“If you're looking to bring FLAVOR to your wedding- look no further because Aiyanna and Keith at MAHFY are truly something else. They catered our wedding this past weekend and our experience could not have been better. The food was outstanding and got rave reviews from all our guests (I was delighted to see many people going for seconds.) And it wasn't necessarily just one standout- it was everything: the beef burgundy, the chicken francese, the salmon, the mac and cheese - and especially that cornbread. There is no hyperbole when I say that we even had people telling us that this is the best food they've ever had at a wedding.The phrase that 'you can taste the love' in food is overused - however it's the best way to describe what MAHFY does. Their food is seasoned to perfection, crafted with the utmost skill and the menu is varied (with completely fair prices.) To top it all off, they are a joy to work with.On that note, the customer service was off the charts- we felt taken care of in every step of the process. From their timeliness in early communication to the in-home tasting to the venue walkthrough and finally to the wedding day itself: they were kind, empathetic, and made us feel like they were excited to be part of our team. It genuinely felt like they cared about the wedding as much as we did and we leave this experience not only impressed professionally but touched personally. We are eternally grateful to the universe for putting MAHFY in our path for our wedding and a heartful thank you goes to Aiyanna and Keith for the magnificent work they did. Bravo!!“

“We went there yesterday to celebrate my friends birthday and wow what an amazing experience! The food was great I had chicharron Monfongo. The staff came with tamboras y guira to sing HB. Then we went to the club site.Our waiter Ray was absolutely the best, always checking on us and making sure we had everything we needed. Definitely ask for Ray when you visit Bonfire.“

“I love eating here. It's quite possibly the best Jamaican food in the area and in Paterson. There aren't too many cooks in the kitchen, so the quality control is high. The consistency of their fresh food is what makes me keep coming back.In my visit earlier today, they gave me the privilege to taste their newest food item, protein soup. This bean based soup is savory without using any meat. It's perfect for a hearty snack or perfect for after a workout.“

“I've worked pretty close to this spot for yrs and never knew it existed (rarely take Broadway), my crew and I are working a job right up the street and decided to check it out. I've tried pollo guisado, carne guisado and of course pernil (I'd eat it everyday of my life if I could) and ea dish was outta this world. Empanadas, chicharron and maduro are all excellent too! The staff is always friendly, the food is always fresh/delicious/hot and the prices are more than fair. Once again...mom/pop spots reign supreme!!“

“An awesome super friendly place to come. Welcomes everyone. Very unique place. The grill has a Caribbean flare, with curried onion burgers and stewed chicken. They make their rum punches on site and they're refreshing and taste authentic. They have many events and lots of live music. The bar is ridiculously clean. Can't really go wrong here, whether you're flying solo or running with friends. Can even bring kids earlier in the night.If you like cheese steak get the J*** cheese steak! “What a great place... Every time I go it's like I enter a store in Colombia for a moment, you breathe Colombian air! The people who serve are very friendly (there is a boy who always has a smile for the customers), I love the food they sell there, ufff it is delicious!!!!I go very often to buy cheese bread, the 9 am type is warm and super spongy. I really want to congratulate the staff for doing their job very well.PS: It's incredible but every time I go to the market Colombian music plays: cumbia, salsa, merengue, etc., good for that! My only small recommendation is to turn down the music a little since sometimes it sounds very loud.“

“My partner and I decided to try this place based on the reviews and let me tell you it did NOT disappoint! We ordered the large jerk chicken meal, macaroni and cheese, and small chicken soup! This is a hole in the wall spot! Our food was DELICIOUS! I will 100% be ordering again but a LARGE chicken soup. The soup had so much flavor and the chicken just slipped off the bone! The mac also had so much flavor and was so good! The jerk chicken was a bit spicy for me but I don't have a high tolerance to spice. My partner said it was good! He couldn't decide what part was his favorite and said he would go back again! The service was great! Next time you get gas, help yourself to some hearty, home cooked Jamaican food!!“

“Came in last week to try Haitian food for the first time. A coworker from Haiti recommended this restaurant specifically.I got the oxtail stew and it was amazing. Tender meat in a flavorful sauce. And it comes with a weeks worth of delicious rice and beans, Plantains and baked mac to boot.Stopped in today for the fried pork and it was the best food I've had in a long time. Love the spicy pikliz!The restaurant itself is small with a few tables but has an extremely warm welcoming feel. Staff are some of the friendliest people I've ever seen.“

