“*apologies in advance for the poor quality photos - the lighting wasn't conducive to capturing how brilliant and beautiful these dishes were. I was a bit hesitant going in as there were a few mixed reviews, and of course paying $145 pp, you want to be blown away. I had recently watched the Chef's Table episode on Dan Barber and was intrigued on the vegetable focus, farm to table tasting menu at Family Meal. Also, with the daily menu change you simply do not know what you'll be served. 2 hours later - I was blown away and amazed with the entire meal. The veggies served were unlike any veggies I have tasted before. The entire meal from start to finish was enjoyable. In addition, I was surprised how much fish and meat was served (for those worried about the lack of protein). Highly highly recommend this place. Well deserved Michelin Star, and of course the service matches that distinction. Honestly surprised this place isn't as hyped as it is.“

“Revisited MT after a few years on my birthday eve. The 4 of us having recently been to Balthazar, were keen compare and contrast their sister restaurant. First of all, walking in you're greeted by the hostess and offered to check in your coat. The tables are set up in classic French bistro style, which is to say close to each other but not too close where comparatively Balthazar feels claustrophobic. Here the staff is familial and eager to make you feel like a regular. We started off with a round of martinis which albeit good were not amazing. Blue cheese stuffed olives felt chalky and martini wasn't dirty like requested. We got 2 orders of French onion soup and 2 brioche with seared foie gras. Both were tasty and fairly indistinguishable from Balthazar's . Mains were 2 steak frites which we upgraded to rib eye for around $10 more. While the steak was good it was on the thin side and some cuts felt chewy. Frites were spectacular and perfectly crispy and seasoned. Other 2 orders were beef bourguignon with potatoes which my guests raved about. We finished with flawless grand marnier souffle which arrived piping hot and topped off with generous pour of said liquor. Despite a few misses with Martini quality and occasionally absent minded waiters, we virtually closed the place and were never rushed to pay and leave.“

“This was everything you wanted in a dinner experience. For starters there is something fun about walking the graffiti lined streets of the LES into an unexpected fine dining experience. The staff from our actual waitress to the Som to the people delivering our food were personal and fun and added to the experience. One of the owners (Raymond) even came around to chat. The food was outstanding; prepared to perfection but also taking risks which I love to see. At $112 the tasting menu is very reasonably priced for Manhattan and what you get. Instead of making the price unattainable they offer add ons if you want them. We got the caviar hand roll which was decadent and delicious but the tasting menu is great on its own as well. I’m already planning my next visit and will be rotating this in as one of my faves.“

“Tried the TikTok viral restaurant. It used to be a Michelin one-star in 2021 and 2022. Although it has lost its Michelin star last year, I still think it’s my favorite Italian restaurant in NYC so far. Had a fantastic experience here! The salad turned out to be a game-changer. As someone who typically shies away from salads, Don Angie's version won me over with its unique flavors and freshness. Each bite was a testament to the restaurant's commitment to excellence.Don Angie lived up to its viral acclaim. My friend and I walked in at 9:15 pm, and we got seated in 20 minutes!! Strongly recommend this way of dining.“

“If you want a delicious burger, that’s the place. Excellent service by the stuff at Au Cheval, knowledgeable of their menu and very friendly. The burger obviously it’s a must, the salad is fresh and full of flavor, the wings are incredible with a bit of a kick (wet towels provided). I also recommend the bone marrow, very delicious.“

“Gramercy Tavern was one of the best dining experiences we've had. The ambiance, energy, decor, and professionalism of the entire staff was exceptional. Our food + drink were outstanding too -- you can tell the quality & intentionality that went into every starter, the precision with the burger, the dessert spread, and the seasonal cocktails. William (GM) made us feel so welcomed + we couldn't have asked for a better experience. We will definitely be back!!!Dietary restrictions: Gluten-Free VERY accommodating“

“It is a small and unique fusion Japanese restaurant.LINGO BEEF PIE, it's beef pie. It's so delicious when eaten soaked with the bread we ordered together, and it's fantastic with a glass of wine.CRISPY CAULIFLOWER, white brucoli. The seasoning was a little bit of Kkanpunggi sauce with a hint of Japanese pickled ginger... Oh~??????I ordered HOKKAIDO MILK BREAD... I ordered this to eat with beef pie! So delicious potato bread??Everything was really delicious!andI ordered a special dessert that wasn't on the menu... Sour, refreshing and sweet, it cleanses your mouth properly...(My friend who went with me likes the Chinese style soup... but he said it's not delicious! Please note)If you like Japanese-French fusion, this is perfect??????“

