“I always enjoy my visits to Sanook Thai. The food is absolutely wonderful, the staff are friendly and the atmosphere is lovely. It's a restaurant where you can talk and not noisy like a lot of restaurants. The outdoor patio is lovely in warm months. The back dining room is nice if you have a small group...perhaps up to 10. I definitely recommend this wonderful restaurant.Vegetarian options: Most dishes have the option for tofu as the protein choice“

“Took a friend out for lunch for her birthday. We shared the shrimp and crab roll and I got the Pad Khing with tofu, and opted for the soup. My friend got the green curry with tofu. Everything was delicious! Next time I’ll ask for more spice. Great lunch price point as well.Vegetarian options: You can get tofu with any dish as the protein.“

“Having watched Feed Phil on netflix, we wanted to give this place a whirlas we were traveling through Philly and it is definitely worth the stop. Food was fantastic with many unique options. The only difficulty we found was determining where the parking is located in reference to the restaurant; especially with being from out of town ( i highly suggest a map or an actual address to put into gps).“

“I've been here twice and I plan on going regularly to get my Thai food fix. The food has been consistent and delicious - Perfectly sweet and spicy. The chef really knows how to season the food and serve a great meal. Additionally, the owner Tee is very welcoming and a pleasure to talk to! Highly recommend if you're looking for a Thai restaurant to dine in, whether you live around the area or just passing by.“

“Nice atmosphere, the waiter was really attentive, lots of options on the menu and the food came out quickly and tasted amazing. I also loved that they had a lot of different mocktails on the menu. I got Dan Dan noodles and the sunset marteani and everything was so good. Would definitely come again to try more of their “

“Absolutely devoured our meals. This spot was such a great find with decent size portions and flavorful options. Ordered the corn cakes to start with which were delicious and I loved the small salad that it came with. My friend ordered the basil fried rice which I wasn't as big of a fan for since it was a tad spicy and seemed heavy handed in the spices. I don't believe they asked for the spice levels on any of the dishes we ordered either. I am still dreaming about my soup noodles I ordered. I loved how accommodating they were when I asked for a side of chicken since I wanted to share with my vegetarian friend. They came out with this huge bowl of ground chicken. The soup was flavorful and mild seasoning and not spicy for me and the noodles were cooked to perfection. We were so full we didn't have room for dessert - next time! I'll be back.“

“This place is just recently opened and received pretty good reviews, so I decided to try it out.everything we ordered was tasty with a generous portions, but the flavor was just too sweet for me and my boyfriend. I know Thai food is sweet, but this is another level of sweet. And the coconut noodle soup, it has no flavor and tasted so coconuty. It would have been better if they use rice noodle or glass noodle instead of vermicelli noodle. The ambience is plain, but it looks new and clean. The color of the building looks unattractive in my opinion.Service is good, but it takes awhile for the food to come out. They seem to be more busy with takeout orders.Overall, a decent Thai food with good portion and reasonable price. Tip: pay in CASH, you’ll get 5% off and they also accept Venmo.“

“Food was very good and we would return for the food again. However, service was sporadic. One entrée was brought out first second entrée brought out maybe five minutes later. Waited a little too long for our drinks to be served also. Service was friendly and courteous and stress will be going back. The food was very good.“

“What can I say besides my meal was soooo delicious. I got the Chicken pad ga prow with a fried egg on top. I definitely think I may have gotten it too spicy but nonetheless it was very delicious & the Thai iced tea was the perfect drink to cool off the spice in my mouth. I haven’t stopped thinking about this meal or the tea since I tasted it!My friend got a fried rice and the Thai iced coffee which were both equally delicious. (I didn’t catch pictures of her dish)Our server was a young lady who was very kind and had a pleasant disposition. I will definitely be returning here in the near future.“

“I love me some Papaya Salad, it did not disappoint. I also had the Pineapple rice with Chicken and it also was delicious. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.k“

“I am so happy this place opened on 2nd street!! Everything my man and I ordered had such tasty and unique flavor. We ordered the drunken noodles (which I was so excited about and met my expectations), tofu fried rice, crab rangoon, and a few sushi rolls. My man usually says his food is fine, however, he said this place is BANGIN which amazed me. Atmosphere is gorgeous. Service is so sweet and kind although I do think our waitress could have been a bit more attentive to details like water refills, empty plates, etc…I didn’t even mind though because she was so sweet and amazing in every other way. I can’t wait to try more items on the menu and am glad nolibs finally has great sushi!!!!“

