“I just left and I already need more. This place doesn't doesn't just remind you that you love bacon... It It makes you want to love it more. Not to mention, the BBQ. Whoa. The bartenders are friendly and the vibe is right. I'll be back too often.“
“Great food. Best burger I have had HANDS DOWN!!!! Good vibe!!! They have pool here. I believe other bar games. Drink are good. We had the Tiki Tiki cocktail. They have 3 floors I was on the 3rd floor...no elevator but its cool. FYI Don't get too buzzed so u don't miss a step....lol I would go “

“I'm a historian. In my recent researches I found that there were several Catholic churches built in the Philadelphia area that were torn down suddenly in the 1800s and this Applebee's location was built atop one of them. The researches aren't clear why they were torn down so quickly and hidden from the historical record but there was also a scandal of priests studying dark texts at the same time, also hidden from history. When stepping across the threshold I felt a chill run down my spine. I was seated promptly and color drained from everything in my view. My server Nadia was very nice, I appreciated her attentiveness and prompt and courteous demeanor. Stepping into the bathroom I did note that the foundation seemed to be cracking and a curl of a mist casting a sense of gloom was emerging from this chasm.I knelt down and a sulfurous hint of brimstone hit me. I assume this was a plumbing issue, which will probably be resolved soon. Leaving the bathroom and passing by the kitchen door as it swung open, the seating area was struck in the sharp shadows of intense flames dancing across the walls. There were also screams.I can recommend the grilled chicken and shrimp dish, but would not recommend the Mac and cheese dish.“
“The facility is clean. The staff is friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. With 12 simulators using the TrackMan technology, you can get your reps.A full bar and innumerable TVs throughout paired with fantastic food makes for an encompassing experience. To save money look at a membership or packages (seriously I frequent the spot 2-5x a week).“
“I had my 21st birthday party at the Bayou and every single person had an amazing time! The staff is so friendly and was so communicative, really making me feel special and ensuring that the experience was great. The pricing was very affordable and If you are considering doing an event here I would 1000% recommend it! Me and my friends enjoyed ourselves so much we want to do another event there soon :).“
“Had a slice n a cheese steakfood came out fastSlice wasn't heated up n cheese steak very basic roll n meat average n seemed not heated either, most strange bc came out very fasthuge selection of ready pies/slices on display..( Just specify you want Hot food ) if u gobe best to go early in day for slices so not dried up and or order a fresh pie or I'm assuming plain slices get replenished thru out dayPretty lady bartender was friendly and acts as waitress It looked clean n prices average for center city and it's a sports bar too“
“Parking: This is located in Chinatown, so mainly street parking. Be prepared to drive around and look for a spot. There are parking garage around the block because Bar-Ly is located right across from the convention center and diagonal from Reading terminal. This is definitely a to-go place if you and your group would like to find a place to chill or gather to watch a sport game. Not only do they have their own bar, but also have a wide variety of food on their menu! Running from Viet cuisine to sushi to pizza and wings! The vibe is just energetic once you step your foot in, especially during a sport game like the Superbowl! But I would suggest make early reservations during those big game nights. There is also a party room available for guests to book for a party.Food & Drinks: I tried their wings with mango habanero sauce, salmon pizza, and one of their drink with lychee and ginger beer that I can’t recall right off my head. The drink was pretty good. Salmon pizza was wonderful. The wings, on the other hand, I feel are a bit too dry and not enough sauce. Everything else was definitely not bad at all.“
“There wasn't much room and we were just about to leave, but the waitress Azra immediately accompanied us. We drank Watermelon mint, she did her job quickly and was very friendly. We didn't expect to encounter a Turk. I guess he was the only Turk. Thank you for the nice conversation and the nice drinks. The place was very nice in terms of decoration, there are not many hookah places like this around here. Thanks again to Azra, see you again??“
“This was a fantastic experience. The team at 5i was super great, and the bays were a ton of fun! Lots of room to move around as a party. We were able to keep separate tabs. Our waiter Antony was super kind and helpful! I would highly recommend!!“