“I would give this place 5 stars if it wasn't for the fact that the vibe = blaring pop music. The food and plating is out of this world, but we could barely hear the server explain our dishes to us. If this is an elevated dining experience, then why am I listening to Justin Bieber and The Weeknd? I don't need to hear an autotuned artist sing about how they feel most authentic when they're high while paying that kind of bill. When your customers are adults, maybe treat them that way?“

“What a gem! I stumbled upon this restaurant on a whim an had no idea what I was getting myself into. I went during off hours so it was not as packed, but from other reviews, it seems like you'd be better off making a reservation esp if going for dinner. The branzino I had from the brunch menu was not just fish. It was a work of art. It was so perfectly crispy on the outside and oh so soft on the inside. I also feel like it's easy to overly salt fish in general, but the branzino was just perfectly salted and it went so well with the sauce. The sauce that came with the branzino was spinach-based and heavenly, and I almost licked it off my plate. The staff were super friendly and personable too. They checked in multiple times and made sure everything went smoothly. Can't wait to be back to try their dinner menu!“

“The place is beautiful and very well decorated. We were there for Saturday morning brunch. I recommend the American breakfast which is well served for the price. The meat and potatoes are well seasoned. The bread basket is a little expensive for what’s inside, especially for a French person :)“

“I've been wanting to try this place for months and made time on this trip. Beautiful bar with an inviting and helpful staff. It was a Monday afternoon, so not too busy. The selection of beer was really good with a solid HH (perfect if you want to try a more expensive brew).“

“TL:DRWe had a phenomenal Time and it's worth every penny. However, be careful what table you get.The long version:The food was superb! Seriously, many of our friends kept asking if it was "worth it" e.g. we all were assuming you pay more for view then for food quality: well, Not so!My wife's lobster-dish was over the top succulent. And I have to rate The Peak's Foie Gras appetizer as one of the best I've eaten in a long time.Service was very good: our server was very cool and supportive and everyone very attentive. Great staff.Lastly: our table (we got lucky, it was an "end unit” of sorts, e.g. 3 seater table for a couple) was very very nice, not squished into between two other tables and we BOTH could enjoy the view. However, now that we're aware of seating arrangement, here’s one advice:IF you sit at the window and you get a "real" 2 seater table e.g. squished in between two other 2-seaters, I now realize: that's a raw deal! One person sit's with the back to the window! Only one person gets to see the view.I get it that The Peak wants to maximize occupancy but.. had we been gotten that squished 2 seater at the window, we'd be bitter disappointed:The neighbors are very close, you can overhear every word on each side, and you better like the other couple(s) since you borderline make elbow contact. And did I mention: one person would not get the view. And one more thing: don't stress arriving before sunset, the sunset is "on the other side" e.g. you wouldn't see any sunset. You do get a nice dusk-night effect with lights "coming on".Overall: Great view, great food, great value, we def. would like to visit again!“

“This was our second outstanding dinner at Union Square Cafe in the last month. As with our previous dinner, tonight’s dinner at USC was superb in all respects. The food was delicious - from the scallop dish (created in honor of the renowned Paris bistro L’ Ami Jean), pristine Tuna Crudo, decadent Arroncini, Steak Tartare, delicately cooked Cod in an aromatic shellfish broth and a rich breast of Duck. The performance of the USC kitchen was impressive; there was not an off note in the entire dinner.Union Square Cafe revolutionized “hospitality” in the restaurant industry. Tonight’s service was a reflection of this seminal service ethos. The service provided by Bob Yee was wonderful. Mr. Yee personifies the legendary warmth of service which was the foundation of this iconic, ground breaking restaurant four decades ago. Under the watchful eye of GM Mike Pernicano and long time team members such as Mr. Yee , USC remains a New York treasure. It should be noted that the USC wine list remains one of the City’s finest, with carefully curated selections from across the globe. The USC wine list is fairly priced (as it has been since the restaurant shocked the industry with its groundbreaking focus on artisanal producers from France and Italy). Such consumer friendly pricing stands in contrast to the predatory wine markups prevalent throughout the restaurant landscape.“

“We were staying at Arlo SoHo while in New York and we hadn't booked anywhere to eat on our last night so we decided to eat at Lindens in the hotel. My wife had the pasta pomodoro and I had a cheeseburger with some fries on the side to share. All of the food was so tasty and the mocktails were fantastic as well. Our waitress was attentive but also gave us plenty of space so we could enjoy our final night in NYC. Very highly recommend this place!“