“Diving into Golden Triangle unveils not just a meal, but a passport to a culinary expedition specializing in the Southeast Asian flavors of Thailand, Malaysia, and Myanmar. Tucked away in the heart of Philly, this humble gem offers an intimate escape to distant lands with its quiet, casual ambiance and a cozy dining room that boasts no more than eight tables. Our adventure began with the Malaysian classic, Roti Canai -- a delightfuly crispy, flaky, chewy marvel that serves as a prelude to the symphony of flavors awaiting us. Paired with a rich curry chicken potato dip, this dish was a standing ovation in the making. Then came the Sambal Shrimp, a bold ensemble of shrimp reveling in a spicy brown sauce, creating a festival of taste that had every fork in the room longing for an encore. The Beef Rendang, while a masterpiece of flavor and tenderness with its slow-cooked, aromatic curry, left us longing for a second act, as the disappointing portion size was more of a soliloquy than a full-fledged aria.Despite the small dining room, Golden Triangle played the perfect host to our group of six (including a baby car seat), accommodating us at their sole large table--a testament to their ability to harmonize space and service. While the Mee Goreng and Penang Char Kway Teow flavors were well balance and added depth to our culinary journey, both dishes lacked a bit of the smoky "wok hay" that I was yearning for. The Burmese Kimchi introduced a zestful twist to the meal as it was our first time trying any Burmese food, but it wasn't particularly memorable. In the end, the Roti Canai and Sambal Shrimp emerged as our favorites of the night.Overall, Golden Triangle is more than a dining destination; it's a quiet nook where flavors dance and diners are invited to a show that tantalizes the taste buds and warms the heart. With its intimate atmosphere and welcoming vibe, it stands out as a beacon for those seeking an immersive culinary experience in Center City. Here's to more explorations at this quaint culinary corner, where the world feels both vast and intimately close, all within the confines of its quiet, casual dining room.“

“The smell of food lures you in to the welcome atmosphere. I ate the Spicy Basil Fried Rice with Chicken as my protien. If you are on a date this is perfect if both like spicy. I wasn't expecting the portion to be so big. Very surprising gem in Kensington. Nice chunks of chicken as well. I will be sure to try the mega popular soup when I return. After eating from this place, now the only Chinese food I will be eating is General Tso"s Chicken or Shrimp. Awesome eating.Vegetarian options: You can also request no protien for the fish specialty dishes as well.“

“I ordered take out so I can’t truthfully comment on atmosphere but this was the freshest Thai food I’ve had. The vegetables were not cooked to death and didn’t taste like they came from a frozen veggie mix bag. The strawberry crepe was unexpectedly delicious. They also packaged my food up so nicely as well which I really appreciated. Will definitely be dropping my previous Thai take out restaurant and using Pinto Thong Thai from now on!!!“

“Just finished eating take out from this location and it was phenomenal. My food tasted clean and fresh and it was reasonably priced. I ordered drunken noodles mild and my partner got the same but medium and it was very spicy so I recommend mild if spice gets you. But overall I'm very satisfied with my service.“

“In the world of Thai food, this place is at the top! Deliciously wrapped spring rolls with fresh veggies, delicious curry with touches of coconut, and wonderfully flavored Thai tea with a fresh flowery flavor (really called the Iced Green Tea Latte, but it's basically a Thai Tea!). All food is cooked perfectly crisp and cooked to the optimal crispness and temperature--no soggy noodles. I personally love all their dishes especially the curry puffs, a light and yummy pastry and a light sweet sauce for dipping. Their seating is comfortable and their center tables have a half booth type setting. The music isn't too loud or anything so you can hear your conversation. I like the openness of the restaurant with the high vaulted ceilings. Their service has always been great for us. We haven't had any issues and the food comes out fairly quickly. Sometimes they take a while bringing the check out.“

“Such friendly service and food was delicious! Can be more spicy but if you ask they can give you their homemade crushed red chillies. “My time at this restaurant was excellent. I enjoyed the well-made food and the ambiance of the place. This was my first time coming to a restaurant that allowed you to bring your alcohol to the place, and I loved it.Additional Note:For spice enthusiasts, this restaurant offers unique flexibility. You can adjust the spice level of your dish on a scale of 1 to 5, allowing you to truly customize your dining experience.I recommend getting it at levels 4 or 5 for those who like spicy food. I asked for a level of 3 for spice, and the food tasted mild.“

“This was a surprise on our 5th night in Philly. We had a group of small plates. Pork dumpling in chili oil, glazed sting beans, Indian pancakes with curry, peking duck buns, and Singapore noodles. If the food is this quality all the time, they have hit a home run. Add in the excellent drinks menu with well crafted alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, and there is nothing to fault here. Would definitely come back.“

“Excellent Thai food. We ordered chicken spring rolls and chicken satay for appetizers. Spring rolls were crunchy and flavorful and the satay was spicy and sweet. The chicken Pad Thai was very tasty and the presentation was beautiful. Just don’t sit by the door if it’s cold out, customers tend to leave it open. They could benefit by putting a automatic door closer on that door.“