“I recently stopped in Black Sheep to grab a bite to take home. The bartender was very friendly and very willing to help. The bar was full so I sat off to the side.My beer was very cold which I loved.Food was really good I had a burger and fries.Sadly they were out of tater tots, but overall a great experience.“
“I actually do not usually do restaurant reviews, but was so please with Con Murphy that I felt like I had to share. I feel like there are many restaurants in Philly, and this one deserves more attention. We were day-tripping Philly and enjoy seeking out the local Irish pubs. We were charmed by the vibrant and welcoming atmosphere! It was noisy and small, in a fun and happy way. The TWO bars were well-stocked. We came with the family and everyone was pleased. We started with the Parmesan Truffle French Fries and they were exemplary especially paired with the Aeoli. The blackened Grouper sandwich was "sublime" according to my son who works at a restaurant! My daughter didn't prefer the crust thinness of the flatbread, but enjoyed the potatoe soup. The Irish fare was well done. My son ordered the shepard's pie and my husband and I both ordered the beef stew. I am picky of "Irish Food" bc so many places do not give it the attention it deserves, but everything was prepared beautifully. If you like very rich, decadent broths and hearty, meaty portions, then the stew is for you. The bread it was served with was unbelievably flavorful and had a tender center and crusty exterior. The stew tasted like it had slow-cooked for hours and did not dissapoint. I ordered the "Tullamore Gold" cocktail and it was a tad sweet, but flavorful. I wish I had paired a red wine or whisky with the stew. My husband had a canned apple cider which was tasty.“
“Great smaller venue for meeting up before or after games while in Philly. Food was incredible and surprisingly higher quality pizza too. Service was top too with plenty of staff checking on us. They deserve the five star reviews and quickly becoming a Philly staple.“
“Tuesday trivia night at Tapster is the place to be. The trivia organizers are great. The self service beer machines are super cool and easy to use. Friendly staff. Love that you can bring outside food, but also love that they have popcorn!!“
“We were in town for a concert on Friday night and stayed up on 4th near Arch. We found ourselves walking down to South Street, and did no pre-visit research on where to go. A lot of places are shut down, probably victims of the pandemic. We walked along the street and found Wooly Mammoth, figured it was time to stop. We'd already had dinner, so I can't speak to the menu but stuff being brought out to other patrons at the bar looked good. If you like wings and fries and tots and stuff to go with your beer, you're at the right spot. I'm a fan of craft beer so I like to try the locals. I don't need bud light or sam adams when I'm visiting a city with actual local brewing. We'd been to Yards the day before and I found that the only draught beer they had which I'd never had was Stacy's Mom from Evil Genius. Then I fell back on an old favorite of Magic Hat #9 (classic). We switched to the cider they had (can't recall what it was named) and enjoyed the Islanders vs. Flyers, and the 90s mix the bartender had running on Spotify. Good vibe for us, we're 90s music kids. the vibe felt honest and local, like actual people from this actual neighborhood actually come into this spot. That's always a good sign. Left around midnight to walk back to the hotel. Really good time here at Wooly Mammoth!“
“Fun little dive bar with a huge beer list, ski ball, and pool. I usually come for the food though. They have a built in food truck. The vibes here are super fun and they always have some form of a sports game on too.Vegetarian options: The pesto grilled cheese is to die for!Wheelchair accessibility: No steps, and a handicap accessible bathroom“
“My wife and I went here Saturday night and had a good time. Happen to sit next to the owner at the bar. Nice guy, making sure everybody was enjoying themselves. Food and drinks were good. Going to check out R&B night tonight. D’s Save Vince and Bianca a table.“
“The food was great but more than that the environment created from my server Chrissy was fantastic, her inviting smile immediately set the tone for the level of service my group and I were going to receive. She was not only attentive but more importantly made us feel like valued customers and created a welcoming atmosphere like we had all been friends for years. I will definitely be returning and am hopeful I can get Chrissy or somebody as excellent as her the next time.“
