“A bit loud but great food and so many choices! I would say they offer a good price for the quality. The pizza was top notch - fresh ingredients and well made, as were the polish pierogi, much lighter and more enjoyable than what I’ve had elsewhere. Definitely make a reservation. And there’s no signage outside so make note of the street address so you can find the right door (only the number outside). Have a blast there!Vegetarian options: Yes, many!“
“I brought my dog here 2x so far and we absolutely love it here! The food is AMAZING! The staff are super friendly, attentive and go out of their way to get to know you and your pup to make sure everyone is having a great experience. We drive 1hr each way each time just to come here! My 5month old puppy loves coming here and getting the socialization he needs from humans and dogs alike!“
“Was there last night for early dinner and stayed to see the Eagles first TD. Food was fresh and extremely tasty. The vibe here is great. The service was excellent. Our server, Max, was very personable and gives very good recommendations. Max is not the only server like this. It seems to be the culture there. They have a lot of loyal customers. When we left the was a couple looking for a place to eat and watch the game. I quickly recommended Glory. If in Old City and near Chestnut and 2nd give them a try. You won’t be disappointed.“
“Parking: This is located in Chinatown, so mainly street parking. Be prepared to drive around and look for a spot. There are parking garage around the block because Bar-Ly is located right across from the convention center and diagonal from Reading terminal. This is definitely a to-go place if you and your group would like to find a place to chill or gather to watch a sport game. Not only do they have their own bar, but also have a wide variety of food on their menu! Running from Viet cuisine to sushi to pizza and wings! The vibe is just energetic once you step your foot in, especially during a sport game like the Superbowl! But I would suggest make early reservations during those big game nights. There is also a party room available for guests to book for a party.Food & Drinks: I tried their wings with mango habanero sauce, salmon pizza, and one of their drink with lychee and ginger beer that I can’t recall right off my head. The drink was pretty good. Salmon pizza was wonderful. The wings, on the other hand, I feel are a bit too dry and not enough sauce. Everything else was definitely not bad at all.“
“Absolutely thrilled with my recent visit to South Philadelphia Tap Room! The highlight of my meal was, without a doubt, their Tomato Soup and Grilled Cheese Sandwich. The soup was a perfect blend of tangy and creamy, with just the right amount of seasoning to elevate the fresh tomato flavor. Paired with a golden, crispy Grilled Cheese that was oozing with melty cheese goodness, it was comfort food at its finest. The cozy ambiance and friendly staff only added to the exceptional dining experience. A must-visit spot for anyone craving a classic with a gourmet twist!“
“Great atmosphere! The staff was great and service was fast. Even though the tables were close together where we sat, it wasn't a problem because everyone was kind of vibing the same that day and we ended up talking to our "neighbors" quite a bit.“
“delicious food 10/10 all around, we got the sardine board and the fries and the pickles and loved every bite... we got extra bread for the sardine board tho and extra pickle dip for the fries, very glad we did so. and for drinkies we got the #15 carbon copy narragansett lager such a good beer so chocolately and creamy wow? thank you sardine bar“
“5/5 for the happy hour. walk in seating only at the bar, might not have a table for your group if you aren't early enough (like 5 ish). 5 dollar kirin, a huge bowl of fries, decent buns, suboptimal pajeon and dumplings (too oily and no flavor in the pancake). overall everything is sweet and spicy sauces. really a prime place to grab a cold beer and split some snacks, unsure if id go for the actual food at full cost. $35 pp after tax and tip for a beer and honestly a lot of snacks (fried chicken, fries, buns, pancake, dumplings) split with 1 other person“
“Came in to watch the game and was surprised by the food and service. Lo my bartender was very patient and courteous throughout. I had the dry rub ranch wings OMG! Crunchy and seasoned on the outside and juicy on the inside. Great dipping sauce as well which added to the layers of flavor. My burger was the Swiss with bacon and a variety of mouth watery inclusions. Smash burger seasoned just right. I tried the love hazy IPA and it paired wonderfully. I'd definitely recommend and will return and try other items. Thanks Lou!Oh get the fries for sure!“