“The salmon was really tender and delicious. The rice however was really mushy and grainy? This was my first time trying Thai food so maybe that’s how it’s supposed to taste. “Super nice staff, friendly and attentive. Decided I needed a spicy hot soup of something before hitting the theater tonight, so I remembered this place not far from the office and en route to the Academy of Music. Tom kha soup hit the spot. Next up was the appetizer salad of yum woon sen, glass noodles that came with shrimp and chicken and just the right hit of pepper and spice with a splash of lime and citrusy flavors. Lovely and easy.“

“Ordered the coconut salmon and it did not disappoint. Incredible sauce with a perfectly cooked piece of salmon. The spicy flavoring really gave it a unique kick. Absolutely delicious, only thing that would have made it perfect is that I would have liked slightly more rice to balance out the sauce-heavy dish.“

“Checking out my new neighborhood and came across this Thai restaurant when I was getting my hair done next door. The restaurant is super cute with cute bamboo lamps. The server came out quickly to order my food and food came out very fast. I ordered the shrimp satay and the Thai Basil Chicken. Disclaimer, the shrimp satay was delicious but came out with the shell and tail on and the shell was hard to take off but the sauce on the shell was delicious. It came with a mint sauce that was tasty too. The Thai Basil chicken was also delicious - there was some part of my dish that was cold while the other parts were hot - not sure why. But the food was tasty. I wish I got to try other things like the pad Thai, but I will be back!“

“I've heard good things about this spot before and one of my friends had been here once before too. It's a very casual dining spot. The food came out pretty quickly and the portions were huge. “I have ordered from here for delivery more than once and it's phenomenal. Perhaps they do more business that way. Went to the restaurant for a sit down lunch and the food was excellent, as always. The service was really lacking. It wound up being a two-hour lunch, not because my friend and I were being leisurely, but because we couldn't get the staff's attention. Will keep eating their food, but will order for delivery again.“

“First time ordering from Bangkok City! I had the crispy duck in a basil red curry sauce. Back story, I use to live in center city and use to get this dish at Erawan in Philly. When I moved to Jersey it’s been difficult to find a Thai restaurant not alone my favorite Thai dish. The couple places I tried didn’t measure up to Erawan and was a disappointment. I am pleased to say that I finally found my duck! A 25 minute drive but well worth the trip! Also great customer service was a plus!“

“Asian Bamboo is our favorite Chinese restaurant. The food is always cooked perfectly & tastes delicious. The customer service is amazing as well! We forgot to ask for one of the items to be prepared a certain way when we placed a recent take out order. We called them to ask if it was too late to get our item changed. They were gracious & understanding. They prepared our item just as we asked and it was super yummy!“

“Why do Thia restaurants always claim Japanese fist in their name? I learned much conversational Japanese while training with Hikaru Nakamur and am almost certain no one here speaks it. I notice the same thing with Pakistani restaurants, they always put Indian in their name first.“

“Located on the main route through Moorestown it was a very nice space to enter and be greeted with wonderful aromas. Started with the Chinese pizza. The meat was tender and an explosion of flavor. The ingredients seemed very fresh. The Bean curd with Szechuan sauce was very excellent. The veggies were crisp and the sauce was a good proportion to the rest of the dish. The owners were very friendly and made sure we were taken care of. “This is an update on my past takeout experience. It's usually bustling here weekends and late nights and but I managed to get a pleasant server with my own table on a Sunday evening by chance. The food is always good and affordable with a great selection of dishes but not the usual overwhelming menu which I appreciate. The green curry dish and Tom yum soup are my favorites as well as special Thai noodle dishes and of course their house 3 course fried (or boiled) chicken with ginger rice and radish side soup. So affordably priced and great for lunch or supper, but do expect a wait to be seated - it's a small local joint but mixed crowd. Only street parking on busy Race Street between 9th & 10th!“

“My boyfriend and I went to visit the restaurant two days ago and decided to do a review. as soon as we walked in, we were immediately greeted by the owner and another associate. The owner brought us to a quiet section and was very quick with grabbing us some waters to start off with. The server came over with some hot tea and asked us if we had any questions about the menu. The seats were comfortable and the restaurant was clean and comfortable. You can tell that the owner enjoys seeing the community in his restaurant as he made his rounds around the place. We did put a order in for steam dumplings and pleasantly surprised by not only the price but the taste of them. We also ordered the fried wings and they were hot and perfectly seasoned for dinner. We ordered the triple combination that came with fried rice and it was a perfect size to split between two adults, featured a beef shrimp and a chicken dish. We both enjoyed the beef and shrimp but the chicken with peas wasn't our favorite. The chicken surprisingly didn't have as much flavor as the rest of them.“
