We had gone here multiple times as it was close by but every single time the customer service was terrible. The person in charge was always getting our orders wrong, was very rude every single time. I wish I could give zero stars. I would rather drive an extra 15-20 mins to the next DQ going forward instead of coming here.

Always an exceptional experience at this location! The gentleman that runs the place and serves the ice cream is amazing at his job and never misses a beat!

I am relatively new to Dairy Queen (DQ). I first started going to the one on Route 9 South and have been pleased with their service and what I have purchased. The other day, I stopped off to pick up something in Harbor Freight in Hazlet and upon leaving, decided to stop in DQ which was a few doors down. I should have turned around and left because as soon as I entered, there was a strong smell that reminded me of paint thinner or some other noxious smell. However, since I was already there, I decided to purchase a strawberry shake. Did I mention that no one greeted me, and the man who finally came acted as if he was doing me a favor. I could barely hear or understand him because he spoke so low. Once he took my order and prepared it, I had to ask him for whip cream because he certainly did not ask me if I wanted any. Additionally, I felt it was my due since the shake was so expensive. I hurriedly paid and left the store before I fainted from the fumes. When I got in my car and took a good look at my shake, it was 3/4 full with a small dollop of whip cream on top, and besides that, really watery. On top of that, it tasted so horrible that I threw it out! This was my first and last time patronizing this Hazlet DQ establishment and I can promise that I will never do so again. As a final note, I really don't understand why the gentleman hasn't been removed from working behind the counter, or at the very least, be made to attend customer service classes.

I am not the type of person to leave a bad review, or even a review for that matter. I walked out of this place in disbelief and a concern for anyone's health who came in recently. I ordered a tiramisu cake shake. As i was walking out i noticed some mold at the top of my drink. Dig a little deeper into it, more mold. different colors that looked like they could have been a topping mixture. As i was staring at it the guy behind the counter asked with an attitude, "What, what." I politely showed him and he grabbed my straw; opened it... used it to take off a top piece of mold and throw it away... JUST the one moldy part, and HE HANDED IT BACK TO ME. I said no no theres more in there. He immediately started to angrily make me another of THE SAME DRINK FROM THE SAME BATCHES OF INGREDIENTS... I just asked for my money back in which i got an attitude for as well. My mind is blown about this and i imagine there being more mold in some ingredients.