“First time ever being there and was nothing but good vibes!!!! I only got a chicken Ceasars salad but it was delicious (I ate off of my friends plate) I can't wait to go back and explore more!!! Oh and to the group of guys that I interrupted with my dance my apologies but you loved it!!!!“
“What an amazing little place in the middle of the neighborhood. The food was great, the bartenders were attentive, the clientele was respectful. A mixed crowd of families, singles and couples scattered the place on a Sunday afternoon.Drinks and food were well priced too.You should go here!“
“Went here with some friends from Delaware out of town. Great atmosphere and plenty of tables. We went up to the second floor to visit a friend and more of mine. My friends even STILL got a pool game and I was catching up with the homies for a long long minute. Definitely popular and busy but in the best way possible. Hug/tip the bartenders. Solid 9.5/10“
“If a dictionary had pictures and you looked up bar, it would be this. What that means, the prices are good, the service was friendly and accomodating, food is middle of the road, atmosphere is non-existent except for the quality of the people around who were all very nice. Oh and perhaps most importantly, there is a pool table ??“
“Got there after a tour of the penitentiary across the street, for a quick drink before dinner. We sat at the bar. Service was quick and friendly. The atmosphere was good, considering it was a monday at 5! We were a bit hungry and ordered the sprouts from the happy hour menu, and they were warm, tasty and very well seasoned. Great small selection of draft beers, cocktails and hard liquor. Didnt try the mains but seemed good too.“
“Honestly this is a lil hood bar that you have have a good time in. It's across the st from the police station so i feel safe. Some of the bartenders are nice and there is one who is a mean thing omg. Anyway this day my shrimp was gross the beading beneath the fried part was not good. But baby the fried Buffalo chicken wings (fried hard) never fails. The lady in the kitchen knows what's she's doing when it comes to that and they even let you get all flats. Also i love that they have the bar game stillOn the bar one of the last bars who still has the games.“
“NEVER had anything bad from Nitty's. Pizza is phenomenal, Pizzaz fiercely rivals, no I lied, outright beats & corners the market against the usual Pizzaz contenders of South Philly. Owner/operator Frank is a stand-up neighborhood guy who always greets you with a smile and is happy to see you as if no time has passed by since you've last seen each other. I've yet to dine in, so can't comment on the staff other than they're mostly female & very easy on the eyes, lol.Parking: It's street parking at 18th n Moyamensing so there are so many factors regarding parking. But if you're a South Philly native you already know what it's hittin for. But all in all parking shouldn't be an issue. At most you may have to walk a block or 2.Wheelchair accessibility: None that I saw“
“Came for the wings and this place did not disappoint! A typical sports bar and really good food! For the wings, we got the fat daddy sauce and man did they definitely NOT skimp on the size of these jumbo wings! Nice and crispy, lots of meat and great flavors with the sauce. I already know I wanna come back to try more of their sauces. Got some loaded tots and some pierogis as well. Delicious! Sat at the bar, service was great. Will definitely be back!“
“Treat yourself to this place, it's a mixed crowd with young and old alike. The best thing about this place is the food and the Margerita towers. The service can be slow at times but well worth the wait. I can't stress enough how good the sautéed spinach is, and I never even liked spinach. The salmon egg rolls are to die for and just wow. Go here and enjoy, the food the food the food. And did I say the food ????“
“It's a great bar and grill. Family friendly for a meal enough but adult enough to go and watch the game at. 2 good sized bars, 3 outdoor patios/seating areas. They do a lot for the small spot they have. Good food, decent drinks, yeah a good towny bar.“
“A non-pretentious local gem that serves well- prepared casual and comfort foods. Items are reasonably priced and a are a good serving size, so you get your money's worth. Staff is friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. The drinks are good and there is a good beer selection. It's the ideal spot to get food before or after going across the street to Tonewood Brewery.Vegetarian options: There is a veggie sandwich, the nachos can be made without chicken/beef, salads, can be modified.“
“Was here for dinner last night. Our very nice server recommended the Caesar salad w/hanger steak and it was excellent. The Guinness was poured perfectly. My friend enjoyed his French Dip sandwich and he is not easily pleased. There are ample TVs to watch the games and there was a full crowd of patrons and a good vibe.“