“The Noortwyck is excellent. It's a rare restaurant that's elegant without being stuffy, that executes perfectly without showiness. It just works for so many occasions, and has become my go-to in the West Village.I'd recommend any of the pastas they have available, and definitely save room for dessert.(Also, their take-home Thanksgiving pies are incredible; they're the reason I look forward to November every year.)“

“It is easy to see why this place is on the Michelin radar! The service was well above average (new dinnerware between courses, dish descriptions upon delivery, very attentive). The food was incredible. Our server recommended four courses for two of us and that was perfect—we ended up pleasantly full but not stuffed. We tried two toasts (artichoke pictured left, roasted beet right); the tamal, which had the tenderest jackfruit I’ve ever tasted; and the risotto with seasonal mushrooms, which had us oohing and ahhing at every bite. We had the first reservation of the evening at 5 pm and enjoyed a lovely quiet meal. The seating is tight and it was filling up by the time we finished, so if you’re prone to sensory overload an early time might be the move!Vegetarian options: Menu is fully plant-based/vegan“

“The MOMA was our first stop on our recent trip to New York. I wasn't sure how the timing was going to work, so didn't make a reservation for The Modern and I was hoping we would be able to get walk in service. I also wasn't sure if we'd be able to get a full meal or just a snack as our dinner plans were rather early that evening. We decided to try and see what happened.Wow! I'm so happy we tried. We were helped through the locked door to The Modern by a very helpful staff member walking by, I was a bit shy to ask for help (I had already requested directions) and was met with a warm smile and enthusiasm. We were let into the locked door and walked down to the host stand. The hosts seemed really happy we were there :D Which was really nice, as I mentioned we hadn't made a reservation, so I was feeling a bit apprensive. We were shown to a table right away, after expressing we preferred a table to seats at the bar and got to take in the restaurant space. It's beautiful and it is exactly fitting to a modern art museum. It has a sophisticated and approachable atmosphere and it was obvious from the restaurant buzz that it was a true mix of clients - regulars, tourists, newbies - everyone was here. Our server was professional and polished and very helpful. We quickly realized that a full meal was not happening that visit, but we both absolutely needed a snack and some wine before we set out to find the art we were looking for.As we hadn't made reservations, we had the The Bar Room Menu, which suited us perfectly. My husband had the steak tartare, as it's one of his favourites. He was very impressed with the plating, loved the taste and kept talking about how there was something wonderful and minty on his plate.I had the friend chicken, honey and fries from the snack menu and it was beautifully presented in it's own chicken bucket :D and was wonderfully tasty. Too bad for me, I couldn't finish it all, so if you order this when you visit, be sure to share it with someone. We indulged in a glass of wine each with our snack, as it was mid-afternoon, no bottle for us. The wine by the glass menu has a great selection and is varied. We really appreciated it.Even though it was a brief visit, we greatly enjoyed it and hope to return another time for a full meal.“

“Absolute top of the line dining experience. My wife and I have been to numerous Michelin starred restaurants and after a while you feel like you’re just eating the same 17 course tasting menu over and over again. Luckily, Le Pavillon allows you to order proper portions and have a real meal and the overall experience was way more impressive than the already high expectations we had.I started with a take on chicken soup which was impressive and delicious, my main was a beef duo with incredible vegetables and sauces, and I finished with the best banana pudding I’ve ever had. My wife had an onion tart that was a play on French onion soup, incredible duck, and then a play on an ice cream cake. The service was impeccable and friendly without being snobby at all and the decor was beautiful, with an entire indoor garden in a high rise with tons of storefront glass. Look one way and there was nature - look the other and it’s the city. Everything was impressive and wonderful and we’ve already talked about returning.“