“Came here on a Thurs late morning/early afternoon. We were greeted and served by the owner, what a pleasure. The ginger tea was AMAZING, large slices of ginger were served in the cutest personal size carafes which made the tea nice and STRONG. I ordered the red snapper w Mac n cheese and my finacé had the shrimp and grits. I rarely eat all of my food but I didn’t want to stop eating. I’m not a big grits fan but these were delicious coming from a non grits fan. Will definitely come again!“

I was literally blown away by the iconic authentic representation of the cultural Jamaican dishes?I had purchased Jerk Chicken, Curried Chicken, Brown-Stewed Fish, Oxtail, Ackee and Saltfish, Rice and Peas, Callaloo and Saltfish, Fried Dumplings, and was treated to delicious slices of fried plantains on the side...(I know I must be causing somebody's mouth to be watering just about now...Lol)I also purchased a variety of natural juices, namely Beetroot, Carrot, and other types of "strong-back" punch...?I don't think I need to tell anyone that I had a feast?. The food was truly awesome.I had also purchased Jamaican style Rum Cake (some folks call it "brown cake"), Potato Pudding, and sorrel, considering the fact that my birthday falls into the last and best month of the year...Lol.Nadia and her staff are representing Yard (Jamaica) with high standards, excellent service, and the amazing quality of the food she serves says it all...Since my initial visit and purchases, for me, ALL roads leads to Caribbean Grill, located in Montclair, New Jersey. “OH! MY! GOD!!!! I just ate there today for the first time taking a risk and OMG it was SO GOOD!!! Also, the restaraunt is very clean and I love the decor on the inside. Small, intimate, but very nice and welcoming. I had fried fish and Yuca and it was absolutely divine“

“I’ve had this location cater a gathering for me at least 2 times and each time has been a hit! Friends always ask me where I got the food from. The staff is friendly, professional and they know how to cook! I appreciate all of their help and I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again!“

“We went for Happy Hour and tried 4 appetizers. The beef empanadas were a good size, filled with beef and veggies. Was delicious. Come 4 in an order. Also tried the Yuka cheese sticks and I loved them. Soft and go great with the creamy side sauce. The jerk shrimp was also delicious with the warm bread it brings. Wings were good but a bit spicy for me since currently I cant eat anything spicy. Overall was a great meal and our waitress Brianna was very attentive. Will definitely be back.“

“Aside from the place looking rundown the food was amazing my bf and his mom order a chicken and beef empanada and it was fresh and said was good I however ordered there empanada Supreme which they make on the spot and I did my vegan style no meat and was one of the best empanadas I ever had. You do have a choice to have it with chosen beef or beans as well but if you go here you should deff try the empanada Supreme. I would definitely come back here if I'm ever in the area again.Vegetarian options: The empanada Supreme without any of the protein option or you can get the bean options I did not. “They certainly is A Mama in this kitchen with blessed hand. Food is constantly good and always hits the right spot. If you don't know how to cook and your trying to get to your mans's heart. Pick up food from Mama'a kitchen and you found yourself another way?. Another Grocksmooth approval!“

“Overall food is good and decent portions. My main complaint is that it’s inconsistent. I’ve had food from here multiple times, mainly due to convenience but stopped going for a while when I realized the food wasn’t always made the same. The rice, cabbage etc is the same but I’ve had oxtail, goat, curry chicken, stew chicken, ackee & saltfish and seems like sometimes they’re a hit and other times a miss. I haven’t put my finger on if it’s different chefs or the same one changing it up on me.“

“The neighborhood is a little sketchy and the lady is rude but they have great food and the guy that works there is professional and kind.Vegetarian options: The have vegetable patties and spinach patties that are good.Parking: The location isn't the best as far as safety goes so getting a park as close as possible to the establishment is best but it's a busy street and area so that may be difficult.“

“I came today for my late weekend birthday. ?????? Brianna B ?????was my waitress and she was amazing from the start to the end of leavings. She kept checking on me and my friend to make sure everything was good or if we needed anything. She’s very approachable! Loved her energy! And tell the chef his cooking is a blessing!
