“Small, casual French dining experience. Delicious food. Fair prices compared to other gourmet French options in the area. The escargot was amazing. We had an incredible crab du jour that was one of the specials for that night.Though we didn't have a reservation, we were given a table since we arrived before 6pm. Wonderful and attentive staff.“
“The food and service were great, and for that reason my wife and I would go back. Prices were a little high in my opinion, but worth it for special events. I also appreciated the little details: it was my birthday, and instead of the traditional cake they put a candle on a plate with the phrase “happy birthday “ beautifully written on it with chocolate.“
“An exceptional dinning experience, but getting in is a bit tricky. The restaurant opens advanced online bookings in intervals of two week blocks, on the Sunday prior. There are two seatings each night, 6:30pm and 8:30pm. If you can’t get a reservation for the released block time, you can request to be added to the wait list. That’s exactly how I received my dinning spot. The experience is intimate, warm and friendly. It truly is like being invited to a friend’s house for dinner, except your friend won’t be serving you these yummy dishes. The food creations are amazing and the courses numerous. The chef announces each dish before it’s served, explaining the ingredients and inspiration. They also provide an extensive wine list and delicious craft cocktails. Highly recommend!“
“Celebrated our 5th anniversary here tonight while visiting Philly. Beautiful ambiance and impeccable service. Rebecca our server was kind, knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make our experience great. We did the Chef’s which was seasonal, thoughtful and delicious. Each serving was creative and intriguing. Compliments to Chef Kevin McWilliams. If you live in or near the Philly area please give this place a try!“
“We made a 7 man reservation at 9pm for I and a friend’s birthday. We enjoyed a chefs tasting menu since it was so late and, from that, I can say that every dish here is made exceptionally well. Every morsel of food was an amazing experience and a blend of complex flavors. The pasta and protein was hearty and cooked to perfection, and the desserts were phenomenal. The fusion of savory and sweet is utilized masterfully at Chez Hansi, in a way I’ve never never experienced before. I ofttimes had to look at the kitchen in shock, since I couldn’t believe that the meal was coming from one (incredibly skilled) chef in a home sized kitchen. This place is an experience, and anyone looking to have exceptional food should be excited to eat at Chez Hansi. Maybe even honored.“
“Atmosphere and service were A+. We did the tasting menu and maybe that’s where we went wrong. Portions were super small and dishes were okay. I’m not looking for buffet size portions but seldom have I experienced a tasting menu where I was left feeling unsatisfied and wanting more. We’ll probably try one more time and go the entree route.“
“Our waitress was phenomenal, and the food was perfect. The stuffed crepe’s texture and richness was amazing. Our rosy chicken was so lovely, the mango spread and truffles were wonderful accompaniment. And the financier for dessert was truly incredible. We will definitely be returning!“
“Came here on a weekday and it was bustling even before noon. You order first at the front and then go grab a seat. Then they bring your order to the table. We got the afternoon high tea and the croque madame with Moroccan mint tea. Everything was so good. We especially loved the croque Madame. The macarons from the high tea had just the right amount of sweetness and is super soft so you know it has been freshly made.Parking: There’s free parking on the street if you are able to get one. Easier to find on a weekday than weekend. Otherwise there are parking garages nearby.“
“Mabu is a neighborhood gem with intimate ambience, incredible food, and just a real sense of taste in everything from the decor to menu curation. It’s a French countryside vibe… and extremely affordable. BYOB helps. The sheppards pie, duck confit, ratatouille, and omg the BANANA PUDDING! I secretly don’t want to tell people about it, so it can remain in this state of perfection for my family’s personal use… but I also hope they stay open and need more foot traffic! Food takes a while to come… but so what? This place is for lingering and enjoyment.“
“I have only good things to say about this place. I thought at first it was a little odd to have steak tartar served with fries but the pairing was actually really good! Everything was amazing. I have never had such a complex gnocci dish and it's probably the best I've ever had. The scallops were perfect. Mussels, snails... all of it. Everything was just amazing; I cannot stress that enough. I can't wait to go back!“
“The food was delicious, albeit pricy, and was neatly complemented by the DJ set as part of their spring happy hour celebrations. I enjoyed just about every part of my experience, aside from moderately slow service. I'd still recommend this hotel-lobby-bar to anyone looking for a lightly upscale good time.“
“Unbelievably good. The food is fantastic and the service is even better. We had a wheelchair in our party and were well accommodated. Highly accessible spot.Wheelchair accessibility: There's a ramp in doors allowing you to get to any seating area.“