“Had an amazing experience sitting at the bar at Madre. This place has it all. Great cocktails, food, wine and attentive service. Chris was our bartender and even though he was very busy, he didn't miss a step, understanding what type of food and drinks we'd like and making great suggestions. My wife and I shared a few dishes and also sampled each other's drinks, with everything coming out superb. We really enjoyed the oysters with the strawberry mignette, the agnolotti and the chicken. Oh, and the cornbread. Finished everything off with a banana souffle desert. Will be back.“
“This is a new generation fine dining which is unpretentious, low key and focused on food. The ambiance is romantic and tasteful, you totally forget you just had to step over a couple of crackheads on the street on the way here (in the end it is LES, not the best place to sport your diamonds). The celebrity former "teen chef" Flynn has definitely done amazing job and gained his name in the industry. At the same time he is very approachable and you will most probably see him bringing one-two courses to your table. We tried Flora menu ($155 for 8 courses) which was vegetarian and mostly delicious but I had higher expectations. I loved probably 3 savory courses, the dessert was good but a bit too sweet and rich on dairy. The amount of food was good and we didn't leave overstuffed (but we are both thin ladies), an average American man might still want to go get some pizza afterwards:)The service was very friendly and nice, execept one faux-pas when a waiter poured my sparkling wine in the same glass whivh I had tried a white wine from. Their wines by glass are very reasonably priced btw. Overall verdict- definitely worth a visit if you love fine dining and have funds to spend.Vegetarian options: The whole Flora menu was vegetarian“

“Best experience!! We had a private event at American Brass in January for about 20 people. Everything was perfect! The restaurant is gorgeous, and the food was delicious! We loved the style and atmosphere of the restaurant. Our menu included a champagne toast, appetizers, their amazing focaccia bread, steak frites, the polenta, passed desserts, and a cake. They were also able to accommodate a vegetarian option. It was all so good!! Everyone really loved their food, as well as drinks at the bar afterwards! The staff are all incredibly friendly and accommodating. Tegwyth, American Brass’s Events Manager, was so thoughtful and instrumental to planning our event! She worked closely with us for months leading up to the party and had great suggestions. Ellen, American Brass’s Executive Pastry Chef, made us the most beautiful and delicious cake. Everyone was raving about the cake! Juan, our server, was also phenomenal and went above and beyond. The restaurant is directly across from the Gantry Park Piers, great for photos. Everything was beautiful and polished. It felt fancy and well put together. Highly recommend American Brass and their team for small weddings and events! Thank you again!“

“Overall - really unique spot that I recommend! The food was the highlight. Kangaroo tartare is a must (details stood out - the homemade chips on down) and the monkfish was one of the more unique fish dishes (along with some incredibly flavorful fried sunchokes) we’ve ever had. The venison heart skewers were tasty and fun, but nothing to write home about and I’d probably skip them next time.Wine menu was solid and the glasses we had were new to us/also well priced.Service was good overall - had a mix of team members working with us and the owner (?) came by multiple times to make sure everyone was doing okay, which was a nice touch.Ambiance-wise it was so so because we were in the back and also sat in between other seatings so it was oddly empty for part of the meal, but I chalk that more up to circumstance than the restaurant itself. The check - we paid $220 for two small plates, one large plate, and 4 glasses of wine. This isn’t bad largely because the wine glasses were well priced and we didn’t eat a ton. The food is definitely on the pricier side for the dish size ($25-30 for small plates, $50+ for large) but not super expensive.“

The Charcuterie and the sourdough bread , though basic sounding, really was delicious as well. “This is a charming little restaurant in the village. We go every time we visit NYC. Great atmosphere, great staff and great food. I would go on about what you should try but we have eaten all the appetizers over the years and they never disappoint. I haven’t finished the entire entree menu - all good - but I always like to come back to the chicken. I am not much of a desert person but the beignets are fun to share. The team is friendly from the get go and we felt taken care of by the friendly staff. We went for the roast chicken and it didn't disappoint. Don't expect it to be life changing but it is among the best roast chicken in NYC: juicy with great flavor and an amazing crispy skin served with their version of a chimichurri sauce. Delicious. “This place is WONDERFUL. I came here with my son after spending the afternoon at Urban Air Adventure Park. We got two half box orders of boneless thighs (original crispy and soy garlic/sweet & spicy), fries, and water. The chicken took about 15-20 minutes to cook, but it was well worth the wait. My son (the pickiest eater in the world) LOVED the boneless thighs, and even the French fries. I thought everything was seasoned and cooked to perfection. The flavors were all fantastic, with the soy garlic being my favorite. The fries were also some of the best fries I've ever had. Super crispy on the outside but fluffy on the inside. The food also came with Cole slaw which was DELICIOUS, and I say this as someone who normally strays away from Cole slaw.Customer service was excellent. The woman at the front was very friendly and clear with describing the food. Their presentation was top notch also. The food was packaged beautifully and even the bag it came in was just really well designed. It was like opening a holiday gift of delicious food. I would highly recommend paying this place a visit, although you'll probably have to do take out since they have limited seating. That's probably the only downside I can think of, but they still deserve 5 stars overall“