“Been here 3 times. First time I had Cheeseburger and fries ( Banging). Told a friend of mine, Hokey. He went 1st Friday in March. He said I was right.Second time I went I brought a young friend of mine studying for the Priesthood. I bought him a Burger and Fries of course I had a Cheeseburger. 3rd time was Wednesday, the usual. Got to watch some basketball talked to guys I never met about Sports, Music and Movies. I struck Gold. It’s around the corner from me. Told people in my building they’re coming often. If you’re in South Philly and going to a game stop in. Why pay those highway robbery prices at the Stadium and Ballfields for tasteless food. Or just go for no reason.Kevin GaGa won’t steer you wrong“
“Cool time hitting up the original Chickie & Pete's! Like the older, smaller, dive bar feel much better than the more modern large scale restaurants. Could be in my head, but the fries seemed fresher and crispier than other locations. Had the roasted pork sandwich - wow, huge and delish! Even grabbed a sweet Chickie's Eagles tee for my girlfriend while there. Oh, and free street parking on Friday early evening was a breeze.“
“Let me dish out the deets on the Hollywood Diner – where the glitz of Tinseltown meets the comfort of classic diner grub. Now, hold onto your hats, folks, 'cause this place is no ordinary joint. It's a swanky oasis in a sea of mundane eateries, with vibes that scream retro-chic meets Hollywood glamour. From the neon lights to the jukebox tunes, every corner oozes with old-school charm. And let me tell you about the squad holding down the fort – the staff? They're the real MVPs. Friendly, attentive, and always ready to serve up a smile alongside your order. Now, onto the main event – the grub. This ain't your grandma's diner fare, folks. This is haute cuisine disguised as classic comfort food. Sure, it might not be your bargain basement breakfast joint, but let me tell ya, every penny is worth it for the quality you're getting.Let's talk breakfast – I went for the classic eggs Benedict, and oh boy, was it a game-changer. Picture this: perfectly poached eggs, velvety hollandaise sauce that'll make you wanna do a happy dance, and ham slices so thick, you'll think you've hit the jackpot. None of that measly paper-thin stuff here – we're talking proper, hearty slices that'll have you singing praises. So, if you're in the mood for a dining experience that's as unique as it is delicious, head on down to Hollywood Diner. Trust me, folks, you won't be disappointed. It's a taste of old-school glamour with a side of culinary excellence – what more could you ask for?“
“We continued our Christmas-themed Tuesday afternoon bar crawl at Finn McCool's Ale House in downtown Philadelphia. The Christmas theme and decorations were excellent, but the drinks were rather pricy, and they didn't serve any food. Make sure you stop in for some great pictures and maybe a boozy hot chocolate, and you can keep the mug, but move on quickly to Philly's other Christmas-themed bars!“
“Small little Irish bar downtown. It's narrow, but there is a second floor with a pool table and dart board for your enjoyment. The service is efficient and friendly. If you're looking for a laid back place to grab a pint, stop by.“
“Cap'N Cats was a Favorite of our family, especially my Dad and mines, when I was a kid in the 70s. I hadn't been there in years. So, on My Dad's birthday I brought my Mom there for Clams on the Half shell, and a Fried Oyster platter. The platters were large in portion. So much so, we had platters for the next day. }“
“Some of the best wings in the city. Decent selection of beer. Golden Monkey is on tap here for $5! You can’t beat that. Great bartenders. Very welcoming atmosphere. Decent pool tables to shoot on. Not the best, but certainly not the worst. They’re a bar, they’re pretending to be a pool hall. If you’re around the area & want to eat great wings, shoot a little pool & drink a little this is definitely the place for you.Parking: Parking is a little difficult here if you can’t find a spot in front of the bar, there are plenty of spots down the road. It is all street parkingKid-friendliness: It is a restaurant but they are bar forward. The bartenders & servers are great with kids but just be aware that you’re in a bar & may hear music with curses & people cursing while watching a game, drinking at the bar or shooting pool. It can get packed when it is busy.“
“Depending on how packed and who's tending bar, the wait time for a drink varies- gotta be patient. The frozen "Henny" (lmmfao) colda--.. that's not Henny.. that's whiskey, trust me, I have my certification. Long story. But TuuuuMmmmm... Other than that- it's definitely a great place to go and have a blast. The Brazilian fiery haired bartender is a must see. She's cool ? Great place to chill out and play pool, if it's not crowded. Highly recommend“
