“Amazing little bar with a great beer selection and excellent bar food. The wings were among the best I’ve ever had (and I’m from Alberta - we take wings seriously!) knowledgeable server and very friendly. They put a lot of care into the food and drink of this bar and it shows.“
“Food was fresh and fantastic. It's considered new American food and I think the menu might rotate seasonally. It's recommended that you get 2 or 3 small plates per person plus an entree.Probably not kid friendly, the place is on the smaller side and not sure if they have high chairs.“
“Redcrest Kitchen is the Cafe / Diner on 6th St. just a one block south of Philadelphia's famous South St.; In other words, it's right where all of the action is. On this rare rather warm Saturday (short sleeve shirt in Philadelphia in Mid-March-really?) we got a outdoor table for our brunch and basked in the sun. My wife shared a hotdog and Caesar salad with my sons girlfriend, my son also had a Caesar with an order of fries and I had their very good; 2 scrambled eggs A wedge of excellent hash browns Two breakfast sausages And some whole grain toast To say we were all "Happy Campers" with this first rate meal combined with accomplished service would be an understatement. Along with a not too expensive bill, made this trip to the Redcrest Kitchen an outstanding experience.“
“Great food. Best burger I have had HANDS DOWN!!!! Good vibe!!! They have pool here. I believe other bar games. Drink are good. We had the Tiki Tiki cocktail. They have 3 floors I was on the 3rd floor...no elevator but its cool. FYI Don't get too buzzed so u don't miss a step....lol I would go “
“I love this place. The food is excellent. I’ve really enjoyed the three different meals I’ve had there. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the extensive draft list. The music is a nice touch. Records are selected by the bartenders and played on a turntable. Definitely my favorite spot for drinks and food when we’re in the neighborhood.“
“If you're looking for a great corner bar with awesome bartenders this is your spot. They know beer and have the best circulating on tap. They have tvs for the sports games and a pool table, and if you bring your own darts, you can play darts.“
“The best restaurant in all of Philly. From the exceptional service to the to-die-for food, this place is a hidden gem that you need to experience The vibe is authentic, and the drinks are delicious. Just make sure you save room because you won't want to miss out on their desserts!“
“My son and I were in the mood for good burgers. Google suggested this location, so we gave it a go. You walk into the bar area and are greeted with a smile and told to sit wherever you like. The menu was not large, but it was still pretty difficult to pick from the interesting, creative, and deliciously described burgers. My son and I decided to split our top 2 picks. The buns were light, and the burgers were surprisingly easy to go down. We were both astonished how quickly we took down the breakfast and classic burgers. The fries were well-seasoned and cooked well, and the shoestring onion rings were a nice treat. We ended the meal with some fried oreos that came with an amazing dip.We are planning to return to take on some of the other burgers on the menu!“
“Great choice if you want something tasty real quick but don't want a fastfood. These guys cook like top chefs ?Also, they have coffee. I mean Real Coffee, freshly grounded and prepared just for you with their 15 bar espresso machine. So if you're from Europe, get your coffee here. Italy-grade stuff.“
“Perfectly Splendid. Go to sports bar in Point Breeze. Atmosphere is always great, have amazing game day specials and food is on point as well. Last time we there they did forget about our drinks! But compt the drinks, which not all restaurants would do! Great happy hour, hours 4-7 so if your working you won't miss it.“
“Perfect neighborhood gem. Gastropub food is just delicious. Wide variety of food options as well as a terrific beer selection. Through the pub and then a doorway into the "house" next door is a very cozy two floor (maybe three?)experience, a house turned into an eating area, also a surprise pinball machine corner and televisions on both floors. Very unique, very comfortable. You just want to hang there all night as if it were your own house. Love it“
“I’m really on the fence with this review. The service and ambience were great. It’s a trendy little neighborhood bar with good music and good people. Three draft beers with common names and off we were to our table. The beer is brewed offsite but it’s Meeting’s beer: love that. However, the food left much to be desired. The bread and butter were good, fries were done right but the clams and Turkey BLT…meh. The clams were so chewy…I mean like, super chewy and I could not cut into it with my teeth. I had one: full stop. Now ordering a Turkey BLT, one should not expect the moon but since there’s about 7 - 8 things on the menu I would hope that each dish is done to near-perfection. It was not. It was essentially basic. Did I eat everything save for the clams? Yes. Would I go back? For sure. The service, people and beer are worth another pass. And I’ll definitely try another dish but I won’t go hungry. Live music would definitely draw me back in!“
