I’ve been looking for something like this for a minute. I’m very glad that I’ve found this place. Everyone is very welcoming and friendly. I was able to try different types of juices, and was introduced to the process of the making plus each of the ingredients. Everything is very fresh, organic, and the recipes for the juices are very well crafted!!
I was very impressed with the service and the original selection. I wasn’t able to get the name of the gentleman who served us, but he was very informative.”

“I had an amazing time. I came here on May 14th to celebrate my birthday and the vibes were there, the food delicious and the drinks were strong. Service was on point. The night shifted with the live dj and really brought the night together. The staff was sweet & attentive. I recommend this place for birthday, random night out, date night or whatever. Make sure you give yourself time. The line is long and they take their time with every customer. Very slow moving but worth the wait.”

“My boyfriend, daughter and I’s favorite restaurant. We love the friendly and welcoming service from the sweet woman at the counter I wish I could remember her name because she makes the experience even better. Moving to this new neighborhood and having this gem nearby is really nice we are lucky. The food is 10/10. Out go to is the stir fry, vegetable ramen for my toddler and the passion fruit tea! I love that my daughter looks forward to coming here and saying hi to the friendly lady and getting a little treat as well. Highly recommend :)”

“Growing up, jelly donuts were at the bottom of my list in terms of flavors. I would eventually eat one, but it would be my last choice. A Polish coworker told me about how beloved jelly donuts are in Poland and I was skeptical of how good a jelly donut could be.

Then I found myself at Kohout Bakery and I've completely changed my tune, because damn, the raspberry jelly donuts are ridiculously good. It's the jelly. It's a very good jelly. It's not gummy or thick. It's full of raspberry flavor and there is plenty of the jelly in each donut. Even a couple of days after purchase, when the donut is a little stale, the donut is still so good because that jelly keeps the interior moist.

Other items in the store are also delicious, including the cream cheese cookies. They are not too sweet and have a great balance of flavors.

The service is very friendly and helpful, always patient with me and my indecisions.

Be prepared to bring cash, but the prices are also very affordable, so you can still get plenty of treats for under $10.

Even if you don't live too close by there, it is worth a trip every once in awhile to get really good bread especially for Sunday gravy/sauce. They are open many hours so it's very convenient.”

“Ordered 225 small empanadas from them. Everybody was raving about them. Very very good. Filled with meat and the cheese. One were filled with cheese and the chicken ones were filled with chicken. Can't go wrong with this place to order empanadas, the ground beef ones had a lot of flavor”

“In New Jersey, it’s really difficult to find appealing vegan options. This shop blows every other option in NJ out of the water!
The pizzas are delicious, my S/O and I have tried the buffalo, BBQ, pepperoni pizzas and the garlic knots and they are all so delicious!
Most of all, ever since going vegan, I just came to terms with the fact that I would never be able to have a good calzone ever again. The VEGAN CALZONES HERE ARE SO DELICIOUS and they are HUGE!!! You have to try them! And I am sure that the non-vegan options are just as delicious as it’s not so easy to have a good vegan menu but they have it down pat! I should have written this review a long time ago and for that I apologize!
The owners here are so sweet too. They are great people! Please try something from here you won’t regret it!

“I am a local resident of Garfield. I enjoy and appreciate Sushi Boy when I can get in. It is a quiet and beautiful venue when you have the opportunity to eat in. The decor is wonderful, as is the food. The prices are great as well. My only complaint is that I have attempted to eat in twice, only to find the doors locked both times. Once an hour before closing, the second an hour and a half before closing. I would rather give my money to a local business than something available through Uber eats. Still a great venue, and although I understand why they would close early, it is unfortunate to show up at their door and then have to walk away.”

A big reason my first visit was so enjoyable was Alejandro. He was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the night. He checked in often, had great recommendations, and made us feel like regulars even though it was our first time there. Customer service like that is hard to find these days.