“Perfect neighborhood gem. Gastropub food is just delicious. Wide variety of food options as well as a terrific beer selection. Through the pub and then a doorway into the "house" next door is a very cozy two floor (maybe three?)experience, a house turned into an eating area, also a surprise pinball machine corner and televisions on both floors. Very unique, very comfortable. You just want to hang there all night as if it were your own house. Love it“
“Cozy, upscale British style pub with a great selection of food! I’ve walked past here a million times, and finally stopped in for lunch with a friend. For apps, we ordered the crab croquettes and cashew hummus. The cashew hummus was very creamy and all the vegetables were delish. The crab croquettes were OK, a little too salty for my liking.I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich for the entree and I don’t typically finish an entire sandwich, but I sure did! The sandwich had the perfect combo of crunchiness with the bread and softness with the tomato compote and avocado. The side salad was a bit bland.“
“The most underrated spot! The staff is always so friendly, the food is always hot and delicious. Drinks are 10/10 AND reasonable priced!! Honestly, can’t recommend it enough.Parking: Street parking, always can find a spot within a block of two!“
“As a vegetarian, I often struggle to find meat-free brunch options that can compare to traditional items. Sidecar Bar is the best brunch i’ve had in Philly! I got the Hippy Benny and it was PHENOMENAL!!! The ingredients were fresh and the potatoes were incredible. I went with a large group and some other favorites were the pancakes, the breakfast flatbread, and the Texan Benny. The atmosphere was fun and upbeat while still remaining casual and family friendly. Our server was friendly and attentive and it was all around a great experience! Definitely make Sidecar Bar your next Philly food destination!“
“On my first ever visit to Philidelphia, I chose to try this place (the nachos looked good on the online menu). When I walked in, the place had an intriguing atmosphere. It was self seating - I didn't see the menus on the table, and the server noticed, so, he grabbed me one and brought over a water, before I even requested anything! I ordered the Nachos with the spicy (not hot, just flavored with spices) chicken - it was So good and the bowl was suitable for 2 or more to enjoy. The plating was intriguing! It was Delicious! While I was eating, the server made me feel welcome, joking that I wasn't the Only one who didn't notice the menus (another party that came in missed them, too!). I returned afew days later with my husband, had to show him some of the city and have him try the nachos - we both Inhaled them! Despite a Large party being there, the server came right over with waters, got our order and had it brought out quickly. We were impressed with the service, despite the large party. I Highly reccomend this place! Try the nachos!! The giant pretzels look delicious, too!“
“I definitely recommend Wolf Burger! I got Fries and the BBQ bacon ranch burger and the flavors were out of this world! Roll was great, the cheese on the burger was melted perfectly, and overall the burger had a really unique flavor! The black and blue burger was super good too! Super happy to have tried this place and definitely will be back!“
“Met up with a friend for dinner and really like the ambiance of this place. Gives a really chill, laid-back vibe and they have some great food and drink choices with friendly staff. I ordered the Grilled Hangar Steak which came with chimichurri and green beans and it was the right amount of food. I feel like all the beers from local breweries are refreshing, but if you’re in the mood for a cocktail definitely try the Penicillin. Look forward to my next visit.“
“Nothing can go wrong woth the seitan wings at 9pm after a movie at the PFS bourse. The place is always comfy thanks to its decor, has a great selection of beers ans their food never disappoints. The music can be loud sometimes but not to the point of making me go away.“
“The food was reasonably priced and very good. The drinks are pretty solid and also very reasonably priced. Server was very nice and willing to ask the kitchen about a friend’s gluten intolerance. Tip: you’ll either need need cash or or Venmo.“
“I visited on a thursday with my buddy who goes often. Being a workday night it seemed pretty active yet still a relaxed environment. Bartenders were very friendly and attentive, additionally the wings were great. Will definitely return.Parking: It is south philly so obviously parking is a bit challenging, but I was able to find plenty of spots about a block and half or so away.“