“We tried TD for the first time on Monday as my brother was at Jeff for a treatment. We had egg frittata and a breakfast sandwich--both were outstanding. But the star of the show to me at least was my iced cinnamon roll latte. I normally don't go for this type of drink because they always taste like a mouthful of sugar. This had a delicious coffee flavor with just the right balance of milk and sweetness. Obviously these types of beverages are a sweet treat but one does want to taste the coffee. The young women in there keep everything running smoothly and the atmosphere is peaceful and warm. We're happy to have found a new spot.“
“I hosted my birthday here with 20 guests, and everything went so smoothly. I literally have no complaints. All of my guests raved about the food, including my foodie friends. I had a number of dietary restrictions within my group (gluten free, vegetarian) mixed amongst meat eaters - and there were no mix ups or issues with any of the requests I had.The bartenders and servers were all super friendly too - and they left a bunch of to-go boxes near the buffet for guests to take home food. The server even stopped by to ask me if we wanted to take any food before they cleared it all out. I would not hesitate to book another event here or even for a fun night out with friends or date night!“
“Had a few hours to kill between flights at Philly International, so my wife and I headed to downtown on the train looking for a neighborhood pub for lunch. Found it! This place is excellent. We had the roast beef and roast pork sandwiches. Plus the "long hots." Good beer selection on tap and in bottles. If we're ever in Philly again we'll return here for sure.“
“So I recently discovered this place looking for lunch for work. The first time I ordered from here I got a cheesesteak, cheese waffle fries and a slice of bbq pizza. Now, the fries were good, they give a great portion for a small. The cheesesteak would’ve been great also but someone was a little heavy handed with the salt shaker and they kind of blew the taste for me. Don’t get me wrong, it was good but the overpowering of the salt kind of ruined it but i still ate it. Last is the slice of pizza. That was delicious, i just wish they would keep it in a bit longer so the crust can get a little crispier. It was the first thing i ate and had to peel the crust off to eat with every bite i took. Overall, it's a cool laid back place. I would still recommend it to those who are looking for a pizza place downtown. They also have some desserts in the fridge that look absolutely appetizing. Oh, the macadamia nut cookies are out of this worlddddd!“
“My first time going here and I was a little hesitant but, I must say choice gone right !!! We ordered a 20 piece wing (hot and honey) and two plain fries, the Friday cheesesteak special and 4 beers our total with a $13 tip was $80 for two people. The wings were big not small. I definitely believe we got our money’s worth especially in this economic state we're in! I will definitely be back they have deals and happy hour almost every day of the week!!! Be mindful that the bartenders are also the servers so be patient and kind. The live music was a vibe the guy sang Taylor Swift.“
“Fun little dive bar with a huge beer list, ski ball, and pool. I usually come for the food though. They have a built in food truck. The vibes here are super fun and they always have some form of a sports game on too.Vegetarian options: The pesto grilled cheese is to die for!Wheelchair accessibility: No steps, and a handicap accessible bathroom“
“Our whole group agreed when we sat down at Two Robbers, “this place is immaculately clean.” Over the next 2.5 hours we received diligent and compassionate care from a classy bartender named Doris and a cool floor manager named Lexi: they were knowledgeable and always put the customer first. Our group had reservations across town, but we did not want to leave. Highlights of this really cool hip spot, aside from the stellar service, were delicious refreshing drinks and the best loaded fries I’d ever had. Wish I had more of the food. If you like organized kitchens, take a peek into their passthrough. Nuts were kinda soggy, but that might have been how they were supposed to be.“
“A treasure in the Newbold/Point Breeze neighborhood of Philadelphia! Beers are so top notch with classic standards and new interpretations that just hit perfect. The food menu is super simple and to the point. Every item on the menu is guaranteed to be delicious! Highly recommended for beer lovers new and old!“
“DOTF has a very unique atmosphere and interesting flavors of beer to go with it. That said, it is a coffee house first and a brewery second. Service can get very slow so don’t expect to be getting slung beers down the bar every time your glass is empty. But go on non-peak hours and non-event days, you should be fine.“
“Excellent brewery in the area, solid list of different type of beers not just the 700 IPAs that the brewery around the corner offers. Food is fantastic, all priced extremely reasonable. Party of three with an app, dinner and several beers was around 100 bucks. Within walking distance of the Fillmore and Brooklyn bowl. My new favorite go to since liquid arts closed down“