“This place is amazing. I lived in Philadelphia for a few years and would come here fairly regularly. I’ve never had an issue with staff. They’re all very professional, respectful, and kind including the security guards. The owner, Kyle, is such a breath of fresh air. I had an issue at a bar in center city and I remember saying, “Kyle would never!” and walking out. He genuinely cares about his guests which would explain why he hires such professional staff. The food’s really good and I’d never encourage anyone to drink but they do make really good drinks too. They have karaoke on Wednesdays and happy hour’s at the perfect time (6-9). 10/10 would highly recommend. It is more of a college bar so keep that in mind but they welcome all with open arms.“
“Staff was awesome, atmosphere was cozy, and they have the best damn chili I ever had. A great day to get dry and warm up your belly with the best chili you will ever had. Try their fahita salad to go with that chili. It's a 5 star from me.“
“Stopped in for brunch prior to volunteering at the Mardi Gras parade 2/25/18 and had an amazing everything omelet with tator tots! The mimosa (aside from the company of a fun group) was a great way to start the day and the service was awesome! I will be recommending U.S. Hotel Bar and Grill to friends and as the Owner/Travel Consultant of All Places Traveled, LLC, I will also be highly recommending U.S. Hotel Bar and Grill to my client's traveling to Philadelphia!“
“Been here a few times and for a small neighborhood bar, it's really nice inside. People seem more friendly towards one another and the barmaids are really nice! They need a larger space downstairs because you always feel like someone is touching you, when ur walking thru.. food is very good here!!!“
“The place was packed for the Phillys game and they had great music. Fry combo was the best paired with a blue moon. Kids got a cheese steaks, pizza and wings we also got a cutlet sandwich all the food was really food I got a patty melt burger it was not my favorite. I would not get it again. No complaints about the other food. The server was sweet and food was made to order so it came out as it was done.“
“I really like this place. Food is excellent (specifically if you love ENORMOUS burgers), beer is good, and the people are really nice. I've had an order or two messed up a little, but no real harm done and the staff was always super nice and apologetic about it. CJ and Ecks is a big go to for me when I'm in the area. Wish I had gone more when I still lived in the areaParking: It's Manayunk/Roxborough, the parking sucks. It doesn't suck more or less than the rest of the Yunk or anything. Parking in this area just sucks in general.“
“Visited Philly from Detroit to enjoy the local bars and non-tourist neighborhoods. The Green Room was exactly what we were looking for. Clean inside, great conversation from the locals,,, and Cassidy may be the best bartender in Philly… she was exactly what a bartender should be, engaging, kind and entertaining. The rest of the staff was awesome too! Will be coming back for sure“
“Food is really good as was the service, Prices are kinda rough, Myself and my son went for dinner and some games, got a steak, fish and chips 2 apps , 1 soda and 1 water, bill was $114 and then got 2 $40 with a $5 booster play cards, so that came to $96 after activation. So it came to $210 for 2 people. Pricing is really my only gripe and its a small one, I would definately go again and have fun.“
“Small South Philadelphia bar that wouldn't feel out of place for a movie set. It's a great mix of patrons from various age groups and the drinks are reasonably priced. Weekends will have a DJ playing a variety of music. No food but they have no issue with bringing food in from the pizza place across the street. Parking is a bit difficult to navigate but it is worth the time to make a stop in after a game or before a concert.“
“Castle Roxx is my go to stop. Every time I come I have a great experience. All of the bar tenders always are amazing and work so hard to make my experience the best in Manayunk. Eric and Vinny are two of my favorite bar tenders. They make even the slowest nights the most fun. I normally come during the week, as opposed to the weekends, and I never regret it.“
“This place is my preferable place. Of all restaurants I know I like it most. I always suggests to my friends to go to visit this place. when I want to go to a good meal, this restaurant comes straight to my head. Great and food and a large menu.well mannered staff members, and great vibes. Also, the price is affordable. I recommend this place with pleasure.“