“If you're looking for a great corner bar with awesome bartenders this is your spot. They know beer and have the best circulating on tap. They have tvs for the sports games and a pool table, and if you bring your own darts, you can play darts.“
“Stopped in for a few drinks during Happy Hour and I only wish we would have stayed. We walked in and were instantly greeted by both bartenders. Both were nice and attended to us well. Had a few beers and had to rush out due to a change of plans. Looking forward to coming back to get the full experience.“
“One of our favorite spots. Great atmosphere and service. Best mussels (white) around. We also love the GOAT burger, nachos, and chicken dishes. Grab the Pot De Creme for dessert. Great neighborhood spot. Plenty of parking and friendly staff.“
“my daughter came in from Miami to see the Phillies play last night was an awesome game today we will be checking out South house I hear it's the best spot in South Philadelphia so I will be coming with my daughter and my son go Phillies hopefully we'll win today and on to the World Series looking for a great bar good people good food and no Riff Raff see you soon !!!“
“Friendly atmosphere, good place to unwind everyone is treated like family. Good safe place to go to have a few drinks. Bartenders are friendly and accommodating. Weather your a New customer as well as regular customers everyone is treated with respect. Highly recommend if your looking to enjoy a night out. Food is great as well“
“My first time here with a few friends. I have been in search of a place for my birthday next month and I am pretty sure I have found it. Good food, the margaritas were perfect (thanks Ray) and our server, Alison was very sweet and attentive. Thanks and see you next month!“
“This place checks off all the boxes. Great staff, great atmosphere and great prices. One of the few places that I will change my schedule or go out of my way for. Today I decided on the Cheesesteak Quesadilla and House Fries served with Spicy Ketchup and Chipotle Mayo. If you are ever in South Philly do not I repeat DO NOT hesitate to stop in! Tell them Bubba sent ya!“
“Been going here for about two years. Delightful neighborhood bar with great prices, friendly staff, good food with a rotating menu (always try the grilled cheese special), and a great tavern vibe. Pool upstairs (if you’re lucky enough to get there first). I’ve since moved out of the neighborhood to Point Breeze, but my friends and I still make the hike over to Watkins at least once a week because that’s how much we love this place. This is the stuff!“
“I love this place. The food is great - I had ricotta ravioli in brown butter sage sauce - delicious. Friday and Saturday nights can be crowded with a great mix of people - but they do have a side room in case the energetic mood is too much.“
“Went here 8th April 2024 for breakfast, we had Philly Cheesesteaks with fries, very tasty. You can't go to philly and not have one. However good the food was, its great, the service was spot on.Jordan is a massive part of this, his detail and attention to his customers is superb, also a shout out to Jack also. Both a credit to your bar. They make your success possible.“

“Great bar with a welcoming barkeep that made you feel right at home so well done I kept looking to see where the bar abruptly cut from warm woodtones to cold gray studio concrete where surely the live studio watches.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly as long as they are 21+ and don't randomly use utensils as weapons ! Chucky cheers!“
“Came here to support my son who was doing a hard core metal event in the back where all the proceeds were being donated to a local harm reduction community resource. I had some of my son's Buffalo wings which I felt needed to be a little more crispy but overall good. It's a nice atmosphere and the service was good.“
“Fantastic. The Buffalo Brussels are ridiculously good. The pickle chips fab. The grilled cheese and tomato soup was awesome as was the short rib sammie. Service great! Prices right! Best wrap around bar and atmosphere around!Vegetarian options: They recently added more veggie items and we’ll def be back as a result!“
“Really great cozy atmosphere and service. The waitress we had was very nice and the food came out reasonably quickly when they were at a high volume.4/5 Kale Salad - really good!3/5 Grilled cheese sandwich - lacked some flavor and cook time2/5 Brussel sprouts - needed more cook time“