“Seriously, an old staple, simple, straightforward, no frills slamming porkroll egg and cheese sandwiches. The amount of porkroll you'll see them slice up is crazy. It's an old general store with old school candy not often seen around and Charlie's Chips in the nostslgic tins. You'll likely have met the owner without even knowing... everyone seems polite, which has served me. It's the tiniest kitchen and deli. Everything's tasted good.. soups, sandwiches, and deli foods. If you sit, you'll see one plate at a time come out, but it works here. Slow down, have a seat, and enjoy a good meal, good portion at a good price.Great place to grab food before or after a nice walk in Allaire parkTime forgot this place, but in a good way.P.S. Good is used a lot in this review... it's not mediocre.. there is just a goodness and simplicity to this place, and it's a pure compliment .“
“Perfect spot to grab a couple beers from their huge selection of cans or draft lines and take in patio season. Tucked into the neighborhood so great spot to walk over to to start the night, weekend, etc off. Would be a fun place to watch games too as they have a good amount of TVs setup as well. Added bonus, it’s dog central so whether you bring your own or just love dogs, this is the spot for you.“
“I was in West Philly for Porch Fest and stumbled on this place. It is a great concept with breakfast or Mexican food plus a WIDE variety of beers. The staff is very helpful. If I lived closer, I would definitely come for some late night grub!“
“My good friend Pennsylvania State Representative Kevin Boyle recommended this place to me, he said it's his favorite bar to go to and blow off some steam while unwinding after work.I just visited this place last night for the first time and it was FANTASTIC!!! The Wit or Witowski sandwich was amazing and being a fan of sour beers, I thoroughly enjoyed a couple of Keep On Keepin' On sours by Lithermans Brewing Company, it paired well with the sandwich.I saw a lot of military servicemen in here having a great time, they said it was even better than a promotion! The staff was terrific and made this such an enjoyable evening that I'l never forget! Thanks so much! I'l be back!“
“Pretty good selection of beers and there are more than enough TVs to tune in to watch whatever local game you’re trying to catch. I think the service could be a bit better but other than that, it’s a fine little watering hole for locals.“
“Located in a small neighborhood in Philly, you'll find Jaxx's. It's small so we ended up sitting outside on the patio. They had outside warmers and were able to turn them on for us. Ordering food was confusing because they have a second bar in the back and the kitchen and I was first told by the bartender at the front bar that I would need to order in the back but a woman in the back said she we would come outside to take our order. I won't fault them since it was Thursday night football and they started to get busy. I ordered the Me 19 cheesesteak with cheese whiz, provolone, mushrooms and the long hots on the side. It was messy but super yummy. I got a side of fries that were extra well done but I wasn't made at iit. They had a couple of fridges filled with local craft beer. I got the Yuzu ginger cider which paired well with my meal. I tried the slushees and they were strong but delicious. I recommend the pineapple cherry mixture. I would definitely be back. Heads up, there's only street parking so parking could be hard to find.“
“I have been coming here for over 2 years! During the late Spring through early Autumn there are open mic nights with talented musicians. Weekends are often busy and popular social eatery.Outside patio has a view of the Schuylkill River and lots of opportunities to listen and watch birds. The head chef and managers pride themselves on fresh, high quality ingredients, food preparation, kind and patient service. Their servers are always friendly and sweet. Highly recommend! Outside seating is dog friendly!Vegetarian options: Cucumber salad!! Several types of sandwiches and sides.Dietary restrictions: They have options for gluten free, non dairy, egg free, tree nut free, and vegan.Kid-friendliness: Extremely. Lots of seating, outdoor space to walk around and even play, and good for strollers. Some tables are small café style and some are larger for families.Wheelchair accessibility: This café has mostly flat seating area, the staff will help open door but the entrance may be a tad narrow to order if it’s busy.“
