“My only complaint is that the lone worker today, when I was paying with a credit card (without tap) took my card and tried to use tap. Before she took my card I was going to put it into the card processor. When I pointed out that it doesn’t have tap, she (2x’s) typed my card information into the register screen and it was declined (plenty of credit was available because I got gas with it shortly after). I then used my debit card which she just took from me and again tried to use tap (again not a feature on that card either). She was finally able to put my card information for the debit card and it went through. If she had let me put my card in in the first place there would have been no problem with the original transaction attempt. I feel some of the staff might need better/more training on using the register.”

“I stopped in to their retail shop. You would have to know it's there. It's an unassuming tiny little place on a dead end road in an industrial complex. I almost wasn't sure if it was even open. But a nice young man came out when I walked in, and I ordered a 1lb of mixed cookies. He asked what flavors I liked to make sure I got some good ones.

The cookies were all fantastic. Very flavorful without anise or fake almond or whatever it is they usually load Italian cookies up with. I think the best one we had was the chocolate macaroons though.

This is definitely a must-stop bakery any time you find yourself around Hackensack.”

If you want to indulge in an unforgettable gastronomic experience, you have to try the Fresh Striped Bass. I ordered it with spicy sauce, but there are six different flavors to chose from. We also ordered the Sliced Beef with Black Pepper. The beef was so tender and juicy, paired with onions and bell peppers in a savory, black pepper sauce. Then we ordered Dry Pot Cabbage, a mouth-watering Sichuan dish that you have to try. For our last course, we had the Yang Chow Fried Rice, the best I have ever tasted. Thank you, Hot Fish. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, and the staff and service were exceptional. I highly recommend dining here when you are looking for a great Sichuan experience.”

It's terrible, how they reheat and overcook their sauce. But, not this one! This place is the best! By far! Absolutely no heartburn! I have tried many menu items, too. I've been frequently going there, over a year now. Their food is more in the lines of what you'd expect to taste at a fine Italian restaurant. Certainly, not a common pizzeria. Pricing is great, too! This place and the staff of employees, along with the new owner and his kids, deserve every bit of (5) stars! The absolute best around!”

“We've had a frankly difficult few months and decided to treat ourselves to a proper night out and this place ended up being exactly what we needed. From the moment we walked in we felt looked after. The host greeted us warmly, our table was lovely, and the whole atmosphere just put us at ease. Our server picked up immediately on the kind of pace we wanted — slow, relaxed, no rush — and matched it perfectly throughout the evening. She made a couple of recommendations that turned out to be brilliant and never once made us feel hurried through any of the courses. The food was the kind that genuinely lifts your mood. Proper flavours, generous portions, beautifully presented but not so fussy that you can't just dive in. We shared a starter, had a main each, and finished with a dessert we absolutely shouldn't have had room for but somehow found space. Every plate was a winner. The wine was poured with proper care and the bill came at exactly the right moment, not before, not too long after. It was honest and very fair for the experience. We left feeling properly restored. “Had a great experience at EVOLI Pizzeria & Bistro in Hackensack. This place really knows how to do New York-style pizza. The crust has a great balance of crispiness and chew, and they have a really good selection of both classic and creative pies. Their signature pizzas give you plenty of options beyond a traditional cheese or pepperoni.

I also really like the approach they take with the food. You can tell there’s a lot of attention to the dough, sauce, cheese, and ingredients, and the menu has some really interesting combinations without losing that classic pizzeria feel.

The owner was a pleasure to talk to. I really enjoyed our conversation, and it’s clear that there’s a lot of pride behind EVOLI and what they’re bringing to Hackensack.

The fried rice was a bit lacking. Got the kimchi and pork belly variety. The kimchi was not the spicy kind I am accustomed to from other Korean restaurants I've been to. It kinda just tasted like pickled cabbage, which is effectively sauerkraut. And their were only a couple cubes of pork belly. Would definitely not order it again. Not worth the money. Will definitely go be going back for the chicken and lots of other items I am curious about!”

“We had the best time on Saturday 09/26/26 celebrating my sister's 40th birthday! We called in advance and asked if our party of 6 ladies could sit in the largest corner booth. The manager kindly said yes:) We brought our own decorations, a few balloons, favors, cake and silver mini glitter cowboy party hats. The staff was very patient while it took us a few minutes to set up the table. Thankfully it wasn't too busy at 1pm in the afternoon.
*Thanks to our wonderful server Steve for making our time there a memorable one!!! He is such a friendly, personable and fun server, it was a pleasure to see. He went above & beyond, checked on us often and always made sure we had everything we needed. He even wore one of our mini hats the whole time LOL, and took a group selfie with us:). Definitely the best server we've had in our 20 years of going there. And then a large staff of servers and managers came out to sing Happy Birthday to my sister, which she really enjoyed! We walked in on a Wednesday evening & the restaurant was empty except another family, dining in. The restaurant is clean, modern & a minimalist design.
Ordering was easy, we ordered a variety of appetizers, curries, pizzas, desserts & drinks.
The Naan pizzas are my favorite, their curries are good too! Make sure you specify your spice level when ordering.
There is paid street parking, so make sure you bring coins / pay by the app. I believe after 4 or 6pm, parking becomes free. The staff is great, welcoming & very friendly. Do note that their food is 10x better when you dine in. I've ordered delivery many times, & dine in tastes so much better!

“This place isn't fancy at all. It is located inside an office building with a large window that overlooks the Fairleigh Dickinson University Hackensack campus. They serve absolutely delicious, mouth watering kosher dairy Mexican light foods and American style breakfast foods and salads. We've had many of the menu options and everything has been very good. Unfortunately, they close at 4PM Sunday through Friday (closed Saturdays and Jewish holidays) but it's worth hurrying there for an early dinner because the food is so consistently good. (The Oaxaca sopes are out of this world😋!) It's under the reliable hechsher of the RCBC (Rabbinical Council of Bergen County) and a mashgiach is on premises. “Amazing food borrito was delicious. If in hurry I reccomend ordering ahead as food is made fresh. I had breakfast wrap this morning. Excellent taste and quality! Very nice and plenty of seating.”

“I came across this place on my way to the post office. I’ve eaten here 2x now. I love the vegan options. The flavorful samosas(2) that come with a dipping sauce that have a kick to it and are great to start with. The already made stews are served with rice or roti. I chose roti this time. It’s delicious either way. It’s best served hot so eat in the restaurant!
