We had a couple of mediocre experiences here when it was Charlie Browns, and later Bea McNally's. It's nice to see someone finally get it right in this historic and central location in Hackettstown. I had the Tavern Fish and Chips. The cod was tender and and the breading was crispy, particularly liked the tartar. The potato wedges were tasty but I might be tempted to ask for fries next time. Nice ambience and great that had live music on a. Saturday evening. We had a decent sized group of about 12 headed here for beverages. The price for drinks was a bit high and the drinks were low on alcohol (we had a number of shots and I have never ever seen such small shots sold). Bartenders were cordial but it took way too long to get their attention.