“New to the neighborhood, (single dad night off) searched "bars near me" on google and 2 Street Pub popped up first on my search list. I'd never been there on New Years and I typically hit up all of 2 street for New Years Day so I was intrigued. Grabbed 40 bucks cash, left my watch and chain on the kitchen counter, and walked out my front door near 4th and Reed and headed right down to the pub. I've probably passed 2 Street Pub 6 times a week since moving into the neighborhood a few weeks ago. I've always seen a solid local crowd there. That's why this spot peaked my interest. I've never had a bad time at a local bar. It was a Tuesday night and unbeknownst to me there was an open mic comedy night in full swing. I walked in, got a few side eyes, from the patrons as it's a locals spot (NOTE* all patrons were dudes so if you're looking to find your next baby mom, keep going south), but ordered my shot and beer ($11 for jamo and coors!!!!) and found a seat in the corner to listen to the stand up. As I laughed at the jokes, the patrons realized I was just there to enjoy myself and the vibe got chill real fast. I did not stop laughing until I had to go home, I'm serious, the line up was very funny with intelligent jokes. The side eyes I referenced before turned into hand shakes and introductions, and were all from the comics who were about to perform; some of which were well versed in stand up, others just giving it their best, who were probably a little nervous about having to perform in front of a stranger because the space is that intimate. Some moments made me feel like I was in a group therapy session where the delivery was based on a need to fulfill a therapeutic goal. That's not a rip on anyone, that's pure expression and it was cool to see. These guys were true artists, it takes guts to get up in front of people and deliver your stuff...no one disappointed. For a corner bar in South Philly on a Tuesday, this was an absolute treat. The bartender was great, I spent $38.00 bucks (including tip) and went home with a belly full of Irish whiskey and beer and some great jokes to tell friends. I'll be going back next Tuesday a little earlier to grab some food but I'm giving this spot 5 stars. This has been another SDS review, tip your bartenders 25%, tip you servers 35%, and most importantly, order the most expensive thing on the menu, WHY NOT! -SDS- THE MOST EXPENSIVE ITEM ON THE MENU“
“Visited Philly from Detroit to enjoy the local bars and non-tourist neighborhoods. The Green Room was exactly what we were looking for. Clean inside, great conversation from the locals,,, and Cassidy may be the best bartender in Philly… she was exactly what a bartender should be, engaging, kind and entertaining. The rest of the staff was awesome too! Will be coming back for sure“
“Old school dive bar. Nothing fancy. Just a great time with a huge bar, video games, shuffleboard, popcorn machine and a back room for parties. The prices are still old school too! Don't sleep on the wings. They are the best around. The secret is to ask for them grilled!“
“Not sure what happened with the review I left last week so here I go again. This spot is one of my favs. The food never disappoints, especially the French Onion soup. I have never had one anywhere else that even comes close to the Vous! I usually sit at the bar and find the bartenders a pleasure. Although I must say Michele is my favorite. A must stop for anyone when in Philly.“
“Great spot to grab drinks with friends and watch a game. I was blown away by the fully vegan menu offered by Poppy Taco and all the food we had was delicious. We went with some friends who got non-vegan food from the other vendors which they said was good. The only thing that's super weird is that everything is served on paper plates. Not only does that produce a tremendous amount of waste, it also knocks the food experience down a peg. Get some real plates, it'll make a difference!“
“*Winnies Market Review*. I do not post google reviews and believe this is my first one but felt compelled to write a post after seeing the last review by a “Justin” trashing the service of the newly opened Winnie’s Market coffee shop. I just happened to be in the shop at the same time this so called bad service occurred and it’s my opinion that the reviewer had the “attitude” - NOT THE ESTABLISHMENT.As a Manayunk resident, I could not be more pleased and delighted to have a new place to purchase coffee up to 6pm. I can get a coffee way faster in here than any other coffee shop on Main St. Their food to-go is top notch and their Cappuccinos are excellent. All of my other local Manyunkers agree. Please support this local Manayunk business and drop in anytime-they will be glad to serve you.“
“PBR is without a doubt my favorite bar/place to go in Philly. The atmosphere is second to none. The music is fun, and not ALLL country. The staff is great, especially Laura and Joe!!! I have Phillies and flyers season tickets and I go to PBR before every game and usually after too. Same for concerts, and other events down there. It’s also fun to just go there and watch a game or hang out with friends. I could never say enough good things about PBR Philly @ xfinty Live“
“Great music & atmosphere, not exactly a "hood bar" but hood bar adjacent. No 5-stars because they stop serving food too early. We showed up around 11 pm on a Saturday after a gala & wanted wings. The open kitchen was cleaned & vacant. Soooo disappointed! The place was busy, standing room only. Make more money- sell the foods!“
“It was a Thursday wing night, we sat upstairs because it was so crowded, service was good.Food was great, I was able to have food from the fryer which never happens with a shellfish allergy due to cross contamination of friers.Nadia tots and a bacon burger were great. I like that they were not frozen burgers but freshly made.“