“A neighborhood staple, and a great example of how a cultural melting pot like South Philly offers a cross sample of delicious food from different parts of the world. Neighborhood family-owned and operated. The sausage egg and cheese croissant and fruit pastries are a “
“This place has the best cozy vibe in the winter. Perfect for a date night, especially if you're celebrating something. I loved the tasting menu. Everything was delicious and felt very fancy. The cocktails were also delicious and our server was amazing. The only qualm I have is that it was pretty pricey.“
“I hardly ever contribute to Yelp ...which isn't cool since I use it all the time. The reason I am writing a review is because I didn't see anyone mention the steak frites. The steak and au poivre sauce were really good, but the frites were absolutely incredible. I can't stop thinking about them. They are reason enough for us to go back again as soon as possible. It's a nice modest little place that doesn't have a ton of appetizer options or beverage choices but those fries were that good. I would have them with EVERYTHING...“
“I can't believe this is the first time I came to this charming little French spot. They have a wonderful varied selection of sandwiches, salads, soups, and quiche. There's also a Basque corner on the menu. The services cheerful and relaxed. Everything about my experience was perfect. Very laid-back and lovely“
“What a really great spot. We came for a work dinner, not knowing what to expect, and it could not have been a nicer evening. The food was fantastic, from the very first appetizer to the delicious dessert cups at the end. The service was even better. The people were really lovely and the ambiance was warm and intimate. Perfect night. Thank you!“
“Wagyu for two is worth every penny and the drinks were fantastic. Perfect for a date night only critique was the charcuterie board for two can either be cheese or meats, wish you could do both. Reserving a table through google was easy and fast. Will be coming again.“
“Christos was friendly, exceedingly knowledgeable, efficient, and responsive. He also provided great appetizer and cocktail recommendations. The crab cake entree and the burger were delicious. Kudos to the chef and the entire team for a memorable experience!“
“I have been to Profi’s Creperie several times and have not been disappointed once!!! My favorites tend to be the sweet crepes but the savory ones are also excellent here. The service is friendly and quick, I would definitely recommend giving this place a try!“
“Went to the open bar for the grand re-opening and the bartenders were attentive and a pleasure. The DJ played a good mix but the "dance floor" was a bit small especially with "VIP booth" within the area. Overall a good space.“
“Second time coming here because the vibes are relaxed and cute surroundings! Had some amazing orange wine with baked Brie, galettes and creme brûlée. Everything was amazing and I can’t wait to come back for more! Our server Sam was an absolute gem as well and took great care of us. 10/10 will be back for their wine selection, service, and small plates.“
“We had two dinners and three breakfasts here during our recent stay. It is pricey by our standards, but overall was very enjoyable. I had their flatbread pizza one night and their French onion soup along with grilled sourdough the second night. Both were excellent. My wife got their chicken breasts the first night and salad with grilled shrimp the second night . In both instances both instances the protein was charred and a bit too dried out. The service was spot on with servers morning f and evening g remembering us and previous days desires - fantastic. Breakfasts were amazing- wife went w omelette each day and I sampled their pork roll on brioche twice and French toast once- all excellent.“
“The food was delicious. The appetizer was diverse, the beet salad was great. The winter squash cream soup my guest had was also good. The crab sandwich with the side salad was really tasty. The dessert was wonderful. Highly recommend this restaurant.“
“I've always wanted to go to afternoon tea and Chez Colette did not disappoint. From the selection of teas to the scones, tea sandwiches, and desserts, everything was delicious. The staff was very friendly and outgoing. The ambiance was pleasant. I highly recommend going here.“
“The pastries are amazing 100% of the time and the entrees are great 90% of the time. The seasoned fries are really good, same with house salad dressing. And literally any of the pastries you cannot go wrong. I don't love the house drip coffee, but that's a personal preference thing. Espresso drinks are great! The listed hours are never correct so I'd call before you show up, especially evenings.“
“One of my favorite bars in the city. The food is so good here. Drinks are amazing. If you're a beer drinker, then you may be disappointed as they don't keep beer on tap. It's bottles and cans only. It's a pricey place so going during restaurant week is a good option if you're watching your budget. Service is always exceptional. I'd highly recommend checking them out.“
“We went there for the first time tonight which happened to be during restaurant week. We ordered from the prix fixe menu with the 3 course meals. It was the most delicious food I have ever had in my life. The service was impeccable. It was definitely a 10/10!!!“
