We were greeted by a smiling "Young Luca" and quickly brought to our table. He was our server for the evening. He always works to exceed expectations and has never disappointed us. We ordered the "Calzone special" as an appetizer and it was very good. My wife and my Sister-in-Law ordered the Fish and Veal Chop specials which they said were delicious. I ordered the Ischia and it was excellent. The restaurant was busy but not noisy. We have been to the restaurant many times and it is always a pleasant experience. I highly recommend it.

Excellent experience. Both apps and the dinners delicious. Had the eggplant with yellow tomato sauce which was better than any I've had as an app as well as the octopus, which was also fantastic. Dinners were short rib which was amazing and my wife had the Luca, seafood and linguine, also very good. Tiramisu and coffee for dessert topped a wonderful dining experience. Highly recommended.

Dining in Lucas, is similar to many experiences I’ve had in small restaurants in Italy. From the decor to the menu, you would think you were in a small town somewhere along the coast. The staff is friendly and attentive. The plates are always served hot, the breads are unique and delicious. Although it is BYOB, they also offer a nice selection of local wines. You might get lucky if you just walk in, but I’d make a reservation in advance, so as to not miss out on a great meal.
